  1. The following is from Sukhmani Sahib, Guru ji have clearly explained to us, that naam simran is the highest of all. Doing Naam Simran in our daily routine will sort out everything of us, it will bring us peace, salvation, brahm gian, spirtual powers, divine qualities, everything is known, 5 evils are eradicated, one gains control over maya, one becomes immortal and eternal. The actual sukhmani in Sukhmani sahib is prabh ka simran/meditation on 1 immortal god No one is born giani, in rememberance of his great, great name everything is obtained, when he's pleased, he's obtained. 2. Well, this is how i do simran. Recite Satnaam Vaheguroo with my toungue and hear it with my ears for about 5-10 minutes, after that recite Satnaam Vaheguroo in your head, imagine your mind reciting Satnaam Vaheguroo do that for as long as possible! you'll get lot of peace after that, this is what i have achieved! Reciting in your mind is not so easy at the begining so you can use your natural breathing for some assistance, for example when you breathe in imagine SATNAAM in your mind and while you exhale imagine VAHEGUROO! the thing about most of us sikhs is that we do not take meditation seriously. Meditation is the most important on the path to vaheguroo. Meditation will not only help us bring closer to him, it will help us self-realise in the long-term and help us kill the panj doots! lowest of the low
  3. What is Rehat Maryada? Is it written by our Guru's themselves? Have they been edited by individuals over time? If so, does anybody have link to the original rehat that were written by our Guru's themselves? (not the edited one)
  4. What im going to say about this is my personal views, still got a lot more to learn in life. So i offend anyone here sorry! Only thing that is mentioned over and over in SGGS is 5 evils. Anger Ego Attachment Lust Desire Everything in this world is MAYA meaning everything in this world is temperory. I'm temperory, you're temperory everything and everyone within this world is temperory except NAAM. Lets not worry about kesh yet, lets talk about 5 evils first. Our mission is to become dead whilst alive. this means we withdraw from all worldly attachment whether it is your family, computer, hobbies, interests, job, money. Everything is false except NAAM. Everything is maya except naam so once you are free of all the 5 evils you are dead whilst alive. There is no hope for life in this world, you'll have naam 24/7 on your mind. Your job is to spend all your life on naam simran and seva. That's it, we havent come here to impress girls. When you understand this, you will not be bothered about how you look. This is what has happened to me. I have realised that we have got this precious life after so much pain. This is our chance to meet god, i dont want to waste it. Everything else is false except God. I have left my kesh, but this doesnt mean i'm good, i am still lowest of the low, im thinking of taking amrit chakh but i dont want to till i fully understand the meaning of it. So bro, don't worry about kes, worry about 5 evils once you understand them you'll know why you shoud leave your kesh too. Also it says in SGGS that everything is under his command. So probably that's why we should leave it too because hair is under his command and we should not fight his command. One more things to keep in mind when you leave full kesh and daari, your mind will be off the girls/boy/other humans opinions even if it is not, atleast other girls wont think of you in that way when they see you full kesh and daari. so bro this is why its so hard to be good you know, if it was easy everybody would be doing it. Looking good is nothing however doing good is EVERYTHING. Just remember bro that this physical body of ours will turn into ashes. It is our soul that will go back to home, so concentrate on soul not physical body. Treat physical body as nothing and soul as everything. i see people keeping full kesh and daari but then chatting s*** on people's back, full of pride egos. They are not true sikhs. I'm one of them. So bro, concentrate on 5 evils and then you'll know the meaning of hair yourself. One more thing bro, when you do seva do not think of anything of return and do not get Ego/Pride that you're doing seva. Lets beg Akal purakh to bless us with devotion, commitment, faith and love to finish this journey and get out of these painful reincarnations and go back to our home hope this helps brother bhul chuk maaf karne lowest of the low
  5. The content below has been taken out from dhan dhan sri guru granth sahib itself. It is on page no. 946. ******************************************************************************** ********* sathigur milai thaa naam dhirraaeae sabh kilavikh kattanehaar || If one meets with the True Guru, He implants the Naam, the Name of the Lord within; all his sins are destroyed. bin sathigur saevae jog n hoee || Without serving the True Guru, Yoga is not attained; bin sathigur bhaettae mukath n koee || without meeting the True Guru, no one is liberated. bin sathigur bhaettae naam paaeiaa n jaae || Without meeting the True Guru, the Naam cannot be found. bin sathigur bhaettae mehaa dhukh paae || Without meeting the True Guru, one suffers in terrible pain. bin sathigur bhaettae mehaa garab gubaar || Without meeting the True Guru, there is only the deep darkness of egotistical pride. naanak bin gur muaa janam haar ||70|| O Nanak, without the True Guru, one dies, having lost the opportunity of this life. ||70|| The word "True Guru" has been used over and over again in Gurbani. But who is really targetted at? Who are our gurus calling True Guru? Is it Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji itself? is it God? or is it humans that have realised God (Brahm Gyanis)? who is that our gurus are calling Sat-Guru? When i read the translations, both GOD and SAT-GURU words are used at the same time in some lines, for example in Mool Mantar "Gurprasad" means that GOD can be realised by True guru grace only. again who is the true guru here? is it SGGS, is it GOD himself obviously God can do that but that is very rare an example of this would be dhan dhan sri guru nanak dev ji who was blessed with his vision himself or is it targetted at humans that have realised GOD (Brahm Gyanis)? I'm not very good at understanding Gurbani, those of you that are good at understanding gurbanis, please tell me who this word is aimed at. It has confused me a lot. Looking forward to hear your comments! Our gurus have clearly said that without True Guru it is impossible to get out of reincarnations and you lose the opportunity of this precious life that you get after so long.
