  7. Within days after the attack on and massacre at the Durbar Sahib, Amritsar and more than 40 major Sikh worship and historical centres across India in June 1984 by its troops, Mrs Indira Gandhi's government mailed, unsolicited, a series of propaganda tapes - VHS and Beta video - to individuals and institutions around the world. Excerpts from these tapes speak for themselves, when simply juxtaposed today against the truth that began to emerge, slowly but surely, after these tapes had unfortunately achieved their original goal: misinformation and a feeble attempt to justify a crime of historical proportions and far-reaching poltical and social implications. The tapes were produced and distributed in 1984 through a multi-million dollar budget assigned to an international PR agency by the then Indian Government. The poison implanted by the lies and the propaganda became entrenched in the public mind soon after its dissemination, and continues to polarize the Indian scene and the Indian Diaspora. 8. HOSHIARPUR NIHANG DERA RAID NETS PROSTITUTION RING PANTHIC.ORG | Published on July 11, 2012 http://www.panthic.org/articles/5440 Nihang Teja Singh confronted by Satkar Committee Sevadars NANDACHAUR, PUNJAB (KP) - The head of a small Nihang dera in Nandachaur, Nihang Teja Singh was arrested and charged by the local authorities for operating a prostitution ring from this place of worship. The raid conducted in cooperation with Bulhowal Police, volunteers from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Committee, Bhai Amrik Singh (Damdami Taksal Ajnala) , and Satkar Committee sevadars from Hoshiarpur detained Nihang Teja Singh, Balwinder Singh, and an unidentified professional dancer from the town of Pragpur. The dera, located on the Bulhowal-Bhogpur Road had been under surveillance by local sevadars for nearly a month. On Monday, the sevadars decided to notify the police authorities when they tracked the dancer and young men entering the dera permises. The dera, known as, “Sri Anandgarh Shaheed Singhan” in Nandachaur, had been turned into a house of prostitution by the Nihang, who charged clients for the illicit services and use of rooms located within the dera. The professional dancer who was caught inside the dera Bottles of Liquor discovered inside the dera complex Satkar Committee sewadars also discovered that meat, alcohol, and other forbidden paraphernalia were being used in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s presence. Due to lack of genuine parchar by Panthic organizations, Gurdwaras and deras have become a common place for illicit activities by anti-social elements and individuals whose activities often go unchecked by authorities and Panthic organization. Interestingly, this raid was a joint effort by the local authorities and the Satkar Committee sewadars who obtained consent for the raid from Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar. In the past, such cooperation was non-existent. In the past, Satkar Committee sewadars were warned not to take unilateral action without consent from Sri Akal Takht Sahib. In February of 2012, members of the Satkar Committee were roughed up by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) task force and detained by the Amritsar Police after they initiated a unilateral raid on Gurdwara Ramsar printing facilities.
  9. Great Job bhai sahib for taking this sewa, its interesting that the anti-sikhi website doesnt mention where it got its facts from. also everyone check this website out sanatan hindu sikhism there bashing sikhi and our Gurus saying that Guru Nanak Ji wore a topi not a turban, Guru Nanak Ji was a Vishnu Bhagat and sikhi is full of castism and inequality for women. I am seeing these kinds of websites springing more now, i think we need to have answers ready. Were being attacked from every sides Namdharis www.namdhari faithweb.com/ Radhaswami saying were not going to reach Sachkhand without a living Guru HInduism saying were an off shoot of there faith with nothing new. That Guru Nanak Ji was just another avatar. Islam saying because the name of muhammad is mentioned in Guru Granth Sahib Ji that we should convert to there faith. Christianity doing hugh missionary work inside panjab converting towns into christians. and all the other little deras that are threat to Sikhi. I think we should all answer these questions and be informed about the tactics there using.
  10. article link JALANDHAR: Three prominent organizations of academicians and activists working for Punjabi language have said that the opposition to the decision of Guru Nanak Dev University making of Punjabi language for Punjab resident students till graduation level mandatory was arising out of communal psyche. Punjab Jagriti Manch, Punjabi Language Academy and Punjab Academy of Social Science Literature and Culture in a joint press conference here on Saturday said that the forces now opposing mandatory study of Punjabi language were same who opposed reorganization of Punjab on linguistic basis and then even naming of University in Amritsar after Guru Nanak Dev. "Already their communalism and vested interests have damaged Punjab a lot and its language and now these elements need to be kept at the bay and University of Punjab government should not change the decision about mandatory study of Punjabi for Punjab students," the leaders of these organizations said. Former GNDU VC Dr S P Singh, Former Punjabi University VC Dr Joginder Singh Puar and Jagriti Manch general secretary Satnam Singh Manak said that these communal elements were exerting pressure on the university as well as on the state government through their political linkages to withdraw the decision. Manak said that GNDU had given an option of subject Punjab History and Culture in place of Punjabi language for those students who had studies outside Punjab for ten years. "However this option has been misused by colleges as it has been found that 80% of students who were opting for this subject had actually studies in Punjab schools. In Schools already Punjabi has been given a back seat and students are even punished if they converse in Punjabi. First discouraging Punjabi in schools and now opposing its study in college level were arising out of the same mindset," he said. These academicians also supported the move of the university to teach basics of Punjabi to Students coming to University out of Punjab for studying in postgraduate courses. "They would study in English but would learn basics of Punjabi so that they can be enabled to live and converse with people here easily," they said.

