  1. I have one more question, i plan on buying two Kirpans (about 2.5ft) Do they let those come back to US as luggage?

Though not completed but soon will be... here's guide for Gurdwaras around Amritsar:

    http://www.sikhpride.com/index.php?categoryid=34

Thank you, i will hopefully visit all of them... and post pics here..lol

I'm going for sure, gonna finally be able to fly to Amritsar instead of Delhi, which i'm excited about

gonna hang around amritsar for a while and then go up north a bit to meta Sahib after that gonna go south to ferozupur and be with my family and check up on some land which I'm hoping to buy.

lol.. and i thought my dad was the only one who was interested in buying land.. he wants me to visit some places and "report" back to him on aurrounding anddecide whether we should buy or no...

  2. who thought of using cows dung in india to level your floor and house installation, ewwwww

Actually thast the best natural insulation you can use, it repels household and other insects. It keeps the inside hot or cold depending on the outside temperature, and given time, hardens like cement. And when it gets old you can just through it away as its biodegradable... good for people, money, and environment.. :D

Ops.. almost forgot yes, cow dung is also anti-bacterial...

  3. Posting reply won't help... according to CIA database here in US (and subsequently around the globe):-

    1. Babar Khalsa

    2. ISYF

    3. Khalistan Zindabad Force

Anyone who associates themself or shows support for these organizations (and is caught) can be charged with treason under US Laws and can be held w/o warrant/trial for life under US Patriatic Act.

Eventhough, nobody (authorities) don't really care about these groups in US, but if they feel like you can be executed in US by wearing just a t-shirt etc...

According to me, its not the reporter or newspaper at fault here, ITS US, the SIKHS. We have been on watchlist since 1986 but NOT ONE of us has ever tried to confront this or talk about it with authorities. The reporter is just going by laws and we are (here on this forum) going by opinions and may you like it or no, LAW UPHOLDS.

Here's Appendix F of State Dept report on issuance of Executive Order by President after 9/11 attacks:-

    http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/20123.pdf

And heres the Exclusion order meaning your are not welcomed in US and you can't fly on US registered air crafts and if you are found in US you can be charged at Terrorist and if you are US citizen you can charged with treason and executed:-

    http://www.state.gov/s/ct/rls/fs/2004/32678.htm

The last time US govt updated the terrorist list was 2004, heres a copy BK etc are still on list:- http://usinfo.state.gov/is/Archive/2004/Apr/01-705871.html

ITS ABOUT TIME THAT SINGHS IN UK SIT DOWN AND HAVE A TALK WITH HOME OFFICE... BUT THEN AGAIN FOR SOME SIKHI IS A BUSINESS AND WHO WANTS THEIR BUSINESS HURT WHEN $$$$$'s ARE AT LINE...

I feel like the comments posted thus far are very ignorant. Since when was Khalistan or the right to autonomy, freedom and justice confined to those who have a dastaar. Khalistan is a land for a free Punjab, its link to Sikhi is the basic principle of human rights for all, not just Sikhs, or those with long beards and Dastaars. Khalistan would welcome ALL and provide them with human rights. If we all believe this then why cannot a mona, gora, etc not demand Khalistan as their cry for freedom and justice, why must they meet the illusory pre requisite of a flowing beard and dastaar, before being allowed to ask for justice? What if one of these students is a Hindu or Muslim?

I personally support these students without attempting to measure their spirituality.

Khalsa is for khalsai singhs not for show off veer jio. Incase you forgot the story when guru ji had to test fire a gun, a muslim said/praised andshowed off his man. Guru ji said well he needs something to test his gun, how about you call one of your man? They all shunned away while guru key singh lined up and began fighting over that they should be the one guru tests the gun.

History isn't just for JOY, its to learn something, its something that should be kept in heart all the time just as waheguru's naam should be.

    "Babania Kahania Put Sput Karen"

And yes, i do know very well that Khalistan movement wasn't just for amritdhari singhs etc but for the good of people, and i also know many who were not sikhs gave their life, BUT THEY DIDN'T SHOW OFF or HELD A GUN IN HAND JUST TO SHOW OFF THAT THEY ARE FOR KHALISTAN...

We have become ignorant over the years, the world "khalsa" has become associated with the cool factor and have lost respect, believe it or not, argue or not, khalsa isn't khalsa what it was. There are still singhs out there who are great sikhs and i have looooooooooooooooooooooooot of respect for them, but they don't wear khanda's or t-shirts or what so not.

Considering that a lot of sikhs on the forum are of young age, again it becomes hard to explain.

    Fateh!!

  5. All the people wearing t shirts are clean shave. What religion are they trying to represent. I understand If you have turbun wearing these t shirts make sense.

Exactly my veer jio, it says, ""Our tenth guru said, when all means of addressing the wrongs have failed it is righteous to raise a sword." and my question to them would be, "Do you even know tenth guru?"

I know the working of this site so, now please don't post asking me whether i do or no...

  6. I first didn't want to reply to this post as many more i know won't. But the simple thing is you can't be a missionary while (as my brother says) "murgey di latt ve ni chadde". Before we go in politics, expressing our religion we MUST learn it ourself.

I have done some workshops here on east coast with other singhs and one thing was common, A BIG KHANDA in the neck of a badmash munda and what so not. If you ask me they just wore it because of the "cool factor" (aa term i use for such things).

This incident has nothing to do with religion/politics or anything else. I quite don't feel like writing much as i feel it is self explanatory to those who want to understand it.

In my views, guru ka sikh is and should always be a simple man, because those who show are not left w/ anything; while those who have everything never show it. I quite forgot the gurbani tuk in gurmukhi but'll post if i remember (other are welcome to post if you know it)

    WJKK, WJKF!!

  7. Kent man sentenced in hate-crime beating of Sikh cabdriver

    By Christine Clarridge

    Seattle Times staff reporter

A victim's forgiveness and a defendant's remorse led a King County Superior Court judge to be lenient Friday when she sentenced a construction worker who attacked a Sikh taxi driver last year.

Judge Monica Benton sentenced Luis Vázquez, 21, of Kent, to nine months in jail and 240 hours of community service for the hate crime. He will be eligible for work-release during his time in jail, the judge said.

Prosecutors had asked for a two-year sentence.

Benton said that while racism is pernicious and hate crimes undermine society, forgiveness and remorse play a role in justice as well.

Vázquez pleaded guilty last month to reckless endangerment, second-degree assault and malicious harassment, the state's name for a hate crime, for the Nov. 24 attack on Sukhvir Singh, an Indian-born member of the Sikh religious community.

In court Friday, Vázquez said he did not remember the drunken assault but was ashamed and shocked when he woke up in jail and learned what he had done.

"I'm really, really sorry for what I put you through," Vázquez told Singh during the hearing that was packed with his family and members of the Sikh community. "I'm sorry for making you have to look back over your shoulder when you walk."

Vázquez had been too drunk to gain admission to the Apple Cup at Husky Stadium when he was put into a cab driven by Singh.

While Singh was driving down Interstate 5 at 60 mph, Vázquez punched him, bit him on the scalp and called him an "Iraqi terrorist."

Singh, who pulled to the side of the freeway, told police that he had been afraid for his life and that of others on the road.

Singh fled the taxi and Vázquez followed, court papers said, and the attack stopped only when a Metro bus pulled up and Vázquez tried to board.

Singh said through a Punjabi interpreter on Friday that he and other members of the Sikh community wanted to offer forgiveness to Vázquez once they learned he had no previous criminal offenses and had a history of steady work.

Singh said he did not want to see the young man's life ruined.

"If someone has made a mistake, they should learn a lesson from it," Singh said. "They should be punished accordingly, and it should be known to society that it is not good to have hate toward any human being."

Several members of the Sikh community spoke at the hearing. They talked about how the Sikh are peaceful and have no ties to terrorists but have endured prejudice and slurs since Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

"I hope this message goes to the public," said Gurdev Singh Mann. "You should not be judging people from what they look like."

Vázquez said after the hearing that he was grateful for Singh's forgiveness and that he has learned his lesson.

He is attending an alcohol-treatment program and said he does not intend to drink anymore.

  9. Now scientifically speaking, YES IT WILL BE THE END OF THE WORLD, not literally but astronomically, the world of Fish will end and we will enter in the world of Aries, meaning the world of WATER will end and we will enter the world of FIRE...

To rest, we will enter HELL.. people literally translate religious texts to make s... It says that the world will end as we know it and the everyone will enter in fire.. fire meaning the group of astrological calendar...

The reason chritians etc make such a big deal of it is because we will enter the "world of fire" for the first time since the begining of the abrahamic religions... so they basically think they're going to BURN..

Additionally, in year 2012 earth will literally FLIP upside down (well it began flipping loooooooooong time ago but accordin to scientists the flip will be complted in 2012 so, we see change in compass as north will be literally north not northwest as it is now..)

Hope that calms down things for you guys..lol

  10. Evil things happened in 12th century and as far as i know WAY toomany people died but we still survived... didn't we. Genghis Khan was born, Crusades took place, 50year drough occured, ancient religious temples/churches/mosques etc were distroyed, it was like world war of dark ages as almost every nation/empire of the time was at war... (only time in the history when the whole world was at war) and we still survived...

Good things also happened, it marked the begining of scientific inventions era, new architectural designs were laid out, modern education system was established, empires rose, world united, and many more...

but most of all we survived, again its all bakwas...

  11. Don't worry I'm still alive...lol

Seriously guru ke singh don't believe in this crap, they live as their is no tommorow.. actually tommorows bit further.. they should live as their is no next nanosecond...

And yeah.. the totaling of so called three is so crap.. did we forget there was a century called 12th century... 1+2= 3

  12. No offense but i thought that was India... i guess its about time i visit france

lol since when did india became so clean.

It is clean as i heard from my mom she cam back from india couple of months ago and the pics she took of nagar kirtans seemed clean but CROWDED. And by the way do have something against me, as it seems you comment on my every post and yeah its "become" not "became"

(just joking you can say whatever u like..lol)

  13. Desi Way: Drop it on highway... (Its common around here..lol)

    Gave it away to shelter?

No just drop it on the highway... and hope a state trooper will see and pick it up before it gets runned over by cars going 70mph (110kmh)...
