    Pauree:

The Dear Lord is my mother, the Dear Lord is my father; the Dear Lord cherishes and nurtures me.

The Dear Lord takes care of me; I am the child of the Lord.

Slowly and steadily, He feeds me; He never fails.

He does not remind me of my faults; He hugs me close in His embrace.

Whatever I ask for, He give me; the Lord is my peace-giving father.

He has blessed me with the capital, the wealth of spiritual wisdom; He has made me worthy of this merchandise.

He has made me a partner with the Guru; I have obtained all peace and comforts.

He is with me, and shall never separate from me; the Lord, my father, is potent to do everything. ||21||

my dear sweet brother, i do not know you, just as you do not know me

but i can feel your pain and your longing and aching and in return my heart pours out love for you, i hope you can accept this worthless gift from me; you are in my prayers and i hope that one day you will get the chance to shine and light the world as you are doing now, but as a Guru ka Sikh :D Guru Sahib is always there to assist you; as hard as it may be, as easy as it may be me to say, please keep the faith beloved brother, please keep the faith, keep the hope alive, and one day my dear one, you will Realise the Truth within yourself because you are the embodiment of the Lord and He loves you and He will never seperate from you. please forgive me for any mistakes. pray.gif

  3. Also Jaap Sahib is quite a “fast” Bani so to speak.

Like for example where you come across Bujang Paryaat Chaand. Bujang means the smooth chaal and back and forth movement of the snake, like the way in which a snake moves is quite fast that’s how the Bani is recited to.

my cousin is doing this course, final year now, he seems to enjoy it, he wants to do pgce and become a teacher, further study onto Masters and D.Phil would also be beneficial in such a subject! if you would like to discuss anything with him please pm me! :D

  5. okay thanks for the advice people <_< well im in wolverhampton, if anyone knows any teachers that would be great :TH: and just need to tackle my parents now lol.... :@

hey bhenji what's your "local" Gurughar?

i know Guru Nanak Gurdwara Sedgley St do tabla classes, not too sure on the ustaad but if it's Harkeval Singh ji you're in safe hands!! he also teaches at Wednesfield Gurughar and Willenhall

also there's taanti saaj class at Nanaksar Thaath Gurughar on Fri evenings from 7pm, ustaad ji teaches dilruba there if you're interested, come along and check it out!

i would love to learn sitar also but don't know anyone local who teaches!

if you need any more info you can mail me at gurjyd@hotmail.com :D

  6. Can you get statements from the two witnesses?

That would help you a great deal; I think you should tell your insurers?

This happened to me also, but they took it through my insurers; but I was able to prove that the woman who tried to claim for personal injury was not wearing her seat belt, I had my sister as a witness and the claim fell through, best bet is to seek advice from a lawyer or your insurance company and get the statements from the two witnesses!

    Good luck!

  7. "yesterday at a wedding some man dropped dead on the dance floor "

why would u go to parties where bhangra and liquor is served?

    :D

where did i say i was at the party? i just mentioned where he died!! and how do you know this party served alcohol and meat? where you there also veer?

    jeez!!!!

now i'm going off track! but thanks for your concern!!!!

if you haven't got anyting appropriate to say then i suggest you don't say anything!!

    thanks anyways!

ok now ima stop typing because i am annoyed

thanks for the shabad Khalsa, was good to read it again :D

but yeah life goes on and that's what ima do, live it!!!!

  8. it's already happened over here (uk)

down south, my friend went to one organised by a Ramgharia Community Centre *surprise surprise*

    however

it wasn't for Gursikhs so to speak

just the "ramgharia sikh community" rolleyes.gif

but he didn't do too well unfortunately

as the ladies weren't really into his turban and beard, now there's another surprise hey! :D rolleyes.gif

  9. okay this might be so random

it's just 'weird' like i knowww death is the only sort of gurarantee in life and like we're all going to "die" so to speak

but like in the past 2 -3 weeks around 10 people i know have died!!!

    and like it's weird

and like the funny thing is i'm always the one saying "chalo its God's will so it's all good, 'cus when you gotta go you gotta go" and like i don't tend to be bothered so much - as harsh as that sounds!!

but like the passing away of the 3 Gursikhs was a mega thing for me (and many others like wise) and like yeah i know people die all the time like someone is dying now and like now and like now and like last week, when it was the funeral of the 3 Gursikhs, that morning my tayia ji had died and like ok so he lived in India so not like i was close to him but like now it's bugging me and like yesterday at a wedding some man dropped dead on the dance floor and like ah gosh i dont know

i dont even know why i am making this post!!

i'm not confused, i guess im just sort of feeling lost?

lol ahhhh mannnn it's realllllly hard to explain!!!!

mm if anyone has words of advice or anything please help like is there any particular Gurbani shabad i can recite or meditate on to like get over some stuff? i find great solice in Gurbani and Kirtan and at Gurdwara and i know 'life' goes on and all that but i don't seem to be like you know be bothered about doing other stuff like going to work no.gif

    you know i just realised

i'm moaning, 'life' is too short, or perhaps even too long in some cases hey!!! or in fact just right? lol seee what i mean about the weird/not being able to explain stuff?!?! :D lol random stuff going on in my head right now

and i just really should shut up and get on with stuff hey

    apologies for wasting time

admin get rid of this topic if you can please