  13. Great job, wonderful books and also great website idea.
  14. Are these 9 granths taught along with Guru Granth Sahib Ji or after, as like a comparitive religious study, because if they are taught first wouldnt that effect the meaning of Gurbani, because your reading them first and basing you understanding of Gurbani on them, and reading Gurbani after. Also, what about Rehatnamas and Gurblas and other Sikh Granths, also shouldn't these Granths be taught first then these 9 Granths of different groups.
  15. Does anyone have any more information on: 1. how many Gurdwaras are under the control of Damdami Taksal and Sato Wali Gali Taksal. 2. how many students are studying each year. 3. how long are the courses at Taksal or Nirmala Udasi Deras, and which Granths do they study. 4. Also is there video of a session of a class at the Taksals on the internet or do any Taksals do live streaming through the internest. Any information will help.

Whoever has full faith in the Guru in this life will be happy in the next 30 Choupi- Dont ever say half of a Sikh's name without the Singh or Kaur added on. If someone does he will be punished. A Sikh should not be with other women besides his wife 31 A Sikh should not sleep in the morning or afternoon, because he might get lazy. A Sikh should always have his hair tied up. They should not be listened too, only listen to what the Guru has said 50 Guru Ji taught this teaching to Bhai Lahoura Singh, Bhai Nand Singh and everyone else there and they were in bliss 51
  19. Story of Bhai Mala Singh and Bhai Lahoura Singh From Sri Gurpartap Suraj Granth Katha by Giani Thakur Singh Ji can be listened on this story under Mukatnama http://www.gurmatveechar.com/audio Dohra- This is how Sri Satguru Ji/Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji is protecting/caring for us, getting us all across this ocean of the world 1 Nishni Chand- When the month of Visakh/april was over, Satguru Ji on his horse would go to the jungle. Beautiful flowers of different colors would bring happiness to the mind. Guru Ji would go far into the jungle to hunt, then would come back 2 Whenever hearing or seeing that someone is harming another, Guru Ji went that way to destroy them. Whoever joined Guru Ji got protection and whoever had pride and thought themselves to be unstopable, they were the enemies, they were looted and plundered by the Khalsa 3 After sometime, the summer months passed then the clouds were everywhere and rain started to pour. The frogs and peacocks were happy 4 Sri Satguru Ji is in Anandpur Sahib in bliss. Guru Ji's house is very tall. During the night Guru Ji sleeps on the very top floor 5 Very cold wind rushes forth, Sri Satguru Ji has his bed there, because of all the flowers that are hanging the air is sweet 6 All different flowers are giving there scent, candles are giving there light. Beautiful blankets and pillows: 7 Sri Satguru Ji is about to go to sleep. Houses of Sikhs were nearby and their conversations could be heard by Guru Ji. Lahoura Singh a Sikh is a caretaker of Guru Ji's children and Mala Singh has made his house near Guru Ji too 8 Mala Singh was a business man who lent money then collected the interest, this is how he made his living. He was full of faith and a good person, because of this people took advantage of him and he was going bankrupt. Lahoura Singh took a loan from Mala Singh 9 of hundred rupay/indian money and sometime had past. Mala Singh went to collect the money but Lahoura Singh turned him down everytime 10 Mala Singh was barely making enough to live off. His wife said "you loaned him the money, why aren't you getting it back." Why isn't he giving our money back, were poor 11 He doesn't think of our needs in his heart. After listening to this Mala Singh went to ask for the money during the same night 12 He told Lahoura Singh everyday i come ask for the money and you turn me away or lie to me today im not leaving without my money. They both started to fight outloud, then Lahoura Singh in his loud voice said this one line: 13 Dohra- "Sikh taking of another Sikh don't worry about it." Mala Singh's heart was hurt hearing this and he got even more angry 14 Then he said another line, "whatever is written in a persons life thats what he's going to get" 15 Mala Singh listened and with an angry voice said "now you have my money and trying to explain it away with your Gyan/knowledge so you dont have to pay it back." You should be faithful and pay it back 16 Whoever is not faithful and lies will be asked for an account by God, he will be punished and will cry outloud 17 Nishni Chand- Lahoura Singh listened and said "No one calls me to