FILM PK SHOWS SIKHS IN BAD LIGHT, SIKH SENTIMENTS HURT Note: The following is a joint perception of 2 individuals whove seen the film. Each person should view the film and judge for themselves. Op Ed by: Jatinderpal Singh and Jaswinder Singh Watched Aamir Khans PK the movie today, After watching the movie I was hurt on many instances in the movie. It has shown disgrace on all religions but I will talk about Sikhism. Some of the noted points were: 1. They have shown an Old Sikh men begging for money by telling a lie to feed dinner for his wife in Hotel Lalit (five star) on their Marrige anniversary, though he asked for money in a style to return it back because he was short of money at that time, but this step was taken to disgrace Sikh community which was merely found begging. The image portrayted in this scene clearly shows a Sikh in bad light in the form of a petty beggar. 2. They have shown one sikh person with open hairs as Hindu Pandit (in this scene all religion people changes their dress, hindu became sikh, chiristian became Muslim) but it had put in disgrace to our kesh. A Sikh doesnt walk around with open Kesh, even though its a film religious articles should be respected 3. In another scene sequel to point 2 above, they have deturbaned hindu who was in Sikhi saroop and said all are equal, they said sikh se pagdi utar gai ban gae muslim, dhadi utar gai ban gae hindu, sab barabar hai) they have shown disgrace to turban. This is the Point Which surpassed anything I had ever seen which beyond hurt my sentiments 4. In another scene, a Sikh student boy in patka going to give exam bow his body ( pura let ke ek pathar ke aage matha tekta) Disgracing principles of sikhi- sikh murtipujan nai karde. In this particular scene heres what happens: Amir Khan spits on a random rock and puts down a few coins of money and he says watch how my investment will more then double in 15 minutes. Immediately following this, A Sikh boy is shown laying down and does matha tek to this random rock with spit from Aamir Khans mouth. It was the height of embarrassment for me as a Sikh watching this because Sikhs dont believe in such things. The shocking thing is that Hindu students who believe in idol worship were shown just folding their hands in front of the stone while the Sikh child was shown laying down completely and then hands folded in front of this stone like a total <banned word filter activated>. Sikhs dont pray to idols or statues of any kind and so showing a Sikh boy laying down to and doing matha tek to a rock with split is beyond hurting Sikh religious sentiments. The above points are ones perception, one might view the film as a Bollywood Flick where anything is possible and ignore these things, but as a Sikh we need to preserve our identity. Sikhs are over protective and dont tolerate such things because if they show such things now in future theyll exceed their limits. The degradation occurs when film makers start to portray religious faiths in negative light. We in the Sikh faith have cherished our articles throughout history and we as a Sikh cant watch degradation occur in front of our eyes especially our Kesh and core beliefs. Chief Khalsa Diwans museum has restored 75 weapons of Shastar Naam Mala penned by Guru Gobind Singh Ji! The Chief Khalsa Diwans museum boasts of 75 weapons mentioned in the Shastar Naam Mala penned by Guru Gobind Singh. Weapons on display at the Chief Khalsa Diwan museum located on the Central Khalsa Orphanage premises in Amritsar. You may have seen museums preserving articles of historic importance for posterity, but in a unique initiative, the Chief Khalsa Diwan here has got the weapons of the times of Guru Gobind Singh made afresh on the basis of their description in Shastar Naam Mala compiled in Dasam Granth and showcased them in a museum. When The Tribune team stepped into the museum, located on the premises of Central Khalsa Orphanage, it was pleasantly surprised to see shimmering weapons tastefully displayed in glass cabinets with each weapon having its name mentioned in Punjabi and English. At the centre of the museum is a huge portrait of Guru Gobind Singh and below it is a picture frame displaying a few verses of Shastar Naam Mala, a composition mentioning the names of weapons used during his lifetime. On either side of the Gurus photograph are two huge spears Wada Sela and Naagni Wadi. While Wada Sela was used to tear apart shields sitting atop an elephant on the battleground, Naagni Wadi is a type of spear with its head in serpentine shape, with which Bhai Bachitter Singh took on a drunken elephant during the second battle of Anandpur. The museum till now has succeeded in procuring 75 weapons mentioned in the Shastar Naam Mala. These include shamsheer, marthi, sela barchha, baaghnakha, faadi guraj, saithi, kadara, safajang, bugda, kirch, karauti, khanda, wadkari, kattas, shikarga, badamcha to name a few. On the one hand, you have baaghnakha, a claw-like weapon designed to fit over the knuckles and on the other you have jamdaadh, two-blade dagger which looks like demon tooth. Then there is sarohi (a special sword), bichhua (crooked dagger), asi (curved sword), and different types of arrows. The museum also boasts of microfilms of 67 hukamnamas (edicts) of various Sikh gurus, which include 24 of Guru Gobind Singh, 28 of Guru Teg Bahadur, six of Guru Hargobind and eight of Mata Sundari. Surprisingly, not many people are aware about the museum which came up about a couple of years back. Orphanage official Daljeet Singh Bedi and Superintendent BS Saini said the museum was a treasure trove of knowledge for the new generation. Though the Diwan authorities say it is open to all, no effort seems to have been made to draw the visitors. Not even a board has been put up outside the orphanages main entrance highlighting the museum. Dwelling on the genesis of the idea, the Chief Khalsa Diwans honorary secretary and orphanage