a true chamaar is a ravidaasia not sikh or hindu;) when the vasiaki mela comes around and the sikhs parade, our GURU RAVIDASS MAHARAJ JI GURUDARA is just down the road from a main sikh temple and we stand outside to show our unity and offer cold drinks and drapes for the G.G.S.J because we all believe the same holy book... i joined this site because i wanted to see a insight into sikh ppl thoughts.... belittleing isnt clever....if you are a sikh and hold your hand out to friendship from our ppl you will get it thousand times back but if you do show hatred thick mentality youll just get labelled as another one jaat hater.... just a question i hope somebody can shed some light on... if this guys christianity is so great why didnt the christains make the donkey a holy animal and worship that as the hindus did with the cow?

yes one was a chamaar and bacame sikh,one was a gora and became a sikh not what was the awnser to my question...what koum/jaut were the panch piarya before they gave there heads to form sikhism?

reading this brought a tears to my eyes i am in the same situation with my older brother only have one and his well gone past the achoholic stage i didnt even think of urdas in gurudwara, can one prayer be so strong? can one person cope without crying? i feel for you wish there was a easy way out yet you can lead a horse to water but can not make it drink....our complete punjabi community is lost when it comes to depression,alcholism,drug addiction these things were not taught in the G.G.S.J and we all have a responsibilty to teach them to our kids youngers..it may well be to late for the older ones who didnt get it drilled into their heads when they were younger..brother think about your wife or wife to be/kids/kids to be/think about your future and try to concentrate on yourself..alchohlics are very selfish they dont care about anybody but there drink..take care.

look its very simple i know some chamaars have converted to other faiths..some to sikhs..cristian or watever but at the end of the day u cant change wats u born as.when indian ppl 1st came to the U.K they were shunned when they went to pray at sikh gurudwaras..then they realised the predudice of the jaat ppl and the hate and all chipped in and got the GURU RAVIDASS MAHARAJ JI gurudwaras built..now the aim of these is so our people can go believe and listen to the granthsahib ji without discrimination...GURU RAVIDASS JI is a GURU for me because he gave me a place in society a name not resentment or hate but the fact i can say yes im a chamaar and im proud of that.i have alot of respect for the gurbani and i have a place..just look at the des pardes punjabi paper at the wedding section its all sikh khatri/rai/jaat there are even divisions in sikhs so nobody really escaped it! lols but the jaat ppl i found really full of hate....i have nothing against anybody of sikh faith but feel very bitter to all the jaats for the hating...although i have enjoyed loads of jatti g.fs lols :D if you can read the G.G.S.J you will see on everypage were there is GURU NANAK JI ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT PAGE THERE IS GURU RAVIDASS JI....MANJAO;) GO ASK A GIANI AND MAKE SWEAR HE WONT LIE.