account, since God is my forgiver." (SGGSJ 1096) Guru Ji heard this and knew they were his Sikhs 18 He took the money and is not giving it back, Lahoura Singh has become greedy and reading lines of Gurbani with the wrong intentions he is putting force on me 19 Dohara- Then Sri Satguru in a loud voice said 20 In the Guru's Presence we should give back what we borrow and do right to everyone so we wont fall away from our faith 21 Then Sri Satguru said whatever deed a person does Guru Ji will make sure he will get the fruit of it. Mahla 1 To take what rightfully belongs to another, is like a Muslim eating pork, or a Hindu eating beef. Our Guru, our spiritual Guide, stands by us, if we do not eat those carcasses. (SGGSJ 131) 22 Choupi- Guru Ji is on the top of his house standing, then replied to Bhai Lahoura Singh's comments'. Bhai Lahoura Singh immediately knew he was lieing and didn't say anything because he knew Guru Ji was listening to what he had said 23 Bhai Lahoura Singh became humbled and said to Bhai Mala Singh, "I was just playing with you, dont be angry, foregive me, I will give your money first thing in the morning" 24 After saying this they went to there homes to sleep. In the morning Sri Satguru woke, bathed, and put on beautiful clothes 25 In the congregation Guru Ji sat down. Bhai Lahoura Singh also woke up and called Bhai Mala Singh near him 26 Bhai Lahoura Singh give the money to Bhai Mala Singh, then took a bath and came to the congregation of Guru Ji 27 With folded hands he bowed before Guru Ji and was thinking what happened last night and wanted to be forgiven, he knew it was a big sin. Being humble he said: 28 Chand-"Being greedy a Sikh gets seprated from the Guru. Guru the forgiver please take me back. Guru Ji we are sinners who dont walk on the path of Truth. We have families and forget that this world is false" 29 Dohara- Guru Ji with a laugh said, "Dont do any wrong to anyone," always follow the teachings of the Guru 30 Kam/lust Drodh/Rage Logh/greed dont do anything with these in your mind, this is the way of the saints 31 Then Guru Ji had him sit with him to teach and all the Sikhs sitting there were also listening 32
  20. here is the second part from Gur Pratap Suraj Granth it was done quickly, also it is indepth gyan so this has alot alot of shortcoming but hope one or two things can be learned from it it is better to study the orginal. i hope these resources will give you a better idea and attracte you toward studing it yourself. Giani Thukar Singh Ji's Katha Atam Gian http://www.gurmatveechar.com/audio Another english translation done by a forum member the best one http://www.sikhawareness.com/index.php/topic/8493-atamgian-katha-between-bhai-dya-singh-ji-sangat/ Atma Darphan Vichar Choupi- Then the Singhs asked Bhai Daya Singh Ji what is the form of Aygaan ignorance by which we can reconzie it. Also, what is maya, avidha, bandan and mokh 1 Choupi- Also explien in detail what is Jagrat, Supan, and Skopat Avasta stages. Then please explien Mursha, Smaadh and Turi. 2 There's also Sakhi and Jeev please describe them too. Then explien what Brahm is and the form of the five kosh sheath, case that holds a sword. 3 Bhai Daya Singh Ji heard these fifteen questions and said whoever has the blessings of the Guru will with full faith believe them 4 Now listen to all the answers to your questions. With the Grace of the Guru I will explien them and who ever understands them will cross this terrible bhavsagar ocean 5 Swayiye Chand- Without Akar shape without Janam birth Anaadi without begainning from inside Brahm is Agyaan. Agyaan has six parts First Chatan God which is everywhere Second Chatna Third Ishvarta Fourth Jeev Beej Fifth Ishvar Jeev Six Chidaa Baas 6 The six parts of Agyaan ignorance are in Sukham form. For instance in a seed once it grows will have roots, leafs, branches, then the flowers or fruits. This is called Aabya kirat or Aybaakit. The first Saam stage is this, Ved and all the Saints say this 7 Sukham- without qualites, cannot be experienced with the five senses When Chatan's prakash light hits maya then the three gun quality stage called Samaya is born. Know that it is because of Chatan's power that maya works. It also has a Vikar stage. Sato Rajo Tamo with all other powers calls itself Pradaan King because it can do anything. Listen Sikhs this is maya understand it. 8 Avidya-When God's Prakash light hits maya it becomes Pradaan King and creates Bikar and duality. When maya comes it brings sato pureness but with the three guns quality it gets dirty. When the three guns quailty meet Avidya blindness is born know that by the Guru's Updesh teaching it gets destoryed. When the mind knows that it is Atama soul then duality gets destroyed. 