Hi I am a regular Gurdwara go'er but would not say im a dedicated 100% practicing Sikh but I have nothing but maximum respect for it and its elders. I was recently disturbed to hear that a Nanaksar Sant was caught gambling and drinking in canada or america (not sure) and i have also heard that he has a history of this. This has intrigued me to think OK this is a sant here should be respected etc and listened to but this sort of thing makes you feel like a fool. I believe nothing more than ONLY The Guru Granth Sahib is the only thing we should respect. Is there any real need for Sants (other than for running a Jatha) How would the Roman Catholics feel if the Pope was caught in a brothel?

I'm not gullable some people can't accept a Muslim helping a Sikh out. If Pakistan wanted to gain something then tell me what they would have gained in 1947 if we decided to make Khalistan then and didn't go with India? India will bring a civil war to itself because of the way it abuses its minorities there. They are sending there own people in Kashmir read the news and see for yourself they only help Sikhs to go into Punjab :TH: I'm not gullable some people can't accept a Muslim helping a Sikh out. In some sense I see where your coming from but judging by history between Sikhs and Muslims and current climates I would say Pakistan are more of a problem than a saviour for our people, its true that pre partition we did all get along and it was mainly the 2 majority religions Hindus and Muslims that had a power struggle and resulted in Pakistan. However after partition there was a massive refugee crisis and many many sikhs were killed by the train load in some cases and vice versa. I agree with Sher e Punjab we can not trust them. And the idea of having a Punjab /Khalistan answering to a Muslim authority would be more shameful for us, It would be like Palestinians answering to Jews, IT WILL NEVER WORK , and is RIDICULOUS!

Can we compare this to Bluestar?? Based on the fact that Mehdi army and there leader are barricaded in a shrine, which stops the army and police from storming it as it would cause outcry in the Arab world. This makes me think that ok the Arabs are powerful and holds the cards against the western world (the oil fields) I suppose yes this is 2 totally different situations but its intresting to see that the USA (or New iraqi government as they call themselves) is not as aggresive as the Indian Government ie they cleared all innocents out of the way first and they plan to starve them out, why could this methos not have been used in Amritsar?
