  1. Let me put it this way:

Night in India, is day in North America and vice a versa.

Since your working nights, its completely fine with what you are doing. Its great you're doing Panj banis a day. Maharaj has done kirpa on you.

I hardly do 1 everyday, May the Lord bless me to do more.

    VJKK VJKF.

  2. I listen to it from my phone, my pc, my car, whenever Im around any three, I learned it from my phone when I go to sleep, just play it and close my eyes.

It does help, however reading from a gutka your mind doesnt drift that much.

  3. ^^LOL..breakdancing is ol'skool, try Swaggin' like T.I; its the new thangg :p (extremists- its just a joke)

What I am saying is going to shock you...I have seen many individuals attain spiritual...even when they are watching TV radio news, go to parties.....they still seen the true Guru, which really knocks your theory doesnit it? I can prove this to you by introducing you to these people....you make Sikhi sound like an extremist religion which it isnt...there isnt anything wrong with anything as long as you dont attach your thinking to negative thoughts, if you read bani nothing can bring negativity...teh way you put it is like locking urself away...fair do do it then.

Oh by the way Internet is manmat too, fancy seeing you here!

    ^^True dat.

Actually we are all just dancing in this world.

Some towards Him, some farther from his true self. As the Great Lord wishes.

  5. Yes, its some form of magic in their voices.....maybe something similar to the sound current of the naad, bliss...

Some shabads along with the singers just pierce through your heart and mind, and you feel the hunger for the love of maharaj that you just cant wait....you just want all this wait to be over and be with param-aatma, at his feet, absorbed within his light.

If only it was that simple, :(

Vaheguru blesses his lovers with peace, please bless me vaheguru, calm my filthy mind, bless me so I remain absorbed in your naam day and night.

  6. 1. This is kalyug.

    2. Balance is maintained by karams, you will get/receive something as per them and as per Vaheguru's grace.

...Try not to worry too much, try not to think about how others are up to kaami stuff. Why do you worry?

The Lord is there to see every one to justice, :) , then why worry brother.

Another thing, something that you want so bad right now could very well be the only thing you could/would wish never happened to you. It can turn out to be very bad.....Without his name, kuch ni hega...sabb chooth...I cant explain it....Pray...

Instead of thinking about things not being right, just get lost in Japping Naam ...day and night, find your true love. Find the lord.

Rest assured, he will take care of everything you need in this world.

  7. Trust you me, no one REALLY (your real linux world) wants to know how linux is :6 ..actually no one really knows why its just not one or two simple distros, instead of every group trying to come up with something better..lmao..which is what they tried with ubuntu, but then there were kubuntu, xubuntu, edbuntu or who knows what ( leaving aside the tons of other distros that ppl never heard off)..... but naa its still too much of a hassle for most of the public which chose to stuck to windows.

As per your knowledge Im sure the guy who wrote knows a tad bit more than you would. Just guessing since he took the effort to write so many guides and share it with ppl. And the only place where you ..lol..portray your knowledge is on these posts.. :p

Anyways get in touch wid him, who knows you might learn something you didnt know. :D

Its funny how you have to explain that when you write: 'want to know everything about linux' and then saying 'It should answer most of your questions' on a regular sikhism site where very very few ppl know about linux,....that it actually means they should get some idea of what linux is and porting from windows is not that easy......by starting off with the basics, instead of just downloading and installing ubuntu and then going .. 'my screen is so small, and why aint my mp3 files playing?'..then they are shown guides that help them better understand what linux is--atleast some of it, since the normal unaware user just contemplate's on it being a windows like OS, since they never used anything as user friendly as windows.

And in NO way it means here 'this is the secret guide thread to master linux,', and I m pretty sure most of the ppl got it at the first read...except you satori ji..lmao :LOLz:

OOO..and one other thing...which user group do you THINKKK im targeting on this site...lmao.....some things are just too obvious, but some personalities miss that. I understand though. I understand.

  8. Hmm... those articles do not tell everything about Linux, nor does it cover the whole general aspect of it. But it's a guide nevertheless catered for some people, to get an understanding of Linux.

Hmm. satori bhenji or bhai ji

I dont see any one else who put up any sort of relevant article for noobies to linux/aka ppl who are new to it.