in charge Bhaag Singh Ankhi said he would often read the names of weapons, while reciting gurbaani and would wonder how they would have been. One day I decided to raise a museum in which we can put on display all such weapons so that the next generation not only reads about them but can also see them. First I zeroed in on an expert who could guide me in this job. Then I travelled to Maharasthra, Agra , Patiala and Damdama Sahib in search of these weapons. Sikligars of Maharashtra were a great help in reproducing these weapons while the Nihangs also chipped in with their effort, he averred. On publicising the museum, he said they would take the necessary measures in this regard very soon so that the people, including non-Sikhs, can be sensitised on Sikh history. The Shastar Naam Mala is made of 1,318 verses spread over five chapters in 98 pages in the Dasam Granth. The opening chapter of 27 verses is an invocation to Bhagauti (sword) for assistance and contains the names of 30 weapons. Here the sword is personified as God. In the list that follows, the weapons of the day are presented under fanciful names, such as Baaghnakha, Toofani Gola, Naagani Wadi and Aradh Chandar Teer. Many of the weapons are listed in the form of riddles. The second chapter, having 47 verses, revolves around chakra (spears and quoit) though it also mentions about sword, jamdadh and sehthi. There are 178 verses which dwell on different names of arrow, while another 858 verses name modern weapons like the gun. Hence, this museum is a treasure trove of knowledge for the new generation! ਕੈਲਗਰੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦਿਲ (ਹਾਰਟ) ਰਿਸਰਚ ਚੇਅਰ Written by charhdikala Thursday, 04 December 2014 15:00 ਐਡਮਿੰਟਨ, 4 ਦਸੰਬਰ (ਜਰਨੈਲ ਬਸੋਤਾ) : ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਆਫ ਕੈਲਗਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਲਵਾਕ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਦੇ ਨਰਸਿੰਗ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦਿਲ (ਹਾਰਟ) ਰਿਸਰਚ ਚੇਅਰ ਅਗਲੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿਚ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਬੜੇ ਮਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦਿਲਵਾਕ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਫਾਊਂਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੇ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਹਿਰ ਡਾ. ਅਨਮੋਲ ਕਪੂਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਥੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਬਾਰੇ ਖੋਜ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਫੁੱਲੇ ਨਾ ਸਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਚੇਅਰ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਜੋ ਜਿਊਸ਼ ਧਰਮ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ 'ਤੇ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਸਾਊਥ ਏਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੇਕ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਚੇਅਰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਡਾ. ਅਨਮੋਲ ਕਪੂਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਚੇਅਰ ਲਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਕਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਧਰਮ, ਸਮਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਇਨਸਾਨੀਅਤ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਚੇਅਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਭਾਵ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਉਤੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲਗਭਗ 1 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਡਾਲਰ ਖਰਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ 1/2 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਡਾਲਰ ਦਿਲ ਵਾਕ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ 1/2 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਡਾਲਰ ਯੂਨੀਰਵਸਟੀ ਆਫ਼ ਕੈਲਗਰੀ ਖਰਚ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਦਿਲ ਵਾਕ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਇਕ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੋਫਿਟ ਆਰਗੇਨਾਈਜੇਸ਼ਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਕਿਸੀ ਵੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਫੰਡ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੱਧਰ 'ਤੇ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਫੰਡ ਰੇਸਿੰਗ ਈਵੈਂਟ ਕਰਵਾ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਾਊਥ ਏਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਾ ਆਪਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਵਡਮੁੱਲੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਹਿੱਤ ਆਪਣਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਵੇ। ਡਾ. ਅਨਮੋਲ ਨੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਮਾਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਆਪ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧ ਕੇ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਦਾ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕੀਤਾ। 2015 ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਇਸ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਵਿਚ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਮੇਂ 'ਤੇ ਸਿਸਰਚਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੇ ਅੰਕੜੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਚੇਅਰ ਦੇ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਦਿਲ ਵਾਕ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਤਾਂ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਖਲਅੰਦਾਜ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਨਰਸਿੰਗ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਡਾ. ਕੈਥਰੀਨ ਕਿੰਗ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਊਥ ਏਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਚੇਅਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਦਿਲਵਾਕ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿਰਸਵਾਰਥ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਸੇਵੀ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਰੋਲ ਮਾਡਲ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਢੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਢਾ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਤੁਰਨਾ ਜਿਥੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਇਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਵੀ ਹੈ। Source - http://www.charhdikala.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=3564:2014-12-04-15-00-33&Itemid=102

ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਵਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ “ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਫੋਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਟਡੀਜ਼” ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੋਂਦ ‘ਚ ਅਉਣ ਵੱਲ ਪੁਟਿਆ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਕਦਮ December 4, 2014 by: ਕੌਮੀ ਏਕਤਾ ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਬੀਊਰੋ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ :- ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਬੰਦ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ‘ਚ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨ ਦੇ ਮਕਸਦ ਤਹਿਤ ਅੱਜ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ “ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਫੌਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਟਡੀਜ਼” ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਦਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੀ ਬਿਲਡਿੰਗ ‘ਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੜੀ ‘ਚ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਥਾਪੀ ਗਈ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਡਾ. ਹਰਬੰਸ ਕੌਰ ਸੱਗੂ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇਵ ਨਗਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਘੇ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਬੀਬੀ ਸੱਗੂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ.ਕੇ. ਅਤੇ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਸੈਂਟਰ ‘ਚ ਬਣੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ‘ਚ ਸਿਰੋਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਲ ਭੇਂਟ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਮਾਸਟਰ ਤਾਰਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦਾ ਨੀਂਹ ਪੱਥਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਪਿਛਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰਾਂ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੀ.ਕੇ. ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਨਵੀਂ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਅੰਤ੍ਰਿੰਗ ਬੋਰਡ ‘ਚ ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਖੋਜਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਲਬੱਧ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਮਕਸਦ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੀ ਬਹਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਦ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਜੋ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਡਾ. ਸੱਗੂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਥੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਨਿਵੇਕਲੇ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਫੋਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਟਡੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਫਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਵਲ ਚਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਰਿਸਰਚ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਸੋਰਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੁਕਾਰਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੀ.ਕੇ. ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ‘ਚ ਸੰਪੁਰਣ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਪਰ ਖੋਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਜ ‘ਚ ਜਾਗਰੁਕਤਾ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਮੇਟੀ ਅਹਦੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਇਸ ਬਿਲਡਿੰਗ ਚੋਂ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੀ.ਕੇ. ਨੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਉਕਤ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੀ ਰੂਪਰੇਖਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਖੁਲਾਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ‘ਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਧਰਮ ਜਾਂ ਜਾਤ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਖਤਾ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਹਿਨਤ ਸਦਕਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ‘ਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਭੇਂਟਾ ਰਹਿਤ ਵਰਤ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ‘ਚ ਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਡਿਜ਼ੀਟਲ ਲਾਈਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ, ਵਿਚਾਰ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਹਸਤ ਲਿਖਤ ਬਾਣੀ, ਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ, ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਹੋਰ ਵਸਤੂਆਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਸੈਲਾਨੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ‘ਚ ਕਾਇਮ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਦੂਤ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਟਾਫ ਤੱਕ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੇ ਹੀ ਵਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਖਤਾ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਤਾਂਕਿ ਦੂਜੇ ਧਰਮਾ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣੂੰ ਹੋ ਸਕਣ। ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਇਕ ਇਕੱਠ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ‘ਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸੈਂਟਰਲ ਹਾਲ ਵਿਖੇ 225 ਤੋਂ 250 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਮਤਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਡੀਟੋਰੀਅਮ ਵੀ ਬਨਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵੀ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਤੇ ਖੋਜ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੱਤਵੰਤਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਜੀ.ਕੇ. ਨੇ ਇਸ਼ਾਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉੱਘੇ ਨਕਸ਼ਾ ਨਵੀਸ ਬੋਬੀ ਬੇਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਬੀਨ ਮਠਾਰੂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੀ ਰੂਪਰੇਖਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਜੀ.ਕੇ. ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਸੇਵਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪਣ ਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੀਬੀ ਸੱਗੂ ਨੇ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨਵੀਂਆਂ ਖੋਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ‘ਚ ਫੈਲੇ ਭਰਮ-ਭੁਲੇਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੀਲ ਦਾ ਪੱਥਰ ਵੀ ਸਾਬਿਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ‘ਚ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਇਥੇ ਮੁਹਇਆ ਕਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਨਿਵੇਕਲਾ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੀਤ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਤਨਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਿੱਤ, ਮੁੱਖ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਕੁਲਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੰਢੋਕ, ਜਸਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੱਸੀ, ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਠ, ਜਤਿੰਦਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੋਲਡੀ, ਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਲਵਲੀ, ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਗੁਰਲਾਡ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਲੀਗਲ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਕੋ-ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਜਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੌਲੀ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। Source - http://www.quamiekta.com/2014/12/04/25862/

ਸਿੱਖ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਨੇ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਜਨਰਲ ਮਿਲਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਟਲੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਕਾਰਜ ਅੰਬੈਸੀ ਵਿਚ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਡ ਕਰਨ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਮੰਗ ਪੱਤਰ ਬਰੇਸ਼ੀਆ (ਇਟਲੀ) 2 ਦਸੰਬਰ (ਸਵਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਘੋਤੜਾ) - ਇਟਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਾਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਅੰਬੈਸੀ ਵਿਚ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਕਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੁਝ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀਆਂ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਲੋਕ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਰਹਿਤ ਮਰਿਯਾਦਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਅੰਬੈਸੀ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਡ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਅੰਬੈਸੀ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੈਟਰ ਪੈਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਦੇ ਰਹੀ, ਉਸ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਸਿੱਖ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਇਟਲੀ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਨਾੱਰਥ ਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਅੰਬੈਸੀ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ 1 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਬੈਸੀ ਦੇ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਜਨਰਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤ ਨਾਲ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਸਿੱਖ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਸਿੱਖ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਇਟਲੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੁਖਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਯੂਰਪ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਜਰਮਨ, ਫਰਾਂਸ, ਬੈਲਜੀਅਮ, ਹਾਲੈਂਡ ਆਦਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇਟਲੀ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਇਟਲੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਡਾਕੂਮੈਂਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਇਸ ਵਜ੍ਹਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਟਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਰਿਜ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਇਟਲੀ ਦੇ ਡਾਕੂਮੈਂਟ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਰਿਜ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਲੜਕੀ ਕੋਲ ਪੇਪਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਲੜਕੇ ਕੋਈ ਪੇਪਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ, ਇਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਲ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ, ਜੇਕਰ ਲੜਕੇ ਕੋਲ ਇਟਲੀ ਦੇ ਪੇਪਰ ਅਪਲਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਰਸੀਦ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਲੌਂੜੀਂਦੇ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ ਹੋਣ ਤਾਂ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਜੋੜੇ ਦੇ ਡਾਕੂਮੈਂਟ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ 'ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਪਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਮੈਰਿਜ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਫਰਜੀ ਡਾਕੂਮੈਂਟ ਪਾਏ ਜਾਣ 'ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ, ਇਟਲੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਯੂਰਪ ਹੋਰ ਦੇ ਮੁਲਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆ ਕੇ ਇਟਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਰਿਜ ਇਟਲੀ ਅੰਬੈਸੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਸਿੱਖ ਕਮਿਉੂਨਿਟੀ ਇਟਲੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੁਖਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੰਗ, ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਕਲਗੀਧਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕਰੇਮੋਨਾ ਦੇ ਮੀਤ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਲੱਖੀ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਵਣਜਾਰਾ ਪੌਂਤੇਕਰੂਨੇ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਭਾਈ ਲਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਲਸਾਂਦਰੀਆ, ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਸਿੱਖ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਇਟਲੀ ਦੇ ਧਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਢਾਡੀ ਮੇਜਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ, ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਲਖਮੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਰਿਪੋਟਰ ਸਵਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਘੋਤੜਾ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। http://www.punjabexpress.info/2010-06-22-12-51-36/16781-2014-12-02-22-40-43.html
