if i have understood this correctly than the flew is basically saying that the other person who views the garden doesnt suggest a gardener but once the religious person who initially stated there had to be a gardener comes up short he then "qualifies" this by adding on modifications to prove he is right.

I dont think ive ever read anything in sikhi in regard to this mainly because i imagine it being an atheist argument. But in sikhi our statements are qualified to us already w have not had to make further qualifications.

It's good this discussion has been brought up, but what will it resolve?  Women can do kirtan at Sri Darbar Sahib.  The lifestyle of a woman is different from a man's, this is very important to understand.  Before everyone rushes to judgement about what is right and wrong.  Speak to a Gurmukh Bibi and get her take on this.  If her hands aren't free, then you will only get a good lecture from her about lifting your jeevan.  If her hands are free, then make sure you're standing atleast 20 feet back.  Gurmukh sisters have utmost respect for Satguru and they will never let a ounce of disrespect be directed at Maharaj.  You think women are over protected of their young children and go to impossible lengths to protect their children.......you haven't heard a Gurmukh Bibi talk about Maharaj and what our sisters are allowed to do.  Many of you with this western mindset will be very surprised.......Just remember 20 feet back.

Haha "only five" im guessing in your opinion a gurmukh bibi wouldnt allow herself to do kirtan because of her period (something you allude to but dont actually say). Well that is ridiculous as a concept and we as singhs should allow bibia to do anything that we are allowed to do. Thats the problem with west london singh he often bats for the other (muslim) side and his Sikh loyalty and credential's become very doubtful indeed. Its good to provide a balanced point of view but when you neglect the harm that people do to your own Sikh community and you do not say anything to those who try to undermine the Sikhs then whose community do you exactly belong to?

You show your foolishness by not reading my posts when I stated nihaal has form here regarding Sikhs. If this was a one off incident no one would care much. But it seems a common theme when he talks about Sikhs in his programs he tends to put his foot in it and doesn't reflect the views of Sikhs but rather gives his own assumptions on the matter in hand.

Again if you had read my post I agree that Nihal is misinformed and needs educating! Having read/followed this thread I am sorry to say that it has become a pretty shocking indictment of young Sikhs. I don’t know either side in this sorry story, but the lack of respect shown to other members on this site is ridiculous.

This thread for me and I imagine a lot of other Sikhs out there really outlines some problems within our society. The numerous calls to lock the thread are done to keep the truth (if we can ever get their) from coming out. We are a society where our Gurdwara are run for profit instead of helping to make communities a better/stronger environment, where an attempted rape allegation holds no weight, where cliques and friends mean more to us then our brothers/sisters.

There is no doubt in my mind that Mundil Mahil deserves longer than 6 years, she was cunning in her plot to get rid of Gagandeep (I’m sure it had something to do with the money she owed him as well). Gagandeep did a lot of good stuff for the Sikh cause but he has also bought it into disrepute with the allegations cast against him. When gagandeeps own lawyer and family have accepted the “attempted rape” that for me is pretty cast iron (shouting the odds at people who are presenting facts doesn’t help). Penji on here recently commented that he had successfully raped another girl…..that again we cannot confirm or deny as no-one else knows the details.

However If that is the case the only thing to come out of this affair is that our community needs to be more open, honest and caring about issues such as rape. When our fellow sisters can’t come out in the open and tell their families and police about these events that is where we have all failed as a community. My humble benti is that if anyone reads this post that has been affected by rape please go to the police because you can save a life.
