2. There has been hostility between Nihangs and AKJ like always. At first, when bhasuria pseudo scholar declined bhagat di bani along with ragmalla. Nihang Singhs of Budda dal were ready to sort out this malech masand along with whoever supporting him to disown bani of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ie- Bhagat bani, Ragmalla. It was Sant Giani Gurbachan singh Ji Bhindranwale who handle this suitation pretty well, sat and had talks with budda dal not to raise swords against ram raes of the panth and advised them- this can be solved without any violence. Then the troubling times of 84 came along where cross fired between nihangs and akj started. Nang phola who was excommuniciated from Shrimoni Budda dal. He killed lot of great innocent babar khalsa's. Babbar khalsa in revenge killed lot of innocent old school nihangs because they use to shak shaheedi degh(sukha) That was all their crime that they used to shak sukha.  Few members of Babbar khalsa  also started distorting Nihang sacred symbols ie- Farla tradition, Aad Chand. Actions of both sides were disguisting. There is still subtle tentions between Nihangs and Akjs even to this day.

Now let's look at the suitations of nihangs in UK. Teja, Niddar VS Akj UK is a personal one. Teji and Niddar were both AKJ in some point in their life. They both became ex-akj when they adapted Nihang outlook. Teji was fanatic since day one because of ideology he grew up as insecure samagam boi. All teja/narsingha did was went from one extreme (khatar akj) to another extreme (khatar snatanist/nihang).

Anyway going back to bhai randhir singh ji (ratan of the panth). Bhai randhir singh ji closed his ties with bhasuria and admitted to sant giani gurbachan singh Bhindranwale that he made a terrible mistake regarding ragmalla at end of his day. Reason bhai randhir singh ji didn't admit that mistake to his close associates because he didn't want his close associates to loose sharda in him and besides nobody will listen to him as things went far already. Gyani Thakur Singh Ji patiala wale who is a student of damdami taksal mentioned this in a room where akj singhs were present who wanted to know views of damdami taksal regarding bhai sahib bhai randhir singh ji. Gyani ji, have immense respect towards bhai sahib bhai randhir singh ji for admitting the truth.

Anyone who has problem with above paragraph, take your concerns with damdami taksal old school singhs. They all have their firm beleif that bhai randhir singh ji did admitted his mistake. Bhai Sahib is no doubt is bhramdristi van, bhramgyani in my eyes.

As gurbani says, no one is perfect. Mistakes do happen by hands of Gursikhs. It's great step to admit that mistake and move on.

I have previosuly never heard these suggestions that Niddar and Teja were formerly AKJ. Where did you learn of this?

  3. anyways, kandola how do you know this guy is naamdhari?

lol, if you actually read my post, i said "he might have been, he might not have been"

but because i thought he was namdhari (he may have been, he may not have been) i wanted to ask sangat can namddhari come into a panthic guru ghar?

amazing once you read ones post you dont need to ask the same question again hunaa?

    lol sorry im knit picking.

well, i thought he was namdhari because

    a) the way he tied his dastaar

    b) the kapri wasnt actually gyaani style or anything like it, it was tight at the bottom, which is somethoing i dont see in our guru ghar

    c) notice he had no kakkars

    d) seemed very very strict in his own maryada. never seen someone so tall yet so skinny.

but in answer to that you can say

    a) you cant judge someone by the paag they wear. i have come across taksalis who wear nok paags, my first impression were they were akj, but after speaking to them they were in fact taksali.

    b) again assumptions you cant judge in that way.

    c) how do i know he wasnt wearing his kirpaan underneath his kurta, or wasnt wearing a small one or didnt wear one in his dastaar?

    d) he could be bibeki.

coming from there, i thought say if a namdhari did come to a gurughar (as i said, he might have been, he might not have been, but the sangat there were doing his chugli and saying it was obvious he was namdhari...what they pinpointed i didnt bother listening to).

anyhow, say if a namdhari came to the guru ghar, would he be welcomed (bearing in mind the story i came across!)

    gustaphi maaf

    130757

Do Namdharis not wear kakkars?? Your point C suggests this is the case, I always believed they wore all 5 kakkars. Many Gurdwaras have Namdhari "visitors," especially in places where there aren't "Namdhari Gurdwaras." For this reason, I assume they would be welcomed ok, but your example seems to indicate differently as per the chugli comment.

Does anyone else find it weird how sometimes we own and disown Namdharis?? I was recently at a talk about 84 where there part of the speech focused on the price Sikhs paid for Indian independence, and as part of this price was included the Namdhari contribution within the "Kooka Movement."

