  2. did someone say doughnuts? mmmmmmmmmm........anyone tasted the krispy kreme belgian chocolate doughnut..........mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...................sorry, i digress.

seriously, caveman, friends will always rip you off. man if i had a penny for every time i've been screwed over by my 'friends' i'd have about 27p by now roughly..............

dont let it eat you up. either get revenge if thats what you like or forget it and concentrate on something more important like your studies or improving the skills that you use to help others. in my experience the best revenge is being more successful than those who screwed you over, and watching them come back for forgiveness. and then telling them to get lost. the ball is in your court...........

HSD!!!!!! i love you lol, i sooo wish the certain someone reads ''watching them come back for forgiveness. and then telling them to get lost. the ball is in your court...........'' exactly what is happening right now!

and i just came back from macdonlds the bloody cheap buggers put loads of ice, i just took the ice out and they filled it with fanta just half way! rest ice NICE VERY NICE

    revenge

revenge shall happen in the righteous way

  3. Jah - "Jah is the word for God in the Rastafarian culture. It is derived from the Hebrew word "Yah," but it is also believed to be a shortened version of the Biblical name "Jehovah." The word "Jah" appears approximately 50 times in both the Hebrew and emphasized Christian Bibles. Jah can also be found within the term "Hallelujah" which translates to "Praise God" in Judaism and Christianity."

Clearly stated above Jah is a reference to God, in judaism and christianity. It has no link with Sikhi. It is a shame to see our youngsters influenced by this, and to promote other things before talking about Sikhi. Would it not have been more beneficial to write Waheguru that many times in your signature instead of Jah? Or maybe reciting the Lord's name you are reminded of Him and then it is harder to do the bad deeds. We choose to forget Maharaj when we want to commit sins, but soon as we have a problem, we love to go running back to Him! May Waheguru bless us all with the knowledge to take positive steps on the Path of Sikhi.

You talk like your friends have desterted you, and become your enemy, but brother you haven't done what Maharaj tells you and remembered him, you have turned to this ideology of rastafari and spoken of something that has no relevance to you.

My friends, give me your blessings, that I may merge with my Lord and Master. ||3||

We do not understand the blessings of Maharaj, whether it be in any shape or form, we have to learn to accept his will, for everything He does, He does for a reason!

hey, i havent turned to the rastafarian ideology lol i do not smoke cannibis for a start. Also my signiture...''i love you jah jah'' yes i love god, but my signiture refers to a song a old school jah shaka dubplate(i do not expect you to understand that).

jah to me is just another word for god

one thing i really liked ''We choose to forget Maharaj when we want to commit sins, but soon as we have a problem, we love to go running back to Him! May Waheguru bless us all with the knowledge to take positive steps on the Path of Sikhi.''

'You talk like your friends have desterted you, and become your enemy, but brother you haven't done what Maharaj tells you and remembered him, you have turned to this ideology of rastafari and spoken of something that has no relevance to you.''

    i dont have any ''friends''...

    hmmmmm

A bit of a morbid signature, don't you think?

    (And what is jah jah?)

reminds me, shall call you today

  6. Fateh ji sangat ji

    Just wondering..

.. is it a crime to want to look good?

Everytime i go out to gurdwara, reinsabai's, work or social events i take about an hour or so to get ready. I comb and gel my beard, make sure dastaar is symetrical and that each larr is sufficiently spread out on each side of my dastaar, and make sure my clothes are looking very sharp and slick - ie. top brands such as versace etc etc.

I feel that dressing like this reflects my mentality. I am an upbeat and cool character i suppose. i don't do this pull or anything. i just feel that looking cool is beneficial not only for my esteem and confidence, but also i feel that looking good as a dastaar vala makes me a nice sikh ambassador in a white community. but also.. i am 22 and nearly on the marriage market too - so i guess this is good right?

the problem is.. when i go to gurdwara or even when i am in town I get a lot of looks. not like "eurrgh".. but more in a positive way.

should i stop making an effort? my chachi thinks i should ease up abit because if i distract people from god, (eg when at gurdwara) it is an indirect paap?

    LOOOL, made me whitey

'if i distract people from god, (eg when at gurdwara)'

so your syaing you look soo good you can make people look at you in a darbar sahib, damn you must be good looking

'each larr is sufficiently spread out on each side of my dastaar'

    do you use a ruler?

  7. firstly if you have common sense you would know dal teach gatka, they do not teach jung vidiya....

Secondly, if you had actually spent time in the dal rather than just believing everything you are told by Singhs in the UK you would know that jung vidiya is taught at Raqba by a long serving member of the Budha Dal Singh to other Nihang Singhs every morning. Peaceout.

    LOOL

look i try to refrain myself from posting but i have to post now

one, jung vidiya is not taught in budha dal, GATKA is but not puratan vidiya, do not tel me crap like that ok only gatka is known by budha dal

firstly if you have common sense you would know dal teach gatka, they do not teach jung vidiya....

i have spoke to numerous singhs from raqba, and it is gatka taught there not jung vidiya

    ^^^^

Theres an elderly Nihang Singh who learnt from Baba Chet Singh Ji and Baba Santa Singh Ji, both former jathedars of Budha dal, who is currntly teaching at Raqba. What he teaches may no collaborate to what Niddar Singh teaches but it is Jungee Vaars that he teaches.

baba santa singh did know some PARTS of the vidiya not all

  8. If you don't believe Sant baba Thakur singh ji who was a sant! Its not like you going to believe anyone else and there is no one else on here who has that avastha who will be able to tell you so just leave it till the day sant ji will come back and you will get your answer!!

