  1. What equipment will you need 2 record kirtan programs from multiple cameras? And you can have an effect when you switch cameras. So you can have one camera on Siri Guru Granth Sahib Jee, one camera on the Kirtani and maybe another on the Sangat.

Is there any equipment that is required for this. And where can I get it from. ive seen KSUK use it at kirtan programs.

  2. Sorry buddy u gota wait until your 16 to get a Debit Card and you have to be 18 to get a Credit Card! but you can get a joint account with your parents coz your still young. But the only thing you can do with that is put in money and take it out which aint all that good! Only with debit or credit card you can use in stores and online!

There might be other accounts that you can have, you will just have to go to the bank and they will book you a appointment and talk you threw it. You may need your passport though but they will tell you that anyways!

On the bright side ONLY 2 YEARS LEFT UNTIL YOU GET A DEBIT CARD!! :p LOL

  3. That’s Wicked!! Daas just started learning the Vaja a couple of weeks back as well! =D I also got told to check out this Bhai Sahib Jees YouTube channel

http://www.youtube.com/user/learnkirtan?blend=2&ob=1 he has a wide range of shabad lessons, and I’ve also learnt many shabads myself just by watching the videos =D.

Also if you like a shabad that you’ve listened to just take it out on the vaja! Takes a couple of minutes and you would have such a wide range of shabads to chose from when doing kirtan!

Ohhhh and if you do like a shabad and you can’t take it out on the Vaja just send me a link or something and I will be more than happy to take it out myself and send you the notes! =D

  4. Hi,

I'm just going to say that I don't understand why the last option was put in seeing as it is important for ALL sikhs to wake up at amrit vela, not only amritdharis, both my grans woke up at amrit vela every single morning before they were amritdhari and I'm sure there are a few amritdharis out there who miss amrit vela so I just don't get it!

Of course we all know that Amrit Vela is a MUST for all Sikhs, but as we can tell from the polls many of us aren’t getting up! And Daas would want to know the reason why that is. Because personally I think that Amrit Vela is one of the most important time of the day, and of a Sikhs life. So by doing all this I will know why people aren’t waking up, and also others will know what the main reason is.

The last option came when I was asking the same question to my friends, and they replied “oh I’m not Amritdhari yet so there’s no point of me getting up” and I found that wrong. So I wanted to know was it only them saying this, or is it more people.

    Waheguru........

  5. So does that mean people should only press the no if they don't want to wake up or don't even make the effort even though they know they should? Or they think it's pointless to wake up.

I'm sure every single sikh wants to wake up at amrit vela seeing as our gurus emphasised the fact that we must.

If they don't want to/wish to wake up at amrit vela then how can they be sikh? (i.e if they want to go against the gurus word then they shouldn't be sikh!)

They should only press No if they don't really care about amrit vela. See the next poll which I'm going to do is regarding why people don't wake up, and the different options will be if their 2 lazy or if there not amridhari etc... I'll will be creating it in the next few days :D. It will all make sense at the end:D.

  6. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Daas will be doing a series of weekly polls regarding Amrit Vela, this is so Daas and the pyaree Sangat will know what Amrit Vela is like for others and how you do your Amrit Vela. Also it can encourage the Sangat to get up during this amazing time!

Feel free to suggest any questions!

    LET THE POLLS Begin! biggrin.gif

  7. We are actually supposed to use sarbloh (iron) cutlery,

This is because iron is mainly found in foods such as meat, and as Sikhs we are vegetarians so we cannot consume meat. And that is why we use sarbloh cutlery because once we eat we naturally consume the iron as well, and this helps a Sikh keep strong and healthy.

That’s why we also wear a sarbloh kara, as the iron rubs off onto your skin.

I think metal is used because it doesn’t rust easily: S but we are actually supposed to use sarbloh!