  4. Where did you gather Amritpal Singh was AKJ? From the fact that the llink was posted by AKJ Chandigarh?? I believe on the site it says Amritpal took Amrit at Hazoor Sahib ( I may be incorrect) but I seem to recall this from one of the articles, and thus if you wish to classify him, I suppose the term Hazoori would be most appropriate.

However, he questions much of Hazoori Maryada too, and as such classification as Hazoori would be problematic. But this does not mean he is AKJ.

  5. Gurfateh!!

Is it just me or do none of the links actually work??? @

    Gurfateh!!

    130740

Its appears as though this is a hidden section on the website at present, as there are no links to take you to this section either. Should be an intersting read when its up. I'm expecting a well-researched and evidence-laden comparison if material on other associated sites is anything to go by.

In the extract you have provided, where does it state this description applies to maha-kaal? Is this not more likely to be a description of Kaal rather than maha kaal?

  7. would dhir mal, who claimed to be the ninth nanak, be welcomed by the sangat?  naamdharis have their own living guru, isn't

that an insult to guru granth sahib ji?  all people are welcome but in the end of the day the naamdharis are working against sikhi.  If all sikhs became naamdharis, SGGS would no longer be guru, a dehdhari guru would be our guru.....

    130256

It's not as if the guy was preching, and looking to convert from what I can see. Who knows, maybe by going to the Gurdwara this guy might himself realise the identity of the true Guru, so who are we to prevent anyone?

  8. what abt boyz... its not all abt girls..  some gurls are bad and so r boyz!

    130279

lol start a new thread about that then. This thread is for moaning about girls, and looking for an explanation for the phenomenon that has been described.

  9. aaj as you know was the great day of bandhi chor divas, my day spent in the guru ghar.

the day went as people came and went and i slowly got tired and stopped chugging along, i suddenly came across someone, from seemed to be (judging by the kapra and paag) a namdhari. i managed to take a few good pics of the person, he came into the guru ghar and wanted to do some sewa.

being honest i kind of felt happy to see him, yet i felt sorry for him.

anyhoo, these are the three pics (lol bechara he prob thought i was some twisted sick perv who wanted to take pics and keep them forver...that or he thought i was going to put up a wanted sign for the guy).

anyhow, what do you guys make of this and secondly because of the beliefs namdharis have, should they be welcomed into the guru ghar?

    gustaphi maaf

    130245

Shouldn't everyone regardless of faith or beliefs be welcomed into out Guru ghars?

LOL love the undercover pics though, lol- did he even catch you snapping away??

  10. oh does this really happens??

MAY i ask if you were cheated by any sikh girl?? may be u can share with us?

but i understand some people just take amrit as a UNIFORM and not follow the rules being taking it..........so these are those girls....they can't control themselves and also want to be guru ji's daughter .........this is really wrong.......will get punishment from babaji sooner or later

    130207

I'm not sure the poster was reffering to Amritdhari girls. I got the impression they meant girls from Amritdhari families (ie with Amritdhari parents, and as such not neccesarilly Amritdhari themselves).

Have you got the link for the thread so we can see if more information is posted please?

  12. this is a ridiculous thread...the compromise is no compromise at all...it's pathetic...people should just drop these issues...follow what akal takt has said..and thats it...if you wanna follow something ...great...don't expect everyone else to agree with you and FORCE your beliefs on others...that is what this "compromise" is doing...it's FORCING people to believe whatever ONE group wants....

    128601

Well said, lol, but you've got to love the innocence and naiievity of the approach. They accidentally made a compromise which forwarded the belief that keski is essential. People should believe what they wish, and in the scenario described, it is acceptable that the kesh camp were made to change their minds by the keski camp, who were obviously by far the smarter, as the compromise shows.

However, the rule they created just simply cannot be universalised, as it is an absolute farce when suggested to be a compromise

  13. wjkk wjkf

    pyare khalsa jeo

If we see our history then keski is a kakkaar. Women have equal rights as men.

that means keski and dastaar is one and the same thing.

But I personally think women are afraid of Keski.

    Women have bacome coward.

Now we are under the influence of hindu society.

That is why if some people are happy with the term Kes with Keski.

We should not mind because ultimately truth will have to come out.

Moreover I think again after  some years when our cowardness will be finished.

We will come forward to say KESKI IS OUR RIGHT.

Now we donot have much knowledge of sikhi but our VALI VARIS GURU GOBIND SINGH WILL TAKE CARE OF US .HE WILL TEACH US SIKHI.

    128591

I think you're breaking the rules- you're not allowed to discuss whether keski or kesh is kakkar on this forum, or so I understand.
