I said this to point out that there are guys to tie their beards to impress girls, so it is for them that what they are doing is not a good thing. Thats it. It means nothing more than that. To impress girls with tied beard or khulli dahri is both wrong. We have to impress our Guru only. World's views keep changing time to time, but Guru's teachings will be true forever. With khulli dhari a Sikh looks full of life.

We also had this discussion on americansikhs yahoo group long time ago and girls there too, preferred khulli dahri. I think most of the guys who tie or put gel on their beards do so to impress girls, but now i have read the discussion on both forums, that girls do not like tied or gelled beards. To me personally, khulli dahri is a real saroop of a Singh, a Lion. We should be proud of our beards. I apply lil baby oil to it cuz it becomes dry after taking shower, just like hair on our head, and comb it. bhul chuk di khima jaswant singh

I think there are more than one version or Sau Sakhi. I wasn't used to believe that Sau Sakhi was written by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji untill I read a book about Sant Attar Singh Ji when Sant Ji says to someone, "Haven't you read Guru Gobind Singh Ji's Sau Sakhi?" I don't know which sau sakhi was written by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. A Raagi Singh in our local gurdwara told me that Namdharis have the original Sau Sakhi and they made many photo copies of it and distrubuted among sangat at Delhi during 1984. It was written in it that Sri Harimandir Sahib will be attacked my a widow, which happened in 1984. Jaswant Singh