Besides grammar corrections, there's not much that's wrong with the guides, well the guy being from south india who wrote it still did a great job.

No one went one bit into explaining what to expect while doing the switch, its just not another x 86 OS like windows.

LOL...in case you missed it, thats what the articles are for.

baaki if you have some advanced pro linux guides that covers everything, besides the ones that are already listed on ubuntu forums....well, just save them for the elite ubuntu club...but i doubt u'll find many on here.

Do post some additional info for beginners if u have some which has not already been covered by the guide's, it might actually help clear questions that ppl have on here.

BTW, contact Darkstar and he'll be able to help enlighten any linux flaws that you think exist. Maybe some additional info can be updated on the guide...but I doubt it.

  9. I think some mature bhai or bahen should talk to this girl asap, try to understand and asess the whole situation, if possible sit down with her folks, as her friend ofcourse.

Shes 19 guys, dont give her pointers on how it can be done. First find out everything and try something else like sitting down with her family in gurudwara sahib or at her home.

  10. he's just making excuses. if he's 25 and never been around women before then his hormones are probably running his brain and he's looking for any excuse to mess around with a girl. the turban part is just an excuse.

Well..that is kinda true, but add to that the emotional attachment, he might think hes falling in love (thats the first girl he ever went out with right), or she might be doing draame etc..crying vagera...we cant just judge like we know the whole story.

Or she may even think she loves him.,..very very much, dreaming about their inter-religion true love..lol...until she or her parents find a better match etc. Tell him it can go downhill anytime especially when her parents find out, if shes like the conservative muslim family type, then BIG BADA BOOM.

But take it from me..they just wont listen...until something happens.

  11. when you take amrit the kaami things you have done in the past are 'washed' away and are forgiven and it doesnt matter now??? does it mean also that you dont need to tell your future partner bout the kaami things either?

lol....well, it seems like the short way to safety...dont it

I agree with Dhanna Jatt, meri manmukh di soch says it doesnt work that way.

A lot of pakhandis have shak amrit, they going to be forgiven?..Umm...I dont know...we cant say...who will be forgiven and who wont, The Lord decides that.

Naam simrin and..and doing Paath to understand the teachings of our Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

These things will help you in Self realization and Guru's Kirpa.

Speaking from my experiences and I think the mature sangat will agree with this:

Dont lie. Just dont, it all comes back in a bad way.

We can fool ourselves or others into something but not the Lord.

Paath, understanding Guru granth sahib ji's teachings, and Naam simrin from the heart. Nothing else.

  12. Want to know everything about linux?

Please take a look at the following threads of our Indian Overclocking community site.

It should answer most of your questions.

Things to know before using Linux

    CompIZ

    Mandriva-2008-1-spring-edition

All credits go to Darkstar, who created these helpful articles.

Now dont go all wow, linux can do that with compiz etc, well it can, but its not really as easy as you may think of it to be.

I tried ubuntu on vmware, was ok....not too exciting.

The worst part was, when I tried a native install (fresh install) of ubuntu, the geforce 8600 drivers gave me some issues, you see its just not as simple as double clicking and installing drivers..lol..its complicated...and it can get very complicated. In my case the drivers had to be recompiled...a lot of command line entries like MS dos...so I put it on hold.

But feel free to try it.

I use Tiny Vista rev 02 and Xp sp3...however I hardly use xp nowadays.

Vista ftw, personal preferance I guess.

  13. I currently dont have a paypal account, because I really wanted to donate for www.allaboutsikhs.com

    The search gurbani destop version.:(

Dont have a working credit card either. Because the C.cards date has expired and the new ones are lying in the mail in canada, I have no one who can go through a whole years worth of mail and look for them.

Anyways getting back to the topic, regarding the RECOVERY OF DATA from your server. I may be able to help with that. What's the state of the HDD's where the data was stored, do they power up, do you hear the spindle?

If it does, but you cant see anything on the HDD, like the whole HDD just shows RAW partitions, I could help you recover most of the data from those HDDs if not all of it.

I am talking about the ONTRACK easy recovery app. I can send it to you if you know how to work with it.

    Vaheguru.
