  3. Stop Asking questions , questions will arose more qestions nothing else . The answer is hindus and muslims dont like us . They hate our turbans our beards . Hindus will never accept our view, they even dont recognise our relegion . They hate our turbans so start wearing bigger turbans. BrAke hindus society rules like all the superticious in whch they beleive like karva chauth etc. WE SIKHS ARE THE SECOND MOST HATED COMMUNITY IN INDIA . Its so difficult for sikhs to get rented house in places like delhi , u know why ? they hate our sikhi swaroopp .

    *sniff*

  4. lol, your paranoid. Their might be a few insults but not physical violence. I guess a kirpan could be worn, but since you haven't taken amrit it's only just a knife. If you strongly feel your in danger then use it as a last resort. For self defense of course...

  5. Well, a well known relative came over yesterday and we all having a good time. Well I have a calander of Sant Bhindranwale Ji and all the Shaheeds of '84 and he happened to notice it. He asked me whether I was Khalistani and we got into a conversation. BTW, he even admitted that he hasn't researched it or anything but he couldn't help but ask - If Bhindranwale was such a Sant and soldier why didn't he come out instead of allowing the Akal Takht to fall, like how Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave Kurbani. Of course I gave some reasons but not very believable ones. My dad sort of defended it and gave some reasons but not very believable ones. This man is coming over today and I want to convince him that Bhindranwale was truly great. Got anything?

  6. wjkk wjkf!

I could be wrong but originally the fast was not carried out by Sikhs because it was considered an empty ritual. Fasting was done in respect of the "Gods" or God.

Muslims from what they have told me, fast so they understand the suffering of others. During this period they are suppose to take all that they dont consume and give it to the needy. However, what doesnt make sense to me is that they end up eating the same amount (or it seems like that atleast) just at different times of the day.

As, a Sikh our response to this would be that it is our duty to live every breath like this, not to over consume and understand the plight of the less fortunate while working for the promotion of social justice. They have ramadan, and a month of charitable work by providing food to the less needy etc. We have the eternal concept of Langar Seva.

Thanks for clearing this up for me!
