  1. Gyani Thakur Singh Jee once asked Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Jee Khalsa Bhindranwale that whenever Sant Jee speaks in the mic, Gyani Jee would hear 2 voices. Sant Jee then asked him not to tell anyone, and said that in his kanthh (throat) he would always recite Japji Sahib. How else do you think Sant Jee did 151 Japji Sahibs a day? Same goes for Baba Deep Singh Jee. The avastha of Brahmgyanis cannot be measured using logic/rationale.

    Waheguru!!

    Dhan Dhan sant Ji

    Dhan Dhan Guru Ji's Khalsa

I guess you learn something new everyday.

  2. Veerji,

I am just shocked that no one is even ready to talk about it. If everyone contributes and makes a donation then a Guru Ghar can be saved. But no one is even willing to discuss this topic, let alone give a donation. If the muslims can carry a campaign about the Mosque being built on ground Zero then why cant we Sikhs start a campaign to stop the demolition?

I mean none of the Jathebandia are doing anything, it seems that no one cares.

    I agree with your solution

"I feel every member should get involved and if you can afford it make a donation. Sikhsangat has over 18000 members so this site alone could help bring a postive impact. Even £10, would equate to £180000. We all share our views and give our 2 pence worth here is an opportuniry to do practical seva."

  4. Right since its inception , sikh panth has been under attack from brahmans , mullahs and some people within our community ( ram rai , etc )

But , what I am seeing now is surprising to me . I have been observing since past few years now that RSS is hellbent on destroying sikh identity . They simply cannot tolerate dastar and dhadha . They made rashtriya sikh sangat , purchased Badal family , some of our leaders ( I dont know how many !) . Then , we are also under attack from some manmukhs sikhs who did a big disservice to sikh kaum ( radhasoamis , nirankaris , saccha sauda ) . Unfortunately I dont know who is RSS agent and who is true guru of sikh . There has been so much of confusion over dasam granth controversy (controversy probably created by RSS ) . I can't even comprehend how the panth could have survived without blessings of our guru , considering that people are hell bent on destroying sikhi .

Not to forget, Media showing Sikhs as fools, some ignorant Punjabi's who think they are Sikh and display Sikhi in a wrong way, and Sikhs from our own community doing beadbi to Sikhi and Sikh principles.

Kalyug is really kicking in but Maharaj's Sikhi will ALWAYS flourish!

Welcome to this Path Brother. I would suggest getting some background Knowledge about Sikhi. Learn about the Guru's and Sacrifices if you haven't already.

Then slowly to grasp the concept of Sikhi, Start reading JapJi Sahib. This Bani (Prayer) is the first Bani of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Here is a link

In Sikhism we believe in Saint and Soldier. One cannot be without the other. So to become a Soldier, you have to build up on your spiritual level. A true Sikh should be hungry for Naam (name of the almighty) and Gurbani (The word of the Gurus, Praise of God).

To read more, You should start reading English Translations of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, our guide. Read a little bit of the Intro... http://searchgurbani...ib&action=intro

And then Start reading Gurbani, http://searchgurbani...tion=pagebypage

This website has most of the Sikh Holy books such as Sri Dasam Granth and Bhai Gurdas Vaaran.

Also I think SikhiWiki.org is a decent website for Sikh History and Info.

Sorry if I have made any mistakes.

  6. Man this is so true. I just got back from India and not a lot of people wear the bana. Being the moorakh I am, whenever I saw someone in complete Bana, I guessed that either that person was a foriegner, or a part of Damdami Taksal or Budha Dal. Its the common mentality people foolish like me have nowdays. sad.gif
