  1. wjkk wjkf, Sikhism practises equality. Equality to men and women, equality to any caste. Equality to any race, religion. Equality means equality. even to gays. Why not? Also, Sabh meh jot, jot hai soi... The light is contained in all. Did Guru Ji say, there is no jot in Gays? ek nazar.. We must see all in ek nazar... not separate people. It's quite simple. When we make reasonings and reasonings, we are just justifying ourselves. Everyone is the same. No question about that.We humans, separate relationships and such. wjkk wjkf.
  2. Bhanji, Kudos to you...You really know how difuse situations. Thank you thank you... haha i do try but it doesnt succeed too often . khalsa blood can b sooo hot that i get pushed 2 the side n trampled over and they carry on fighting cyber n real hahaaa . Once in a gurudwara a fight broke out between 2 committees ,the past nd the present ones ,and I unfortunately happened to be sitting right in the centre point between em two and omggg i nearly got killed as these 2 forces of grumpy old men started attacking each other over my head with their kirpans over the issue of which is a better committee. I had to wriggle out as quickly as possible to safety hahaaaaa . Now wen i go to gurudwara,i have to look around very very carefully with a hawk's eye to make sure im in a safe place hahaaaaa. I must remind u somehow of a bhenjee but im a bhaji hahaaaaaaa . i spent yesterday musing as to what made u think im a bhenjee hahaaa ,well i wish i was, as woman power rules today hahaaaa .Even the Dalai Lama said in an interview with Michael Palin, that he wanted to be reincarnated in his nxt life as a very beautiful woman as that will help him be very popular and attract many followers hahaaaaaa . Harjit nanua jee, Sukhdev Singh-dashmesh jetha got himself into biiig truble for sum silly stuff he was doing with healing nd sum holy water ,nd it was all over the net ,and its even sumwhere on this forum too . Has Jaswinder Kaur his wife sorted him out yet hahaaaa. and you still haven't told me which keertan jetha you are in and why no samelan gets telecast live on the net . There is sooo much beautiful parchar nd keertan in Malaysia with quality tabla players n keertanias like baldev kaur, harvinder singh , the titiwangsa gyanee ,khalsajee, and so so many others from the different SNSM, niketan ,etc etc etc but nothing ever seeps n leaks out onto the net except a lit dribble here n there I can never understand why .arrrgggh ,now thats frustrating. I think you should write 2 articles to inspire us all . 1 about your sikhi journey . The other about present state of sikhi/sikhs in malaysia . Oh Yess....! I always get conused with names.. now it makes sense. Sukhdev Singh Ji is always a great man. Regardless of what people say about him, but the core of what he says is sensible. Anyway, what bad thing can we say about him? God really loves him. So, are we to say anything about him, right? And when the nur of God is in everyone, what are we to think... I agree...there are so many beautiful kirtan here.. In PJ gurdwara, everyweek there will be a jatha from india- the last few months was Davinder singh sodhi... we should let snsm know about the net... hehe.... we should statrt...

  4. wjkk wjkf, Firstly, Bhenji Humkiren, I know these guys you are talking about and all are excellent men. And the best thing is, alkl have great qualities. Its like a huge reservoir of goodness or like a supermarket, where i get virtues out of each and everyone. No one has any defects. Speaking about resovoir, this is one. From this post. I learne a lot. And below is a summry. All are right about ego. Listening to guru ji is a must. MUST. That is a gurmukh (Guru's Mukh= listening everything that comes out from the mouth of the guru.). Everything. And if we listen to our mind, then it is ego. I mean, we sell our mind to the guru. As Bhagat Ravidas has said," Bahut janam bichuray the madhoo., eh janam tumharey likhey". I dedicate this life to you. Next, forgiveness. Generally, i believe in pure forgiveness. The thing about guru har rai's son was that he never asked for any forgiveness. Neither did prithi chand. All were consumed by their ego. Actually, as gurbanee says, Hum nahee changee, bura nahee koi. Which means I cant call anyone bad, even them. Also, sabh meh jot, jot hai soi (everyone contains Him). So, how can i call one bad. Also, in asa-di-war= Manda kisey na akihei. If i cant call anyone bad, i cant call Prithi Chand bad also right. And this led me to the conclusion, that they are not bad, they are deluded by ego. But, if the ego goes off, and one repents, the isnt he a sikh anymore.? So, forgiveness, even after sins and sins. I mean the biggest sin is to