Terri Schiavo'yes i'm asking this question because of the case and also i have an aunt who basically is at a vegetable state.

Wahegurooo ji ka khalsa wahegurooo ji ki fateh Sadhsangat ji, lets say if you were born with an disability, or born disabled (mental retardation) or become a vegetable meaning you just in a wheel chair and drool and slobber can't talk or anything and are in pain...should you die if you wanted to...for example if i became sick very ill and became a vegetable i'd want to die, i'd want the doctor to kill me now is this interferring with God's will? and I know it's not up to a doctor if my life should be ended but i want to request it if i became that ill i would like to die, and not suffer and be in pain, and I think there's more to life then just being a vegetable.

Dear Sangit ji, I have a question you know how during raensabyees or smaagams they do asa da vaar and when they do there's these things Salok's, Mehala Pala etc well my question is what are they and why are they fast and short and also I've noticed guys the men yell Pauree sumething sumething ..my other question is can women do that? can't they yell out Salok mehala 1, Paure, I've noticed mostly it's guys who do it why not girls?

Sadhsangat ji I'm having a bit truble okay, well in my field i have to have the clean look meaning clean shaven look, I'm dealing with public and mostly gora people. Now my beard is pretty long and I have tucked it in and i right now volunteer at a daycare and the kids there are very messy and I've had things in my beard like paint, glue, food, and and have had numerous parents complain and are mad. Now my boss said he's losing business and i have to do sumthing....my parent's have advised me to cut my hair and then regrow it back once i get my own daycare...but growing back your hair will take ages and sumtimes doesn't grow back, and I don't want an typical regular punjabi culture life any suggestions :T:

My question is what is amrit for, what's the point in taking amrit...and does it have the power to change you, I've met many people who have changed because of taking armit changed as in well they use to smoke, party, drink, etc, and have said that oh amrit has helped me...but that's not what Armit was for...taking amrit was for making of the Khalsa...rite? yeah but does amrit have power?

Okay Sadhsangatji I'm a bit confused as usual, I'm confused because well I was wondering after some girl asked me "I heard sikhs believe in being equal" I said yes we do, and she said if that's so then how come your different from us? How come you have to be have a turban, and beard, and a kirpan, and a kara...and I said well it's apart of our uniform and and apart of my religion, and she still asked but your being different, and then asked why is that you need a turban or a kara in order for you to be identitified? how is that being equal? and I was confused and didn't know what to say...what are your thoughts on this? Shouldn't we be like everyone else in order to be equal,

When doing naam simran I usually do it with my hair all open I do this because it helps me cocentrate a lot better, but I was told that this was wrong now why is this? and also why should we do naam simran with our head's covered and wrapped around in a turban, I cannot concentrate...but why is that we have to have our heads covered while doing naam simran?

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I personally like it flowing, my beard out and flowing but tucked in I do not like it, i Hope it's not against gurmat for keeping it tucked in. I've been facing a lot of problems with my beard at my workplace that I might even hae to remove my turban which I highly doubt will do that~thats a no way in my book~and the field that I'm going into has sooo many goras and most of them are kids and cannot understand and get scared when you have your beard flowing and they pull on it and stuff, grr. BUt I just hope it's not against gurmat for tucking in your beard...but I agree it looks better out flowing.

I'm having bit of a problem with my beard, now I go to meetings and in my field I will be taking care of preschool kids which are gora, most of them are gora kids. And preschool kid tend to get messy and touch your face a lot and one time one kid got paint stuck in my beard and I didn't know about it and when her mother came to pick her up she was disgusted and upset with me. Now my question is do we have to have our beard flowing out? To Me it doesn't look presentable so I now tuck it in. But I have to use globs and globs of Gel which is gross and becomes crusty and hard and goeey and sticky ewww, I use to trim it but then stopped, I'm really worried and I need this job and I've been told that I must look clean what is that I can do with my beard?

But now after reading and how some veerji's and panji's had said that Sikhi is the only way you can get into Sachkhand which is like heaven but more better. Like Singh132 said, those religions can help you reach the epitome of their faith like heaven or paradise, but those are lower than Sach Khand. one thing I don't get is If we Believe in one GOD then why are differnt places to reach~Meaning why is there a heaven, paradise, sachkhand, we believe in one god we should have one place where everyone can merge with god I've always been told the God is light and we merge within the light, and now am confused :wub: If I said anything bad I'm sorry and i mean that from the bottom of my heart, remember I don't know anything

I don't understand, I mean you see many people converting into sikhi and sikhs converting to other religions, I mean some people can't feel pyaar for Sikhi, One time I met this white Sikh she use to be christian and she said that I just didn't feel love, when i got into sikhi I felt love, I felt guruji's pyaar, I have a friend who use to be a sikh and now is a christian, He believed that we should have choice to pick our religions, you know to pick a path you want to be on... Is it the person's fault that they can't find the ultimate love for there guruji? I'm struggling, I'm trying to find the pyaar for Guruji but I can't, i've tried but I just don't feel it, is this my fault? We should have the choice to pick our path,

Now Many paths, many religions and in there holy books will say the same thing about there religion...saying that there path is the only way to meet God, just like the Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji has stated rite here, I don't really see the difference but yet it does make sense..hmm I dunno though thats just my thought...but my next question is well what about not having religion and just being spirtual? Like the bhagats they didn't have religion but lived a spiritual life....any thoughts Sangatji :T:

My question is, well ok I have a large family...well what punjabi family doesn't, anyways I come from a large family, and my uncles are all sadaars but not amritdari and drink, party, etc same with my aunties, and my cousins also party, date, drink, etc. Yes at times it can be dirty the enviroment, but there loving and caring and I love each and every one of them, because there my family but my question is if there not amritdari and have turban or haircuts can I hang out with them...cause I was told that your not allowed to once you take amrit and stuff..

Sadhsangat I have another Silly question My question is Bhagat Sain, Bhagat Kabir, etc and other Bhagats, were not sikhs or had no religion and are mntioned in the Siri guru granth Sahib ji and even wrote in the Siri guru granth sahib ji, but they weren't sikhs! and so my question is how are they considered holy people or saints with no religion and didn't follow sikhi :wub: :T:

Has everything, It's just I was forced on this path and now has made me unhappy and bitter, yes I like Sikhi but do I love it NO, and I have a problem trimming my beard, which is a NO NO in sikhi, and you can't call yourself a Sikh or become a sikh if you Do that, I was always told that Guruji loves you only if you keep your hair and if you cut it Guruji will hate you, so my whole life 19 years I kept my hair and became bitter, and thought man Guruji's a tyrant, and I guess a want a switch in my life, something new. I know it sounds ridicilous, mah parents forced me on this path, and I take it for granted, and I abuse it and abuse guruji and his beautiful sangat. I just want to be with God, and be a good person

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I Don't mean to make any excuses, I just feel as if I'm letting down guruji and sangat. I' just don't feel the vibe in Sikhi. I use to, but now I don't. I'm not looking for an easy way out, I'm looking for what's compatible for me, what I want, What I love. And I don't have that much pyaar for Sikhi, I was forced onto this path and I just can't like it :| I just feel as if I'm letting sikhi down because of the things I do. Like trimming, I trim a lot of my hair, how can you be a sikh if you do that? I just don't want to let guruji down or my fellow sangat down. I just want a path where I feel pyaar, and where I don't make praying a chore.

I don't really know :T: I just don't picture myself a sikh, I trim my beard and think bad thoughts, rarely do paath, etc. I can't live a sikh life, I duno, I mean just becasue your born into a Sikh Family, doesn't mean your automatically a Sikh.