  6. Yes, I've had a look at Satnaam website but i ain't his follower although his website makes a lot of sense to me. I have heard about from brahm gyan from a lot of other places too. I follow SGGS, that is my guru but from the way you're talking looks like you dont follow it much because if you did you wouldnt talk in EGO like u are. You said religious rituals are to help us meet god, first of all can you tell me where are 5Ks mentioned in SGGS? the only thing that is mentioned over and over again is panj doots because they are what stopping us to meet god. Guru ji created 5 K's to give us a khalsa(pure) look and help us with these evils. Whats the point looking pure, when you are not pure? you get my point? I m not desperate for brahm gyan, i'm desperate to get free of these panj doots and get peace and from what i have heard its impossible to completly kill your evils without a Sat-Guru (true brahm giyani). in the mool mantra Ekonkaar, satnaam, kartapurakh, nirbhao, nirvair, akaal moorat, ajoone saibhang, GURPRASAD. GURPRASAD means God can be realised by grace of True Guru. What are your views about this word? do you think the word true guru is aimed at GOD only or brahm gianis too?
  7. Waheguru jee ka khalsa waheguru ji kee fateh pyaare sangato. I want to know more about Brahm Gyan and how one can get it. Apparently this is the only way to see and experience God. In the Mool Mantar it clearly says that God can only be realised by the grace of Sat-Guru(True Brahm Gyani). I'm a sikh myself, i have done alot of bad things in my past. My life recently has taken a big turn, and i have completly changed and i have also left my kesh now. my parents are so happy that i left my kesh, i have recently reading SGGS english translation and as to what i am aware of the only thing that are mentioned in it over and over again is to meditate on the NAAM and kill the 5 evils. Khalsa does not mean 5 K's on its own, it means pure brahm gyani, free from all evils, self-realised soul and these are only achievable through the grace of a True Sant(Brahm Gyani) Also, in order to get free from the reincarnation process we have to die before we die. This death is the second death which is the death of the 5 evils anger, ego, attachment, lust and desire. We cannot kill these 5 evils no matter how we hard we try unless we get Brahm gyan and get out dassam dawar opened. I'm not saying these because i want to get rid of my kesh or anything because i'm not bothered about people opinions anymore, in fact i'm thinking of taking amrit chakh. everytime i talk about sants, brahm gyanis with my parents they just say to me our gurus have said Guru manio granth and sggs is our only guru. I said yeah that is true but SGGS clearly says that god can be realised in this life but only through the grace of Sat-Guru. When i say that they are like no this and that SGGS is our Guru. I have got this human life, i dont want to waste this, i want to get free of these painful reincarnations and go back to my home after death that's why i have started looking for brahm gyanis. My relatives have taken brahm gyan from one these sants, their dassam dawar is opened and they can hear kirtan, drink amrit inside and see jyot. I used to think that is wrong, only SGGS is our only and only guru and we must not go to anyone else and that, i used to go slander saints but i was dumb, in sukhmani sahib it mentions everything about brahm gyani and also slandering of sants. In sukhmani sahib it clearly says Brahm gyani is himself formless Lord. Sant is road to God, but when there are so many sants about these days and you don't know who is a true sant or fake. What are your views about this? I'm sorry if i have said anything wrong and offended anyone, i'm lowest of the low, i want to learn about the truth, follow the truth and become one with truth. I think religious rituals are useless unless you become internally pure and this can only be done by taking brahm gyan and getting your dassam dawar and getting mukti. Please share your views with this brother of yours. Sorry again if i offended anyone. I don't care anymore as long as i realise GOD, get free of 5 evils and achieve salvation, meditate on the Truth, i dont care what the world thinks of me. Sat Naam Shri Wahegurooo
