  1. yep, his face still needs to get used to it... it'll die down after a while.

though doesnt using soap make spots worse?

Yea i think it dries the skin out. i usually use clean and clear or something like that, but i think they all dry the skin out.

  2. Gurfateh,

My dads started to keep his Kesh about 3-4 months back, but hes having a problem with his dhari. He says he's getting spots or rashes where the dhari's covered his face and its a bit irritating. He cleans it everyday with soap. Does anyone else have this problem or have any solution?

    Thanks

  3. I wouldn't believe in any of them. Personally i think all these vaccinations are put into your body so you need other medication to fight the ones that this creates (if that makes sense). 30-40 years ago when our parents\grandparents arrived to a totally different climate and food etc, I don't know of any that had shots to keep them from not having flu. Again this is just my opinion, if you want to have the shot then its your decision

  4. Gurfateh,

Oh right, sorry for the misunderstanding :) We will definitely look into this and try to implement this in a future update.

    Gurfateh,,

What I meant was I use iNitnem [E] but because some of the Banis are fairly long (for example Sukhmani Sahib is 800 pages) its very difficult if i were read this is parts, as when I close the app, I would have to scroll down a few hundred pages to get to where i was before. If there was a "go to page" function this would be ideal

Thanks for that! Will be looking forward to it. Keep up the good work!

  5. Gurfateh,

Firstly the app is fantastic. I've always wanted Gurbani in english which is near at hand.

The only query i have was that the app needs a "go to page" part. So we can directly skip to a certain page. For example, i wanted to read Sukhmani Sahib, but not in on go, and if I close the app, I'd have to scroll down 800 or so pages!

Keep up the good work, thanks for the app!

    Gurfateh,

GurbaniAnywhere has stated that they are to release nitnem in their next update, which may or may not include Sukhmani Sahib. iNitnem does have many banis already including Sukhmani Sahib; you could use iNitnem [E] or iNitnem [G] whilst you wait for GurbaniAnywhere's update release.

  7. Gurfateh.

My cousin is starting to ask a few questions about life Sikhi etc. From what I know he is'nt in Sikhi but he seems to be taking an interest in it. He's asking questions about why we eat meat and reincarnation. I only know so much, so i was wondering if anyone knew of any good literature on the net or websites that I could pass to him, just to get him into Sikhi and answer his questions.

    Thanks

  8. How good is this offer? I'm looking for a laptop as well but was thinking of waiting till after xmas. But then yea there will be newer models with better specs, so its never a good time to buy anything! If the laptop is the one you want at a decent price, then get it. I bought a PC last year and am looking to sell it. Its almost half the price of what i paid for now!

  9. and in america , they have forced vaccinations now, its all over the news. it martial law. Why would they force you to have these vaccines? you should have a free choice. That link i posted earlier, has all the information, and its sources. and if you type it in on youtube, and you can see things like on cnn, fox news and they have actually got forced vaccinations in some states now. Come on you guys, this is dodgy. In 1976, there was also a swine flu pandemic, in america. And you can see all the propaganda and videos they made on the internet, its so cheesy. And many people actually died from the vaccine then.

lol look at this advert. There is some serious stuff behind this. Do you really think the government, are here to "serve the people." America has so much money, that if 1% of their finance on military, could be used to ensure everyone on this planet has safe water and food to eat. It is kalyug, but everything seems fine doesn't it? But thats the illusion of it.

Harjeet Singh, I like your thinking! I had heard some conspiracies about swine flu and a number of other stuff America has been doing. I am actually against it because of the reason, like you said, that they are trying to maniplualte you and think that this is good. The only reason why this came a worry for me is beacuse my wife is pregnant, and naturally you want the best.

  10. Thanks for the advice guys, I appreciate it. I am going to look on the NHS website, just wanted your opinions as well. Im not too keen on sticking chemicals in our bodies that we dont really know about.  Thanks for the leaflet Lowest of the low Singhni. Ill have a read of that!

  11. Gurfateh.

My wife is pregnant and its suggested to her to get the swine flu jab. I personally don't think she should. On one hand I think that its an untested jab and there could be implications for my wife and the baby later on. But on the other hand, im worried about something happening as part of my wifes job is to meet people.

    What does everyone think?

  12. erm and what about the hundreds of indian "brides" who instead of going through an agent and spending 20laks on a visa, just spend 5laks on a wedding, get their "respectable" visa, come to England, play the perfect Nuh, and then give the in laws the boot once she gets her indefinate stay stamp.. oh and then the application for her indian boyfriend's visa gets filed!!!!!

today marriage in india has become a business, why waste money with agents when you can "respectfully" send your daughter abroad on a marriage visa?

Then for a visa even our moral fibre becomes compromised, where the average joe punjabi would pull out the gandasa if he caught his girl eyeing another guy, but its ok for her to marry a stranger share his bed waste his money in terms of his family forking out air tickets, wedding costs, gold etc. as long as she then gets him over after shes got her indefinate stay and gives her "husband" the boot.

I have to agree with Gurmat Sangeet here. I heard of women coming to uk and once the passports ready, they ship over their boyfriend. Its sad that both genders are doing these kinds of acts. Sometimes we just dont understand how our actions effect other people

  13. Gurfateh Ji,

I am part of The Sikhs Podcast, the group that designed the iNitnem [G] app for the iPhone. Are there any suggestions from the sangat for this app or any other we have on the app store?

    Thanks

    K Singh

    Gurfateh,

Firstly the app is fantastic. My only suggestion would be a version thats has english translations as well?

    Thanks

  14. Gurfateh,

Just a quick one here. I've been to a few Gurdwara where they are give sweets/chocolates as Parsaad. I think its nice that the children can enjoy them or something to relate to, and yes I end up having some too lol. But some of them have egg contents as you probably know. I've taken them away from there and told someone, but I feel people need to be educated or as least have a list of what they can have or cant.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

  15. Vaheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguroo Ji Ki Fateh!

i was wondering if there is anyway to get a ipod app on like a 5th generation ipod (classic) i.e. not touch screen.

please let me know... REALLY hopeing there is a way!

Vaheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguroo Ji Ki Fateh!

Sorry paaji, i dont think there is. You might be able to put like a pdf or word doc on to your ipod and try that

  16. WJKK WJKF

Right before you fall asleep, does anyone recite any mantra. I mean i try doing Kirtan Sohila before sleeping, but when I go to bed for I sleep, I usually say Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj.

Does anyone esle say anything? Or is there something that should be said before going to bed?