  10. The Singh is King School of Dating for lonely Singhs :

The following advice about women and dating is what I told my younger brother as he was growing up and first began to notice whiskers of hair popping up on his chin and armpits. Clearly, there are lots of brothers on Sikh sangat who are up there somewhere on planet Chardikala and dont need this sort of advice. For the rest of the lesser mortals, you may or may not find some value in this. In order to attract women, we need to do the following:

    1. Create a strong and powerful sense of identity. As Sikhs we are blessed with a strong spiritual and martial tradition. We have certain charactersisitcs such as bravery, honour, kindness, selfless service and sacrifice. Our moral code is based on vand chako, kirt karo and naam japoh. The qualities that Sikhs possess are very attractive. We should promote them in our day to day life, in every thing that we do. Instead of trying to please 'girls' by trying to mould ourselves around them or desparately trying to assimilate into the rest of society, we should be bold and proud, and STAMP our identity and values down hard. Believe me, nothing is more attractive to a woman than a strong man who knows who he is, what he wants and where he is going.

    2. Be Positive. No woman is going to find you attractive if you always play the victim mentality and are constantly moaning. Dont moan about Sikhs having a hard time, finding it hard to get married and get jobs etc. Always be positive. Sell Sikhi and sell yourself as being a Singh. Give the message that Sikhism is the best thing since sliced bread and that you love everything about it. Promote the 'Singh brand'. In fact, you have to make everyone around you feel like they are missing out because they are not Sikhs. Talk about Sikhi enthusiastically, as if it is a great adventure. Trust me, that is attractive. Everyone wants to be part of something that is going places, especially women.

    3. Develop your personality. Dont be a one dimensional android. Become an exciting and interesting person to be around. This could be because you are a funny person or because you are extremely wise. It doesnt matter. Just create an aura around yourself as being an exceptional and distinguised person who stands out from the crowd in some way. Remember we Singhs are sava lakh and we are different to all the average Joes out there. We are special. We need to believe it and we need to radiate it.

    4. Develop your physical presence. Remember that our dastaar and dhara are an asset. The Guru has given us these because they are the signs of ROYALTY and SOVEREIGNTY. Dont hide them. Put them on display and develop them as assets. Learn to tie the baddest and most dangerous looking dastaar that you can. Make it so beautiful that even the most hateful cannot deny its grandeur. If that is not attractive, I dont know what is. Which woman would say no to a King who wears a crown? Also, develop your posture and physique. Nothing is more attractive than a handsome Singh who stands tall and walks like a lion, chest out, stomach in and chin up.

    5. Train in the gym and learn how to fight. One of the most attractive and heroic qualities that Sikhs can offer is their martial prowess. By being good fighters we are demonstrating our ability to defend our women, our families, community and the weak. We are showing that we are true heroes. Not greasy, slimy monay bollywood type heroes with sunglasses. We are the real heroes and we should let that be known.

    6. Develop your career. Work hard in School, get educated and get a top job. Nothing is more attractive than a Singh who is on a fast track to the top of his career. Not only are you more powerful, you are also wealthy and can enjoy a great lifestyle. You are demonstrating your ability to look after a woman and her children and to give them a good quality of life. Very attractive. Makes you a great catch.

    7. Develop your leadership qualities. Women love natural leaders. Anything from being president of a university society to being Mayor of London is going to get you noticed. It shows that you are a great communicator, you are confident, you are powerful and that you have influence over other men. These are chief chracterisitics of a chief or a SARDAR. We are a powerful and influential people. What else could any woman wish for?

    8. Develop your talents. It doesnt matter whether its kirtan, art, gatka, gymnastics. We as Singhs need to take the time to develop our talents and be seen excelling in our chosen fields. Being talented also presents you as being an interesting, intelligent, sharp and able individual. No woman wants to be with anyone who is boring and is completely talentless. So Develop talents!

In Summary, the Guru's, whilst not having dating and attraction in mind, have actually made Sikhism an extremely attractive religion and Sikhs an extremely attractive people. We Singhs have all the natural ingredients to make us the the best saints, the best fighters and the best lovers. We need to stop this moaning and victim mentality, we need to get ourselves in gear, be postive, bold and fearless. We need to go out there and find the women of our dreams... the right sort of women... the best women...The kind of women who will help us on our journey of getting closer to God.

    Long live Singhs

SINGH IS KING, SINGH IS KING, SINGH IS KING, SINGH IS KING

btw is this the singh is king school of dating? for lonely singhs?

wonder what you look like SINGH IS KING...paitala pugh? kundia mucha?

Learn to tie the baddest and most dangerous looking dastaar that you can.

you would love my kenyan pugh

  12. its all about confidence and keeping a woman happy. not every girl in the world is going to like the sikh look, thats obvious. havent you guys heard of the law of averages? just make sure you marry an honest, intelligent woman and have a pile of sikh kids. make me proud :TH:

    Ill make you proud!

  13. On a serious note girls aint that shallow, if you got a crap personality then not many people will like you, and lets face it alot of these "Amritdhari "Chardikala" "Gursikhs" really are the most judgemental people which doesnt help them or anyone who is trying to come into Sikhi.

    :whs:
