    ਜੰਮੂ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਆੲੇ ਹੜੑਾ ਨੇ ਿਕਸੇ ਵੀ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾ ਨੰੂ ਨਹੀ ਬਖਸਿਆ।ਸਰਕਾਰਾ ਵੱਲੋ ਭਾਵੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਿਗਆ ਿਵਤਕਰਾ ਸਾਫ ਿਦਖਾੲੀ ਿਦੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਭਾਵੇ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਿਵੱਚ ਿਗਣਤੀ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਵੀਰਾ ਦੀ ਿਜਆਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਿਹੰਦੂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਘਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਗਵਾ ਿਲਆ।ਿੲਨਾ ਿਵੱਚੋ ਿੲੱਕ ਗਰੀਮਾ ਨਾਮੀ ਿਹੰਦੂ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਭੈਣ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਘਰ ਬਾਰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਉੱਜੜ ਿਗਆ।

    ਿਸਹਤ ਖਰਾਬ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਰਕਾਰੇ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ਸਭ ਪਾਸੇ ਮਦਦ ਦੀ ਗੁਹਾਰ ਲਗਾਉਦੀ ਰਹੀ।ਨਾ ਸਰਕਾਰਾ ਨੇ ਰਾਸ ਲੲੀ,ਨਾ ਹੀ ਿਕਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਭਾੲੀਚਾਰੇ ਨੇ।

    ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਜਦ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਜਦ ਬੀਬੀ ਨੇ ਗੁਹਾਰ ਲਗਾੲੀ ਤਾਂ AUSTRALIAN SIKH SUPPORT ਦੇ ਿਸੰਘ ਤਰੰੁਤ ਨੇੜਲੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲੈ ਗੲੇ।ਡਾਕਟਰਾ ਨੇ ਬੀਬੀ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਨਾਜੁਕ ਦੱਸਦਿਆ ਵੱਡੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਭੇਜ ਿਦੱਤਾ।ਸ਼ੇਰੇ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਿੲਨਸੀਟੂਡ ਆਫ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਾਿੲੰਸ(SKIMS) ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਪੁਜਦਿਆ ਸਾਰ ਡਾਕਟਰਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕੇ ਬੀਬੀ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੰੂ ਬਚਾਿੲਆ ਨਹੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬੀਬੀ ਨੰੂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਿਸਸ ਕਰਣਗੇ।ਿਸੰਘਾ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਬੀ ਨੰੂ ਤੰਦਰੁਸਤੀ ਦੇਣ ਲੲੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ।

    ਬੀਬੀ ਦੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਖਰਾਬ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਮਲ ਮੂਤਰ ਖੂਣ ਨਾਲ ਲਤਪਤ ਬੀਬੀ ਕੋਲ ਕੋੲੀ ਵੀ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀ ਸੀ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ।ਿਸੰਘਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬੀਬੀ ਦੀ ਸਾਫ ਸਫਾੲੀ ਕੀਤੀ।ਦਵਾੲੀਆ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਉਪਲਬੱਧ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਿਤੰਨ ਿਕਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੋੜ ਕੇ ਆਉਣਾ ਜਾਉਣਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਸੀ।ਅੋਰਤਾ ਦਾ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੇਵਲ ਅੋਰਤਾ ਹੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀਆ ਸਨ।ਪਰ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਿਸੱਖਾ ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਦਿਆ ਪੂਰੀ ਖੁੱਲ ਦੇ ਿਦੱਤੀ।

    ਬੀਬੀ ਕੲੀ ਘੰਟੇ ਦਰਦ ਨਾਲ ਤੜਫਦੀ ਰਹੀ।ਖੂਨ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਿਸੰਘਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਖੂਨ ਬੀਬੀ ਨੰੂ ਿਦੱਤਾ।ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਕੋੲੀ ਜੀਅ ਕੋਲ ਨਹੀ ਸੀ।ਕੋਲ ਸਨ ਕੁਝ ਸਮਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਿਮਲੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਿਸੰਘ।ਬੱਚੇ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਤਾ ਡਾਕਟਰਾ ਵੱਲੋ ਛੱਡ ਹੀ ਿਦੱਤੀ ਗੲੀ ਸੀ।ਕੋਿਸਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਬੀਬੀ ਗਰੀਮਾ ਨੰੂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੀ।

    ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਿਸੰਘਾ ਵੱਲੋ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਹੋੲੀ।ਬੀਬੀ ਨੇ ਤੰਦੁਰਸਤ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੰੂ ਜਨਮ ਿਦੱਤਾ।ਡਾਕਟਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਿੲਸ ਚਮਤਕਾਰ ਨੰੂ ਵੇਖ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਗੲੇ।ਸਾਰੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਿਵੱਚ ਖੁਸੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਾਹੋਲ ਛਾ ਿਗਆ।ਸਾਰੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵੱਲੋ ਿਸੰਘਾ ਵੱਲੋ ਕੀਤੇ ਗੲੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਕਾਰਜ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗੲੀ।ਡਾਕਟਰਾ ਵੱਲੋ ਿਸੱਖ ਕੋਮ ਦਾ ਤਹਿ ਿਦਲੋ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਿਗਆ ਿਜਨਾ ਘਰ ਬਾਰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਹੜੑ ਪੀੜਤਾ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ।

    ਬੀਬੀ ਗਰੀਮਾ ਨੇ ਜਦ ਿਸੰਘਾ ਨੰ ਿਮਲੀ।ਬੀਬੀ ਦੇ ਅੱਥਰੂ ਵਹਿ ਤੁਰੇ।ਆਪਣੇ ਨਵਜੰਮੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੰੂ ਵੇਖ ਿਸੰਘਾ ਨੰੂ ਕਹਿਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕੋੲੀ ਸਬਦ ਨਹੀ ਸਨ।

    ਅਾਖਰਕਾਰ ਿੲਹੀ ਕੇਹਾ "ਮੈ ਚਾਹਤੀ ਹੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਬੇਟਾ ਭੀ ਆਪ ਜੇਸਾ ਿਸੱਖ ਬਣੇ" ਬੱਚੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵੀ "ਯੁਵਰਾਜ ਿਸੰਘ" ਰੱਖਿਆ ਿਗਆ।

  2. I have come across 2 different ways Singhs end Ardas

    One is where they recite "ਸੇਈ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮੇਲ ਜਿਨਾ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਚਿਤ ਆਵੈ" (please forgive and correct spelling error)

    Another is "ਅੜੇ ਸੋ ਝੜੇ, ਜੋ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆਵੈ ਸੋ ਤਰੈ" (please forgive and correct spelling error)

    I was wondering if we have to do either one, or both can be recited? And I think in any case they are recited right before "Nanak Naam Chardi Kala".

  3. J&K flood victims grateful to Sikhs for shelter at gurdwaras

    Srinagar: Hundreds of flood-victims in Jammu and Kashmir who found shelter at various gurdwaras across the the state are grateful to the Sikh community for their contribution in the rescue efforts.

    Abdul Rasheed has been staying in Gurudwara Shaheed Bunga for past 17 days ever since he along with his family was rescued from his marooned house in Jawahar Nagar here.

    "Floodwater did not spare any community, everybody was equally affected, but we are thankful to the members of the Sikh community" he said.

    Expressing gratitude towards the Sikh community, the flood victims, of whom a majority were Muslims, said they would remain indebted to the community as they helped them without discriminating on the basis of religion.

    "I had never been to Gurudwara before and I am overwhelmed to see the love and care these people gave us. Without being bothered about our religion, they allowed us to live inside the main hall of the gurudwara," Maqsood Ahmed, a resident of Bemina locality, said.

    Besides setting up relief camps at gurdwaras, several members of Sikh community also volunteered in rescue efforts.

    "A sardarji used his turban to pull my drowning family out. We owe our life to him, he even used the turban cloth to stop the bleeding of my daughter's wounds," Shabeer Ahmed another resident of Jawahar Nagar, said.

    Various Sikh organisations from across the country and the globe too have extended help for the relief and rehabilitation of the flood affected residents.

    "UK-based Khalsa Aid and US-based United Sikhs were among the first few charitable organisations which rushed their men and equipment to carry out the relief work in the Valley," a government official said.

    Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DGMC) and the Amritsar-based Shri Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) have set up 24-hour free Langer (community kitchens) at various places across the Srinagar city.

    "Besides establishing Langers at several places in Srinagar, we have been providing packed food for more than 70,000 people daily," DGMC member P S Chandok said.

  4. Miscreants paste BKI posters in Sec 17

    CHANDIGARH: Two days after sending threatening letters allegedly under the banner of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), unknown persons on Friday pasted posters of the banned terror group announcing "Sikh kingdom has been started at Sector 17 in Chandigarh".

    The posters on the walls of showrooms were removed. An FIR against unknown persons was registered. The posters were written in English and Punjabi. It mentioned "harsher punishment would be given to dowry seekers and rape accused". It was undersigned by one jathedar Panvinder Singh Hira. The poster claimed that "a groom will only be entitled to take a barat (procession) of 101 people at the place of his bride in marriage".

    DSP (operations) Satbir Singh said, "It is the handiwork of mischievous elements. As far as BKI was concerned, there is no activity of the terrorist group in Chandigarh and surrounding areas. Even BKI itself posted a link on Internet claiming extortion calls and wrong messages are being speared by mischievous elements. The miscreants had downloaded the logo of the group from internet. It is even suspected that Hira had died a year ago."

    Recently, two businessmen in Sector 17 received ransom letters claiming to be from BKI. Singh said the writing in the letters and the posters was similar.

    Inspector Dilsher Singh Chandel of Sector 17 police station said an FIR was registered under various sections and Prevention of Defacement of Property West Bengal Act 1946.

    I am sorry if it sounds that I go around saying this to people. I don't ever say this but it's something that I think when Sikh people talk to me as if know nothing about the rest of the world.

    Acha jee, don't be sorry, its alright. And it is true, our folks can be like that on several instances. But don't let that put you down :)

    I am the most highly educated person you will meet on this planet - I attended the top school in the UK, and the top university in the UK, and have a top paying job.

    Please forgive me for saying this, but have you ever paused for a second and thought that perhaps its this kind of attitude which gets you all the negative reaction from the Sikh guys? May be its not your hair after all, but this "I am much better than any of you losers" attitude? I apologize, I don't know you well and am not aware of whatever interactions you've had with others, but the simple fact of life is that giving respect is the simplest way of getting it back. Respect is earned, not demanded. For the 3rd time, I am sorry if this sounds blunt, but if you're going to meet people with the kind of attitude which unfortunately sounds pretty arrogant, I am not sure how much you could blame them for being the way they react.

    Sorry of this offends you, but please do think about it, and correct me wherever you may find me wrong.

    The heads and limbs of the dead were scattered in the field like the balls and sticks in the game of Polo.38.

    पोस्टर में जत्थेदार पलविंदर सिंह हीरा के नाम की तरफ से पंजाबवासियों के लिए हुकुमनामा जारी किया गया है। हुकुमनामे में 'पंजाब में सिख राज शुरू होने की बात कहते हुए' दो कानून मानने की बात कही गई है।
    In the first poster a message from Jathedar Palvinder Singh Heera for Punjab residents mentioned the beginning of Sikh raaj in Punjab and to abide by 2 laws.

    पहले कानून में दहेजलोभियों को मारने की बात कही है तथा दूसरे कानून में रेप के दोषियों को जिंदा जलाने की बात कही गई है। पोस्टर लगने की बात फैलते ही पंजाब पुलिस मौके पर पहुंच गई थी और पोस्टरों को हटाने का काम शुरू कर दिया था।
    The first law mentions eliminating those who are greedy for dowry and the second one calls for burning alive rapists. The Punjab Police reached on the spot once the posters were spotted and started removing them.

    21 सितंबर 2014 को सिख राज शुरू हो गया है। सिख राज के दो कानून लागू करने के लिए हुकुमनामा जारी हुआ है। इनमें पहला कानून है कि दहेज मांगने वालों को सजा-ए-मौत, बारात 101 से ज्यादा नहीं, सिख राज्य में औरत पर कोई अत्याचार बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा।
    On September 21st, 2014 Sikh raaj has started. A Hukamnama has been issued to implement 2 laws of the Sikh raaj. According to the first one, anyone who demands dowry is to given death penalty. A marriage procession cannot have more than 101 members, in Sikh raaj no attrocity on women will be tolerated.

    जिसमें हिम्मत हो, वह इन कानूनों के खिलाफ जाकर दिखाए। ज्यादा बारात और दहेज मांगने के दोषियों को परिवार सहित मार दिया जाएगा। दो-चार ऐसे केस सामने आते ही सब सुधर जाएंगे।
    We dare anyone to break these laws. Those who bring huge marriage processions or demand huge sums of money as dowry will be eliminated along with their families. Once a few such cases come to light, everyone will wake up.

    कानून नंबर दोः रेप करने वालों को जिंदा जला दिया जाएगा। उन्हें कोई माफी नहीं मिलेगी। इस कानून के खिलाफ जाकर जो आदमी इसे नजरअंदाज करेगा, उसके सारे परिवार को मार दिया जाएगा। ये कानून पंजाब में लागू हो गया है।
    Second law: Rapists will be burnt alive, they will not be forgiven. Anyone who goes against this law or disobeys it will be eliminated along with his family. This law is now implemented in Punjab.

    पंजाब गुरुओं की धरती है। हम इसे गंदा करने नहीं देंगे। इस हुकुमनामे को मजाक समझने की गलती मत करना, हम पंजाब में आ चुके हैं।
    Punjab is the land of the Gurus, we won't tolerate anyone making it dirty. Don't make the mistake of considering this Hukamnama a joke, we have arrived in Punjab.

    Many millions are the fields of creation and the galaxies.

    ਕਈ ਕੋਟਿ ਅਕਾਸ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ॥

    Many millions are the etheric skies and the solar systems.

    ਕਈ ਕੋਟਿ ਹੋਏ ਅਵਤਾਰ ॥

    Many millions are the divine incarnations.

    ਕਈ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਕੀਨੋ ਬਿਸਥਾਰ ॥

    In so many ways, He has unfolded Himself.

    So many times, He has expanded His expansion.

    From God they emanate, and into God they merge once again.

    ਤਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਕੋਇ ॥

    His limits are not known to anyone.

    ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਇ ॥੭॥

    Of Himself, and by Himself, O Nanak, God exists. ||7||

    ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਦੁਇ ਕੰਨੀ ਮੁੰਦਾ ਪਰਮਿਤਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਖਿੰਥਾ ॥

    Let contemplation and intuitive meditation be your two ear-rings, and true wisdom your patched overcoat.

    O my King, I am a Yogi, a hermit, a renunciate.

    ਮਰਤ ਨ ਸੋਗ ਬਿਓਗੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

    I do not die or suffer pain or separation. ||1||Pause||

    ਖੰਡ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਮਹਿ ਸਿੰਙੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਬਟੂਆ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਭਸਮਾਧਾਰੀ ॥

    The solar systems and galaxies are my horn; the whole world is the bag to carry my ashes.

    ਤਾੜੀ ਲਾਗੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਲੁ ਪਲਟੀਐ ਛੂਟੈ ਹੋਇ ਪਸਾਰੀ ॥੨॥

    Eliminating the three qualities and finding release from this world is my deep meditation. ||2||

    ਮਨੁ ਪਵਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਤੂੰਬਾ ਕਰੀ ਹੈ ਜੁਗ ਜੁਗ ਸਾਰਦ ਸਾਜੀ ॥

    My mind and breath are the two gourds of my fiddle, and the Lord of all the ages is its frame.

    ਥਿਰੁ ਭਈ ਤੰਤੀ ਤੂਟਸਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਨਹਦ ਕਿੰਗੁਰੀ ਬਾਜੀ ॥੩॥

    The string has become steady, and it does not break; this guitar vibrates with the unstruck melody. ||3||

    ਸੁਨਿ ਮਨ ਮਗਨ ਭਏ ਹੈ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਡੋਲ ਨ ਲਾਗੀ ॥

    Hearing it, the mind is enraptured and becomes perfect; it does not waver, and it is not affected by Maya.

    ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਪੁਨਰਪਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਨਹੀ ਖੇਲਿ ਗਇਓ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥੪॥੨॥੫੩॥

    Says Kabeer, the bairaagee, the renunciate, who has played such a game, is not reincarnated again into the world of form and substance. ||4||2||53||

  11. For want of concrete evidence, a Delhi court on Wednesday acquitted four people, including three retired policemen, of murdering three men during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots here.

    Acquitting the then station house officer (SHO) of Nangloi, Ram Pal Singh Rana, then assistant sub-inspector Dalel Singh, then head constable Karam Singh, and a man named Satpal Gupta, additional sessions judge Kamini Lau observed: The material and evidence on the record does not bridge the gap between truth and reasonable doubt.

    The court also noted that the case was based on circumstantial evidence and the investigation had not been conducted professionally in the manner it ought to have been.

    It further said even the witnesses who should have been the eyes and ears of the court had failed to support the prosecution case. They had retracted from their earlier statements, it observed, adding that there was little that the state or the courts could do; and to shift the entire blame on the prosecution and the investigating agency would be highly unfair when the prosecution witnesses, the alleged victims on whose assertions the case has been registered, are themselves inconsistent and do not support their earlier versions.

    Noting with regret that there was little it could do in the absence of more proof, the court said it could not cull out a favorable judgment for the victims on the basis that this was a special case. Whether, it is an ordinary crime or a crime emanating due to communal frenzy, law does not make any distinction either in leading of evidence or in its assessment and the rule is one and only one namely, if depositions are honest and true and the witness so examined credible then a conviction can be even based on the sole testimony of such a witness, the court said.

    The three former police officers and Gupta were facing trial for the alleged murder of Sikh men Swaroop Singh, Amrik Singh and Trilochan Singh on the morning of November 2, 1984, at Nangloi in West Delhi. The case was registered on the recommendation of Justice Ranganath Mishra Commission, based on affidavits and statement that Gurbachan Singh, son of victim Swaroop Singh, had submitted in 1991.

    Prem Chand Jain and Ram Niwas Tunda were other accused; but proceedings against them were dropped when they died during the trial.