9 Dohra- Vidya true knowlege brings continous peace inside. Doubts and blindness will be vanished 10 Choupi- (Bindan)-Tan body, Indri five senses, Man mind, Praan breath, life energy are all Anaatam. Thinking I am the Deh body brings Dukh pain 11 Dohra- (Mukti)-With the continuse Abhyas practice of the Guru's Shabad Word our ego will fall away. Merging into Sat-Chaitan-Anand Waheguru we get Mukat liberated 12 Swayiye Chand- (Jaagrat)-The fourteen indreean are collectivily known as Adhyaatm. The fourteen Visha are collectivily known as aadhboot. The controllers of indreean and visha are known as adhdav, so theres 42 in total. Sukhpat dreamless sleepis when you wake up and think that you didnt have any dreams. Supan when you had a bad dream. Behind these three is one Atma soul 13 (Supan)-In the stage when the body is not needed or the 14 visha. The things we see when were asleep are just our thinking in reality they do not exist. Whatever is seeing our dream is in the Supan stage 14 (Skoopat) stage when the mind says i had no dream. In the Kaaran Deh body is avidya blindness 15 (Mursha)-During the wakeful state you get an accident and go in comma, while you were in comma the atama soul is still working. This is called Murcha comma state 16 (Smaadhi)-Where you take Brahm God, Giaataa person with Giaan knowledge this is called Sivkalp with some thoughts Smaadhi. When in smaadhi you forget everything else but Brahm God this is called Nirvkalp only contemplation of God Smaadhi 17 (Turiaa Avstha)- Mursha, Smaadhi and the three stages Jaagrat, Supan, and Sakhopat at the end comes Turiaa 18 Dohra- In the Nirvkalp Smaadhi you see Brahm everywhere. This is called Turia Stage how can i describe it 19 Swayiye Chand (Jeev and Saakhi)- From Jaagrat to Smaadhi is still Jeev. The Atama Soul is giver of the Prakash light. Turia is Atama Atama is Turia 20 (Brahm)-Isher Brahm Bishan are the three selfs of Ishvir. Know there is one Ishvir also know that the Atama soul's form is Brahm God 21 Dohra- Brahm is not with anyone, but he isn't different then anyone else. Brahm is Nirvakalp, 22 Brahm is aanand bliss bliss is Brahm, with knowing him Andh darkness of ignoress tam darkness kup well. 23 Swayiye Chand (Kosh)- First Kosh is Anand maye. The example of a parrot is used. The Darshan of the isht parrot is the head. Getting to see it infront of you is called Moodh. Enjoying the vastu is called Promodh, its another feather. This is anand maye kosh full form 24 Dohra- Isher is inside of us all, even though we have different bodies 25 Stull body seen Sukham- or lign- subtle, after death karan- in each body Then over this is three more kosh, they are in ling srir body. 26 Anma kosh is the body, made of what we eat 27 Choupu- In the veda and the Saints have used the parrot analogy for the five kosh. The five karam indri and five praan are known as Praanmaa Kosh 28 One Praan has four pounan, that is the head and two feathers. Karam Indree with the mind is known as Manomay Kosh: 29 Bakri Bani is the head. Pashanti and Madma are the feathers. Know that the tail is the Prar 30 With five Gyan Indri and sixth Budhi is called Vigyan Mai Kosh 31 The three koshes that have been mentioned are Ling Srir. The kosh and three Sreer know them well 32 Sat Chaitan Anand is the most Sukham unseen. We can only know about it with the most Sukham Unseen Budhi intulicate. 33 Next to the Budhi is the Atama Soul with Gyan knowledge you can know this. The Man mind is made to wonder outside it doesnt try to look inside itself to know who it is 34 The five indree and five Gyan are made to look outside. They only are satisfed with the ras of outside things, they dont try to understand the Man mind and whats inside 35 The controler of the indree is Man mind, because the mind is Sukham unseen and the indree are Thul seen they dont reconzine eachother 36 The mind because of ego cant see Atama soul. The mind is Anaytam. Also Atama soul is Sukam and the mind is thul seen 37 The five indree and sixth the Man mind, only see outside. They only look at the outside world 38 Without the Sharnee protection of Satguru we wont reconzie what is happening and to fix them. All the indrees become peacful and settle And whats inside of us 39 Like a crazy animal the indrees senses do what ever they want. The indrees always think something is going to satisfe it but they dont become satisfeld 40 When someone reconizes Brahm God then he is in bliss and peace 41 Dohra- Knowing the Atma soul and comtemplating Naam the mind will get rest. This is called Aantreev inside Gyan knowledge 42