talk bad about Guru NAnak's darbar (like bhai balwand and satta) or saying, You are no more my Guru and We are no more your sikhs (like the 40 saved ones). But still, Guruji forgave them, because they repented. Third, amritvella is important. Very important. Just like any other time. Why is it better? Because, medically, that is tje time when our brain waves are least active. We concentrate best at that time. Timing for banee i still dont find a connection. There used to be this person who used to listen to asa di war at night, just because he loved the wordings. One person says asa-di-war is only meant for the morning. And the answer back was," Is banee limited to certain time?". this is my 2 cents worth. wjkk wjkf
  5. Which SIkhi are you referring to. Sikhi does have rules anybody who commits adultery has committed a Bujjar Kureheit and in some cases such people are excomminicated from the Sikh religion. Controling your lust is a rule. Keeping Kes is a rule. Every Guru GIVES rules and every good students follows these rules. Guru Gobind SIngh Ji says "REhat Pyaarey Mujh Ko Sikh Pyaarey Nahi" I love the SIkh who lives a discipled life not the Sikh who just calls himself a Sikh without the disciplie ( rules of SIkhi). A person does not follow GUru Jis rules out of ego they do so out of love. One can never live a Sikh way of life without loving this disciplined way of life. WHen Guru Nanak asked Bhai Lehna Ji go and eat that dead human being. Baba Ji lovingly said which side do you want me to start on. It was this love for Guru Jis commands that Baba Ji won GUru Jis apporoval. SImilarly it is those SIkhs who live a disciplined way of life who win GUru Jis approval. You are right love is needed but one needs discipline. The two cannot exist without one another especially in a Guru- SIkh ( student) relationship. The realationship will not last long. I dont think we have such rules. Firstly, people being excomminicated from community? I dont think so... Sikhism is a religion of forgiveness. Remember Satta and Balwand? Controlling lust is ESSENtial. A must. again and again it is mentioned in Guru Granth Sahib. Every guru says, remove the 5 sins and take the 5 virtues. Then comes the rehat. Sikh rehat is following guruji rules. Yes, the story of Bhai Lehna. Why did he do it? Is it because firstly, the ego is gone. when ego goes, anything master says we do. right? You cant do anything with ego. So, rule: remove ego. It's not like Guru Nanak said "if you dont listen to me to eat the body, you are not my sikh". Also, everything we should see in Guru Granth Sahib. Some stories are distorted over time and we cant just follow them. Like the story of Guru Gobind singh saying I can forgive anything but not someone who sleeps with a moslem woman. when all gurus preached equality, why should one sin be bigger than another??? Actually dicipline comes after ego goes out. Again and again, Guru ji says remove ego, and everything falls into place. wjkk wjkf
  6. We are puppets of the puppetier and He is the master, so all credits goes to Him. But please dont stone me... Anyway, i am from Malaysia....
  7. I agree with Humkire Ji. Sikhism never had stern laws, like other religions. See, instead of saying do not have aldultary, otherwise you will be stone, Guruji says, control your lust. By controlling your lust, a lot of other problem gets cured. Simple, but that is the hardest part. It's easy for a human to not have adultery but at the same time watches pornography 24x7. But first, Guru said, do not have ego. Once we dont have ego, we love all the same. Guru Gobind Singh Ji said-"jin prem kio, thin hi prabh paio". Whar we have been doing is saying that some sikhs do not have turbans and such. TWo things happen here. First, we shunn them away. second, this is all ego. The feeling that i have a turban, and he does not. well, we should love all. everyone. Whether he drinks, smokes and such. we are never to judge. I mean, God gave salvation to Ganika, a prostitute. Guru Nanak made Sajjan the Thug into a saint. This is all His works. The reason being, is that we are quick to judge people. even a stone like me. This is the reason Guru Nanak rejected the practise of Yogi (in his banee Siddhi Gosh). Because the Yogi, leave everything but have a high ego that they are God's favourite. Isnt that the same? One gets up at amritvella, amrithari and can have a high ego, because he is better than other. This should not be the case right? everyone should be the same, even the greatest sinner. If God does not hate them, or dislike them, why should we? (Nirvair). my ten cents worth. wjkk wjkf
