I think the relpies have been respectful enough given the disrespectful nature of the blog. That is one seriously distorted view of Sikhi and the relationships between both genders. This is an epidemic that has to be stopped. More Sikhs have won victoria crosses than anyone else, over 2 million Sikhs have died for the British in both world wars. Muslims have done nothing other than tarnish the term 'asian' and kill innocent ppl. Harmeet, Your absolutley spot on and reminded me that alpha 'Punjabi' too banned Major Sandhus song. The problem we have is that the people in high ranks of media like channel Punjab and alpha are run by spineless money making machines who are quite happy to chomp on the bones that the delhi establishment throw from their table. What these people fail to realise is that if they played songs like narkhan nu javeh delhiu diya sarkar, then the respect for them will increase by a million from the sangat, far outweighing any advantages in keeping delhi happy. Once again, don't subscribe to them. Why is it that muslims on their channel like al jazeera and hindus on their channels like zee, star plus, sony, matv have no qualms in waking their ppl up to the truth regarding hot/topical issues but then our so called Sikhs get diorreah at the mere mention of the current situation in Punjab or the affects of 1947 '78 or '84?? And we are supposed to be the lions of Guru Gobind Singh Ji? Shame on them. We need some courageous intelligent articluate brothers and sister to rally round and make a Sikhi channel. Its always been like that KarKirpa, whenever we have had our ideals crushed and our movements suppressed, its always been from the enemy within. This is true right from the Dogra brothers who became traitors to Raja Ranjit Singh's rule to Longowal and Badal who ripped the Panth apart at a time when Sikhi could have blossomed after the 1980s. Now we are facing a different, faceless war because ppl like channel Punjab, wear our clothes, sound and look like us, but they lick the dust off those who have shackled Guru Granth Sahib Ji. They are thrown some scraps off the table of the indian establishment and they are happy with that. To a an animalistic money driven salesmen, integrity, honour and truth are alien concepts. They only befriend and stand on the side of monetary/financial gain. This is exactly what ppl like these are: salesmen of Sikhi, who put on a front of Sikhi Punjabiat but behind their cameras something more sinister is at play. What channel Punjab don't realise is that if they played that song Delhi di sarkar and covered issues such as the detrimental impact of the Dere and showed things like the 84 rally in Hyde Park, the respect for them in this country would increase by a million.

MATV on ch 793 is run by hardcore Hindus, yet they allow a platform for Punjabis and Sikhs to speak about their rights, and air the 'Delhi' song.
