Lot of heated arguments are coming up in India on Nuclear Deal. It seems very soon govt will be test on floor of the house as whether it can go ahead or not with operations of such deal. What Sangat thinks, Should Akali dal take independent stand like siva sena and support the deal or Remain with what NDA thinks. From Punjab point of views, my understanding is such a deal is good. As energy cost is getting very high. Any case Centre leadership will be under US for any future foreign policy. What is Punjab going to loose if such deal is passed? I did also read on simarnjit singh mann's article. He was dead agaist the N-deal but I could not understand why. OIL is going up at 142 $ barrel now.

The political battles are won based on strategy. Not on emotional narrya bazi or ranting on small issues.Any person who delivers is winner. It can be Mann sahib or it can be bittu or anyone. Let see how things develop in future. In sikhsiyasat site. I did see lot many videos the way bittu is in fore-front in applying balm on the families who give theirs sons. That's appear good. It makes people confident. I see bittu conducting Seminars in Chandigarh with students & intellectuals . Again is thoughtful collective approach. I wish similar strategy could be being pursue by Mann sahib. At the moment all I see in their videos at akalidalamritsar site Is street fighting in anandpur sahib or rally where their blasted everyone. One thing both sites can do is to put English translations in each of the videos so that wider audience at international level can Understand as what is happening.

The interview is okay. It hurts me when badal sahib and the Shekhar Gupta claims that people Of Punjab have forget 80s & 90s as bad dream. ( they give example thats while all votes are coming to badal shahb, Mann's akali dal gets only 1300 votes in recent election in amritsar) Forgetting it as bad dream is slap on face Of many people who died. I am not saying remember and starts hate people around. But giving respect to dead and learn the lesson to see no blood shed is done in future while at Same time try get our rights back in democratic way.

Swords are not meant to show. They are meant to be used when required. The way sikh are showing swords in Mumbai & other places is pathetic. It is totaly Politically incorrect in front of international media.This is the reason why we are still slaves. That Ram Rahim speaks quietly BUT ACT mercifully by using his men for shoot to kill sikhs . While sikhs speak very loudly but do nothing. By the way, the only weapon remain in this world that is used only to be shown but not used is nuclear weapons. We are poor people. With no army & strength. What are we louding about. Only option at the moment is to demonstrate peacefully and try internalize this issue on human rights and state sponsor terror. Also every sikh ( out side Punjab) have duty to have 2nd home/ house in Punjab. It does not matter how small or big it is . But buy something in Punjab, Planning a long term life outside punjab is not a option.

People here needs some mature political lessons. Sikhs are not strong in India . Get these facts clear.If badal meets some rss chaps or Sarana meets some rss chaps. It is political , social compulsions of the time.I will request all chaps who live aboard first make point to live in Delhi and then talk who is brave and who is real. Gone are days when fighting with weapons some one can make independent states. Take case of LTTE.They have aircrafts, tanks, navy. And that too against small army of sri lanka. Still Tameil Eemle that they are fighting for is No where near. One need to learn from Kosovo example. Pitting big powers against each other is only way from small forces to get their Independent status. If Badal politics make BJP- Congress fight. Good for us. Provincial feeling are already taking ground due to Rich poor divide in India. Be it Maharashtra, Gujarat, south India. . All we need to do is keep cool and do few things for next 5 -10 years 1> Possibly change the economic dependence of Punjab from agriculture to knowledge based industry, service industry & tourism industry For this present akali govt is doing best have new universities, tour trains for tourism etc 2> Keeping sikhi alive by supporting education institutes like buru sahib in Punjab. They tutor pupil about Sikh value from childhood. female foticide, caste based games in punab will reduce then 3> Reduce food grains production from Punjab by moving to organic farming of produce of high value. I.e. less grains but of high cost. Some NGOs are in this area too. Also Punjab govt have put policy in place to force farmers put some percentage of its farm land in organic farming. 4> At international level, keep Sikh agenda in UNO , EU etc,. This will give international reorganisation of Sikhs. Many organisation are doing good work on their front. This is all we can do. 5> possible another thing is try clean Punjab politics from corruption. But is only a wish-ful thinking as media is under centre govt control. It will distribute cheap Hindustan times and other newspaper. Will not allow people to wake up. May be via internet and talk discussion medium some awareness about corruption, drugs problem, how to tackle it will come So blaming or comparing Sarna or Badal is not going to help. Get real

People may disagree. But I think Badal is best in present circumstances. On corruption, drugs etc that is mence in punjab. It is all due to limited power that state govts have in dealing with economic problems of each state. Centre is too strong. It allows drugs to get freely distributed to keep people not asking questions. Corruption again is inherited due to current political system and it is India wide. Now People of Punjab are fearful of 80s & 90s. SO they will choose a leader who will try get our rights using evolution procedure. What most people here in forum want leader that uses revolution procedure. That is hard to come till people get motivated.So badal is best option in present circumstances.

The recent election in South Amritsar for MLA shows how much political hold badal family have It is a Sikh majority area. Four candidates stand in election 43000 goes to SAD badal 21000 goes to congress Only 1200 go to SAD Mann And 300 to a local Independent Result speak who hold political power in Punjab On Bittu I will say. Though the guy is clever. He lacks money power. Hopefully slowly he will builds his party. Only after Badal senior goes out of picture then only real power struggle will begin.