  8. You are totally right...! Many believe only granthis have the knowledge... But the truth is this is not the case. Guru granth sahib is so simple punjabi as compared to sanskrit which the pndits used to use. Like, Fareed said - Bura da bhala karo--- so simple...! wjkk wjkf
  9. hehe, in Gurbani it says if i was a little stone , it would appear tiny and humble ,but be an impediment to those walking on a path (stone under yur feet ouccchhh) ,if i was to be water i would be all soft and flexi but if i got too hot i would cause a burn .the shabad concludes by saying ''harjan esah chahieh ,jaisa har hi hoe'' i.e desire not to be a stone or anything but desire to be like God Himself . To be like God , you defo need to do loads loads loads ardas constantly knocking at God's door to somehow kick you out of your bed to be up in the night hours chanting away waheguru ,nitnem ,keertan etc etc . Yes you do attain a certain level of spirituality by doing all that during the day ,but during the day you are surrounded by people ,gotta eat ,work ,study ,etc etc .During the night hours is wen all the wordly stuff is off your back , and you can focus on a romantic time wiv God n Guru one to one. It gives you loads power to be a lion during the day as you go about doing stuff . You can work out the rest of the logic yourself veerjee . O God im so proud and happy that you desire to be so close to Gurujee . I can almost picture you getting up in the middle of the night ,having a nice little shower , then interacting and communicating with Gurujee thru all ur prayers in the dewy dark night, making you wet wet wet n soaked with God's love and power. aweeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssoooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! wjkk wjkf, NOW, This makes a lot of sense. Waking up early gives you time with God.. Meaning that your mind is fresh and the dirt of th world has not stick on to you yet.. from a mental point of view, this all makes sense. Thank you thank you thank you. -It's true what people say- God gives knowlegde to selected people and it is you that help sinners like me. Thank you. GOd is knowledge and God exist in everyone. So your answer is No. Knowledge is not given to a selected few it is given in everyone. But Only rare devotees go through great efforts to search for this Knowledge of God. Furthermore Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji which contains all knowledge is for everyobdy to learn from not a selcted clerical class. Unfortunately , many Sikhs believe knowledge is given to a selected few ( clerical priesthood) and they decide to listen to them instead of making their efforts to acquire knowledge themselves. Actually yes, God is in everyone. And no, it's not necessary the clerical class has the knowledge. But here, the knowledge is not something we read in books... Its realization... Let me give an example;. say a person, who has long hair, and big beard and prays.. But then, he is always angry and proud that he is a granthi and thinks that people who has no hair can never be close to God. Is there knowledge? Realization? Realization that 1. outer apprerance is of no use (khoor kapra, khoor ....) 2. ego filled is of no use and 3. Everyone is loved by GOd, no matter you are the biggest thug of sinner (God loves everyone the same, whether you are a saint or you are a murderer). this is just for the example. This is realization. anyway, one of the biggest thing we need to realise is the love for all should be the same - whether you are a moslem, hindu or sikh. God loves everyone the same. And if God is in everyone, we should also love all the same, right? with this, prejudice and ego should vanish. Remember, all the same- sinners, saints, murderers, thugs, priests, Mughals... all are the same. wjkk wjkf

  11. wjkk wjkf, I am a sinner who has been lucky to have a small place in Guru Nanak's darbar. I am trying to understand more on this issue. When one tells one thing, me, as a stone rolls to that direction. After all, i am a stone. Singhs are warriors, but me, i am far for that as I cant even kill the 5 sins in me. I am a sinner, which like a stone is drowning. Neither do i have my own thinking nor can i do anything. The direction this stone goes depends on my master. And sometimes, this stones asks question from my master's people, who are far more learned than me and might offend them with the stupid questions. I do apologise. Please do ignore this small stone. wjkk wjkf
  12. wjkk wjkf, Back to the main question. Amritvella is really important meaning the time. what if a Sikh, who prays from the time he gets up and till he sleeps but does not get up at 12 - 6 o clock? Does he attain salvation? And he is humble and nice and all... saintly qualities, but does not get up at that time.
