please singh sahiban ji its a general requests to all of you that stop putting bad comments and critising others in such a way that the way of getting closer to those closes for ever....... singhs are not made to criticise its not our job we rather put an eye on ourselves where are we going .............everybdy know Mrs. Gandhi or one can say Gandhis all over made lots of bad decisions and they paid for that too.........and not only gandhi whoever who made such mistakes shall not be spared ......... next one ll be Baba Ram Rahim for sure I am afraid that this nafrat kindaa words are making the same image as the muslims are having all over the world why should critisice others if someone does worng punish him according to his sins rather than putting such comments ..........well Namdharis got their own view i dont know why but certainly they are not right.... Even our gurus are not god they all are saints and is jesus and is muhammad ........no living creature can be a god and shall not be treated as a god ..........but that a respect and the honour we give to our gurus and their teaching to be a good, loyal , sincere, fearless human being...............

u made me curious too but i guess there was no such thing before dashmesh pita made a kara of the pure iron given by brahman lady. Gurujis certainly have made it compulsary coz it was and is a good self defense tool as well as gives a unique identity to a person .......well certainly few ppls say that bhoot prait(goosts) dont come near you if you are wearing a pure iron kara.........this sounds funny coz i think in this world where humans are not getting space to live where these gosts are gonna live..well thats a bad joke...... all these are superstitious things which a sikh must not follow. well if nybdy find nything wrong in above lines then pls let me know coz these are my personal thoughts :D

Well no one can answer better than me for this post... I belong to gursikh family from jammu n my grandparents are from poonch (near pak border, pok), as of now we are very well settled in New Delhi certainly in the war between hindus and muslims we sikhs are being ignored in the valley......there was a time when hindus are being kicked out of the valley and now the same is happening to sikhs one of my friend called me up few days back and said that kashmiri muslims are beating up sikh and hindu truck drivers in the velley and they are now gonna catch muslims drivers in lakhanpur punjab border to give them a lesson well hindus are certainly amongst the one who suffered a lot there but now its seems to be sikhs turns, well sikhs in valley i guess got more spritual thoughs than those are in punjabs as jutt communities and other communities are cutting their beards and busy nowadays celebrating with a bottle of beer and whishkeys on the other side sikhs communities in jammu are worried about how to overcome the crisis which is going out there and their families are suffering. I still remember when I was a kid my chacha ji got a bullet in his head and a chin when he was encountered as he was a active member of the khalishtani group....... that was a time when these muslims supports sikhs activists to trouble indian government in punjab and for there self motivated purposes they provide all golla barud(explosives and arms) smuggled from pak but at those days we were the one who suffered too and suffering even now.............we lost more than enough in early 80's and 90's well we cant take any more now........ Punjab government of Akalis is nothing else then a B.S

kara must be made of IRON not steel peyareyo and if ny bdy got a doubt why iron only why cant we wear kara of steel the only answer is that guruji himself wears kara of pure iron there is the story behind it http://www.sikhmatrimonials.com/sikhnet/di...33;OpenDocument if you can go for steel then gold and other expensive elemets are there too we can wear kara of those too as many of our singhs and singhnis are doing the same..... well certainly guruji himself dont believe in all these superstitious things but later this became a part of 5 k's coz it works as a self defense and a unique ornament for sikhs