Though best place to buy property now is Close to Chandigarh ie derabassi-mohali belt as airport is coming up But as someone rightly pointed out. Buying a land in middle of nowhere is vary dangerous as people take over it.Though Punjab is govt is try making NRI related courts & police stations. Also nothing will come for 8 lakhs money in that area. Minimum get in hand 50 lakhs before thinking to buy flat or small piece of land in that belt if possible try Anandpur sahib as it is indeed best place especially with university is coming up ( Guru granth sahib university) It is expected to deal in many sciences related subjects such a nanotech etc . Also mohali airport to anandpur sahib should be 1 hour drive Only point to make sure is that you have buy a property from genuine client. Perhaps try involve some good lawyer when buying a property if in doubt. Recently I went to see new villas( 800 sq feet, 3 story independent) being built in mohali. Each starting from 1 crore+.The area looks impressive. Big shopping malls, golf course Schools are on that area plan. I think private planner, developer from dubai are coming In mohali to develop the area.

I think you are confused on meaning of reserved seats. The reerved seats are those where only sc/st (low caste) candidates can stand for elections. Any consituncy in india can become reserved seat. It is all on rotaional basis. If party won reserved seat,it does not mean low caste people voted the winner. It means a candidate beloging to low caste win the election. In next election the same reerved seat can become normal seat. At the moment low caste people in punjab are equally dvided between akalis, BSP,congress. So thier impact is low. casteism is biggest cancer to socity in punjab. Perhaps sikh principles from educatoin level are needed in schools . akal achedmey ect are doing good job. Perhaps sangat need to donate money for such organisations.

Someone close in high up does told me, this sukhbir badal has really no idea as how to speak. To top officials , police people he shout as if they are slaves Like "Euraa aah oye. Thenu kihaa si eah kaam nu , ki gaal kitaa nahi. Theri badli kraa du ga mai" etc crap. The population statistics in Punjab at the moment only 52% sikhs, 46 % Hindus and 2% others Another statistics are 80% Punjabis & 20% non Punjabis( bahiyas etc) Another statistics are 30% Jat Sikhs, 70% non jat people Now best thing for Punjab is to get Punjabi nationalism put in place. Simple Sikh nationalism is not going to work unlike in Kashmir Reason,. Kashmir valley have 100% Muslims living. While this is not the case in Punjab(52%)Plus Pakistan is big support for them. No such support exist for sikhs in punjab To get Punjabis hindu on our side , best thing can be to raise "water issue" in place. Anytime this year , supreme court is going to put ruling on punjab termination of all water aggrements in 2003. Also I am sure many hindu Punjabis resent the idea of too many non Punjabi coming and settling in Punjab If 50% of 48% hindus support more being Punjabi ( semi urban, rural hindis), and more power at local level. With 80% of 30% Jat sikhs supporting being more power in local level( anandpur resolution) That means 24 + 24 = 48 % ( 50% hinds , 80% jat sikhs) of electorate with one political party. Now getting rest 50% hindus is out of question. They are typical urban hindu or UP/Bihar Bahiyas that so far used to support congress till in last election when they support BJP. They are and will never like to speak Punjabi , rather hindi . and will prefer to be hindu rather than Punjabi. They will prefer Water goes to delhi even if fields in Punjab get dry. Since their mentality is very anti sikh. So forget abouit them.. They constitute 24% of population in Punjab Now remain 52- 24 = 26% of population 2% are Christians and Muslims. They usually go with power so they can come with congress if it is strong, or they can come with akalis if they are strong. Never take them granted but they are with strong party. So support from them can come easliy Now remains 26-2 = 24% of population. This 24% mainly comfiture of low caste majbi Sikhs. At the moment, they are one who are flocking mainly to Deras etc. getting them back in Akali fold will requesre Jat sikhs to make peace with them. Give them more employment in fields rather than to bahiyas of UP & Bihar even at high cost. This all bogs down to economy of agriculture. If farmers get good money. Semi urban hindu are also happy as arthris get good money. And if Jat sikhs make good political move by employing rural low caste dalits at high rate instead of UP/Bihar bhayias. SO even of 50% of 24% low caste support that political alignment. SO the political alignment becomes 24 + 24 + 12 = 60% + 2 % (muslims,cristans) = 62%. That's what main Akali dal is trying to gain. To become a Punjabi party instead if Sikh party. So far unsuccessful as hindi vote & low caste vote eludes them in last assembly elections. To get anandpur resulotion passed in democratic manner. At 62% electrote support is required. That what I hope badal group try achieve. At the moment current ruling alignment is based on 24% Jat Sikhs vote + ( rest of 50% Hindus who never want to be Punjabi) = 48% of electorate Let see for how long this marriage of convince last. In long run punjab have to leave agricultre as main occupatoin move to services sector with NRI help

I think it is wrong to have Golden Temple making entry for “7 wonders” . Did Vatican apply for the same. Do Mecca apply for the same. Do Jews is jesuesram apply for their monument for the same?People should under-stand. Golden temple is not is happy going holiday based tourist spot. It is worship place with a purpose. I find many Indians clicking photos and new wed moving in indecent manner, with no motivation to seek blessing.. I feels sorry for Sikhs supreme place going to such a low level. And hindvta media is doing best to downgrade the place.NDTV spending crores in producing serial to show 700 year old history of someone called “Daram veer”. People have slowly realize that our land & water resource is Punjab is dying out. Check "Kheti Virasat Mission" They are promoting natural farming. Need of hour is to help farmer in getting slowly on their feet by help from abroad. Since Govt may not help in providing subsidy for such a move( They may give subsidy in fertilizers etc which help big corporate) Many big companies that supply chemicals & pest control are threatening mission people to stop promoting natural farming. Punjab have only 1.5 % of land in India . But majority of fertilizers (50% plus) is placed in this 1.5% only. Saving land is very important now.Perhaps NRIs contribution for such mission will help farmers.