  13. wjkk wjkf, The amrit is not an amrit to be drank. It is when bane is contemplated on, meditation. That is the real amrit.Amrit, according to Wikipedia, is a Sanskrit word, meaning something that is immortal and hence, Guru’s shabad is immortal-amrit. Amrit in ath pahar, means amrit 24 hours a day (1 pahar = 3 hours). True what you have said – gurusikhs do not need amritvella because they have reached a certain stage. We are to do jaap. And then when the day break, we do gurbane. What is one just sits and thinks about God. Without chanting or simran. What if the person just thinks of the greatness of Allah? Love does not come with rules – that’s what my Guru said. My Guru said, first, we must clean the inside of our Ghar (our mind) and the outside does not matter. Like say, if one does not bathe before praying but the love for God is real, then what? Simran, gurbane, accoding to my Guru should be all the time. Yes it should be started off early in the day, but does not mean that one part of the day is better. This is very ritualistic. Very Brahmin. Guru Arjan said ‘ All times and season are the same.” Look at barah maha. Guru Arjan never made one month better than another. same goes with time. After all, God is beyond time. wjkk wjkf
  14. Hello all, wjkk wjkf, A quick question, as i have been very confused about this. Please do help me. What is amrit wela? Please do help. warm Regards
  15. wjkk wjkf, There are many shabads for this, but, one must understand, everything that happens is Gods Hukam. One story which i can remember is about Guru Arjan Dev ji. When Guru ji was placed on the hot plater (tava), and a pir came to Him and said "My king, please give me the permission to destroy this evil tyrants from Lahore to Delhi" . This pir has magical powers. Guru Ji said ," no, this is His hukam". Guru ji went on to say Tera bhana mita lagai, naam pardarath mita lagai -what ever you do is so sweet to me, i only wish for the Naam. So, a true sikh will accept. Anyway, there are ways to ask. One of the best is to wake up during amrit vela and pray, then ask. There is a shabad in SGGS. Babiha, amrit vela boliya. Tha dar suni pukar Megh nu furmann hoya, varso kirpa taar. - The bird (babiha bird) crys out during amrit vela. During this time, his cries are heard in the court of God The clouds are summonds and asked to provide rain. This is what my Guru says the power of asking during amrit vela. But, start making efforts. Other shabads: -jo mangeh thakur apeney deh, soi soi deveh.. Theree are so many more..search for the word " troubles" or "anxious" and there are so mnay in SGGS> i hoipe this helps wjkk wjkf
  16. Sitargirl, The whole world goes around in circles, chasing after mayaa. Gurbanee says, why chase something when you are not taking it into the next world? What is for sure (death), people think it is so long more. Donald trump, Bill gates, all are rich. Kings of the world. But the peace they obtain (which a saint gets) is none. Let me tell you a story: Here in Malaysia, there are many politicians, and money is high on agenda. There is few i know are so engulfed in money that it is so hard to leave. Being moslems, they think by going to mecca at the age if 50 or 60 or 80 removes all their sins. So, there is this one. When he wss on his death bed, be was shiverring. (The story told by my mother who is a nurse at that time). He refused to die. what the shaman (magic man or bomoh is called in malaysia) did was to take all his money in his safe, stuff it into his pillow and handed to him. He smiled, but as he was about to die, he stated shaking violently. Like how when someone is sleeping and you move his shoulders on top of him. Older saints said this is death pullling him away. And the money remained here. So, moral of story, even in death, one can is humiliated. People chase after money, looks and all, but the ego does not depart. And through ego, we have greed, lust, etc. anyway, feel free to ask. We will help in all your queries. Regards. wjkk wjkf.
  17. I agree with Valli Singh. This is the life where we can meet God and be one with Him. After alot of wanderings, we finally have a chance to attain salvation. Even devtays need to attain human for to attain salvation. Anyway, a quote from Bhagat Ravidas Bahut janam bicuray tey madhoo, ih janam tumharey likhey. Kaho ravidass as lag jivoh, chir beheyoh, dashan dekhey. -I have been seprated so long from you, My Lord, This life is dedicated to You- and one more from sukhmani Firat firat prabh aiya, bareya tau sarnai, nanak key prabh benti, apni bhagati layeh. -I have been wandering countess lives, now, I have a chance to see You, OO Lord- I believe, we have the HIGHEST luck to be born a sikh and follow it. Firstly, we have a Guru to guide us. The guru spells out in a very simple way how to be one with God. And the words of the Guru is from God itself! Second, our guru says no need to go through fasting, rituals to attain salvation. So, I fo not need to pack up and go to the jungle. Coming to think about it, every other religions have flaws, grave flaws. Kabeer have said, Ilam says God is in Mecca. But Kabeer says, He is all prevading. Also, in SGGS, it is said, the Moslems keep 1 month to be holy (Ramzan),..What about another 11 onths?? And American-european people have a goo life? Trust me, I spoke to many and many cant find the inner peace (great example was the beatles, where they have to go to a Guru in india). Sagal srist ko raja dukhia, har ka naam japat hoye sukhia. One can have all the money, but without Naam, no inner peace is found. The beggars in India... It' suprising, but they are very drench in Maya. Poverty. I feel sorry for them. But Maya have enticed them. A real bramgiani is the one who do not have any money, but doesnt beg, but still remains happy. I know one sant who used to live in Malaysia (sant sohan Singh ji), whise worldly possesion is his clothes, a bed, a clock a radio and a book. He lived in the gurdwara. That is a role model. And trust me, if we measure, i think he is poorer than the beggars in bombay. So, the karma is not whether you are a beggar or not, but whether you can attain god in this lifetime. To remain dead while alive, that is true karma. ps- Valli Singh, thanks for correcting my Gurbanee. thank you so much. Warm Regards.
  18. Again this is for sucham. A bibi must not do any seva while on her period because any accident can happen at ANY time. i dont want to go into detail but satkaar and sucham for Guru Granth Sahib Jee must be kept at ALL times. Somebody else will have to do seva of Guru Sahib, full stop. alot of ppl will disagree, but there ya go. Accidents can happen anytime...Ummm...How? :umm: How can God hate it's own creation? Women don't WANT to have periods. They have them because it's God's law of nature. By having periods, women don't become IMPURE. They have every right to be sitting in front of Maharaj Ji. God doesn't hate you when you are in pain or going through a natural time. He's the one who has created it. As Maharaj Ji clearly stated, ONLY those are pure within whose minds the Lord abides. Women with periods are not IMPURE, though people with dirty thoughts are. By calling women IMPURE you are just insulting Waheguru because he is their mother. Women came from him. They are his creation. And accidents don't happen. There is protection. God has taken care of that too. I wonder who makes all these SILLY rules. Sigh... The only time Maharaj Ji may stop a woman from doing seva during this period of time is if she has menstrual pains. Why? Because he worries about his children and knows she might not have the energy to sit there doing Rual Sahib for that long. Not because he thinks she is impure. Look at the current state of our minds and still look at Maharaj Ji's never changing love. Waheguru! I thought Sikhi believed in equality? Why should it matter? I disagree. I believe anyone can do seva for our piara guru. It is very islamic to ban women to do sewa during her periods. No one should not be allowed to do guru maharaj's sewa during certain times. Also, washing your hands 5 times sounds ritualistic. If one washes once twice 5 times, 100 times is up to him/her. It's up to him/her how clean the hands should be. End of the day, it no use how cleam your hands are but your minds is full of filth. After sex, I believe a person should bathe. But washing hair is quite unnessasery. The same can be said about masturbation. Some sikhs would say it is natural without indulging in sex. Especially tenagers. End of the day, depends on us. I think, we have to know how to respect maharaj, without going ritualistic. I know one sikh who has a prakash at home and plays kirtan in the room where maharaj is the whole day. That is not in maryada, but utter most respect, isnt it? Sikhism has always said, everyting is in the mind. Kaam, karod, lobh, moh, hangkaar is in the mind, and we control it from the mind. Other religions like islam, christianity, try to control the outer actions. Example, islam will say, dont steal (which is an action), but sikhism say dont have greed (which is a state of mind). By controlling greed, we wont steal and free ourself from maya. Christians says dont rape, have extramaritial sex, Sikhism says control your lust, and all the other probem will go away. So, in summary, the mind is first. The rest comes naturally. So, how does the mind get tune. Simple- Take guru ji to be your emperor of emperors. To be the highest supreme king. Then, all respect comes. wjkk wjkf.
  19. I am going to stop eating meat... Gradually.. Making good progress....
  20. wjkk wjkf, I belive everything is written, whether or not we will find a true guru, join the sadh sangat etc. Purab likh likhia, mil sadhoo kanda khanda hai" -kirtan sohila wjkk wjkf, I belive everything is written, whether or not we will find a true guru, join the sadh sangat etc. Purab likh likhia, mil sadhoo kanda khanda hai" -kirtan sohila From the essence of discussion, we are destined, say, to be in the sadh sangat maybe 10 times, but because we act in devotion and humility, these karma increase to make it say 100 times to the sadh sangat. In japji, in the salok, it is said Karmi apo apni, key narai kay door wjkk wjkf, I belive everything is written, whether or not we will find a true guru, join the sadh sangat etc. 21. Jewellery is maya...and the more you go into prayers, the more you will understand maya is useless... It is something you will realise the more you meditate on naam. Things that change after going deep into naam : 1. maya will not be important 2. you will love all 3. You will stop talking about people 4. all the time you think of God 5. You crave for sadh sang... these are jus a few... wjkk wjkf
  22. For all the time, we have had the debate whether or not we can eat meat. While some sikhs say we can take jathka meat and some say no, we fail to undrstand one basic belief of sikhism. We, sikhs, believe in simplicity. Our guru have said that the tongue is not for tasting good food (whether kabab or Paneer mattar) but for saying God's naam. KHoor khaya, khoor kapar, khoor rupaya khoor. Baba farid says , so what if the enighbour has chopan roti (buttered bread), I am happy with my unbuttered. Baba Khaber says, give me rice and salt, and i am happy. The truth is, end of the day, good food, whether vege or not, is maya. So, if it is meat eaten to fill up your stomach or vege, it's both good. However, i would recommend vege, because, God is in all, even in animals. this is my small belief. wjkk wjkf
  23. Absolutely right.... Mool mantar is the essence, in which the whole existence of the world is inscribed in. It says how powerful God is and He is one. One should not only read it but aqlso understand the mool mantar. It is like someone seeing a waterfall and someone bathing in it. Another amazing prayer (actually all are) is the chaupai sahib. It says total surrender and asks for God to be my protector. With this prayer, no evil will touch you. amazing to be a sikh..so much good...
  24. By amazing karma, we are drawn to HIm. We found the path of Sikhi. We are put onto His path. Pray, that this goods karma continues.... As Bhagat Kabir writes.. kbIr kUkru rwm ko muqIAw myro nwau ] (1368-8, slok, Bgq kbIr jI) kabeer kookar raam ko mutee-aa mayro naa-o. Kabeer, I am the Lord's dog; Moti is my name. gly hmwry jyvrI jh iKMcY qh jwau ]74] (1368-8, slok, Bgq kbIr jI) galay hamaaray jayvree jah khinchai tah jaa-o. ||74|| There is a chain around my neck; wherever I am pulled, I go. ||74|| waheguru...
  25. Let me help you with this one.... First, we take extreme religions. IN Hinduism, we see people leaving their families, worldly possesions and going into the jungles to do meditations. Some even remain bachelors. Another extreme, is to be good in this world, raise a family, do good, manage money well (basiclly, do everything in this world and forget about inner self). We see this with christianity, moslems and jews. However, Guru Nanak has said, we need to balance both. Sikhism has shown that we can be a family man and at the same time a man of God. Look at Guru Nanak. He had a wife, 2 children and so on. However, this is where the tricky part starts. In Sikhism, to be in line with God, we have to remove ego, lust, anger , greed and Attachment. Attachment to mother, father, wife, children is not right. But then comes the question, how to love without being attach? We see Guru Gobind singh. He loved his children, but did not shed a tear when they fell mytyr. The same. We should educate them, play with them, give them love, but dont make it like they are everything to us. One good example is when we see a death...people cry. But this is the command of God. Why must we cry? The world is like this. So, why do we have kids, wife, family etc? We have people around us to help us (or we help them) reach mukti. In solak M;9, we have a translation : (1427-13, slok, mÚ 9) jo paraanee mamtaa tajai lobh moh ahaNkaar. That mortal who renounces possessiveness, greed, emotional attachment and egotism kaho naanak aapan tarai a-uran layt uDhaar. ||22|| - says Nanak, he himself is saved, and he saves many others as well. ||22|| It is Gods play. Next question : How do we reach liberation while having family.? I know, we have to worry about this and that. But, we have to find it in us to make time for HIm. Here are some points: - Wake up during amritvella - Bathe. Do your prayers (dont know nitnem?, it's ok, Just do mool mantar, or simran). Think of HIM. Praise HIm. Think how great He is. - Then start your day. Breakfast, get ready. One can always put kirtan in the house and while doing work, listen to Kirtan or simran. - While communiting to work, listen to kirtan. _ at work, take some time off to thank HIm,. to think of him. Once Tarlochan asked Namdev, how do you think of God when you do your work. Namdev answered,"I use my hands to work, my mind is with HIm". - Once back, do rehraas. Then sohila. Trust me, your 5 theieves will leave you. This is the power of prayers. But all this while being in this world. BUT, the most important thing, For PRAYERS TO TAKE EFFECT : IS TO REMOVE EGO. Ego out, Bliss in. God only wants our mind (which is the hardest to give). He doesnt need our body to go through beatings, or fasting, or anything else. The mind should remain with HIm (Man mayria, tu sada raho har naley) I hope this helps. Thank you so much. Warm Regards
