Its being 2 months since your 3rd mix tape hit the streets, what impact has it had?

"Yo I think the youth loved it, from the feedback we been getting, mainly Sikhs from the poorer backgrounds and those who have seen reality and what da streets r about appreciate it. Youths that have been victims of attacks, know da deal, and understand where we r coming from. The silver-spoon Sikhs didn't like it; their reason was we glorify guns. Never have we said get a gun and rob, or commit crime wid it. But we say there's nothing wrong with defending yourself that's a natural instinct. Guru Gobind Singh Ji- glorified guns and other weapons for protection! These people live in rich areas and have never had no1 come at them with a gun; the police aren't any good they come after you have been shot, so you have to rely on yourself. I want to ask these people, the U.K and USA have nuclear power, which can indiscriminately destroy life, but have they protested!, the police forces are armed , but they lick there a** when there car gets stolen, but they send their fellow Sikh brothers hate mail and put us down, its disgusting. But allow them cos u get haters and lovers thats the dynamics of life. But I tell you something if a Sikh is climbing a ladder it will be a next Sikh man that will come and pull him off, thats how low our community has gone.

A Sikh is taught not to have hate towards others; therefore a Sikh is not a racist and should have no discrimination what so ever, as Sikhs are taught gods light exists within all. Anyone is allowed into the Gurdwara regardless of race, religion and status etc People of any background can come to eat food from the free kitchen, listen to Sikh hymns and partake in other productive activities such as charity work etc. also anyone from any background is able to embrace the Sikh fold and in turn practice the Sikh religion. Once a person had joined the Sikh nation, they have the right to undergo, the Sikh naming ceremony, the Amrit ceremony (this is when a Sikh metaphorically gives his head to the guru and vows to serve the guru). The Gurdwaras and baptized Sikh live by a code of conduct, this code of conduct make up Sikh ethics and principals. Sikhs treat ever one fairly and equally, however there is some needed boundaries and limits. The code of conduct states that a Sikh may only marry another Sikh in the Sikh wedding ceremony that takes place in the Gurdwara. This is logical and all other faiths have the same principle, for example if I was born in Britain I would not be able to play for the brazil football team in the world cup, this doesn’t make brazil racist because all types of people are welcome to the country. In the same way there is no sense and logic in a non-Sikh having a Sikh wedding! I mean if the person is not a Sikh of the Guru and has no faith in guru Ji, why would they want a Sikh wedding. A lot of Gurdwaras are breaking the code of conduct and making a mockery out of Sikh ethics and the Sikh wedding ceremony. So if you are a Sikh and wish to marry some one who practices another faith please don’t book a Sikh wedding and make a mockery of Sikh ethics, I mean if your partner isn’t Sikh why have a Sikh wedding. Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji has stated that a Sikh should marry a Sikh.

It is very sad and at the same time very frustrating to inform the sangat, that a lot of Gurdwaras within the UK discriminate against disabled people. I regard this behavior as being very cruel and narrow minded. Nobody should be denied the darshan of sangat and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji due to their illness. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji teaches us to be kind, caring, and compassionate. Gurdwaras are meant to be a place of peace, tranquility, devotion, healing and pleasant congregation. However the doors are getting closed on some of the most venerable and weak members of our society the wheel chair bound people.

Reasons given by some Sikhs to justify their actions when carrying out this discrimination:

• The wheel chair has dirty tires, therefore it is not allowed in the darbar, as it is disrespect to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji!

• When a person sits in the darbar on a wheel chair, they at times are sitting on a higher platform then Sri Guru Granth sahib Ji, this is disrespect!

Questions that one must ask themselves:

• Can’t the wheel chair tires be cleaned with wet cloth; most people wash their feet before entering the darbar, so why can’t it be the same for a wheelchair?

• Even better why can’t the Gurdwaras provide clean wheelchairs already in the darbar, then the person can be transformed into the Gurdwara owned wheel chairs, which will be clean due to not being used on the street?

• Does the disabled person sit on the wheel chair higher than maharaj by purpose to disrespect maharaj, or are they on there out of desperation due to their illness? (just raise the level of guru ji higher, it will take 1 week of construction tops)

• Would maharaj throw a disabled person out of his darbar?

• Is their anyway of justifying, the denied access to the darbar of a disabled person?

• Does the disabled person have any bad intentions to disrespect Sri Guru Granth sahib Ji, or are they helpless due to their illness?

In conclusion I state, that this Un-Sikh like behavior needs to stop, otherwise the reputation of the Sikh community as an caring nation will be tarnished

When the Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji was put together at the times of Sri Guru Arjan dev ji, so much respect was shown to sri guru granth sahib ji. even dough gurship was still with Sri guru arjan dev ji, Sri Guru Arjan dev ji used to sit on the floor and sleep on the floor when in presence of gurbani. now the sikh times put gurbani in their newspaper like its nothing, yeah they may want to preach the message of guru ji all over, but there is a price to pay. sikh times are sold in shops where tobboaco and alcohol is served. most magazine and paper sections in shops have porn magazine or rude images and the sikh times is laying on same row etc. when sumone is reading sikh times, they aint going to treat it as a gutka sahib. they will have dirty hands and may be eating meat etc. the sikh times is placed on the floor in houses etc. in so many ways the sikh times cause the disrespect of gurbani, even if it is indirectly. i have written to them so many times, regarding this issue and havent recieved a reply, please i call to all youth to not buy the paper, until the the sikh times issue an press statement saying they have stopped including gurbani in gurkmukhi form. why cant they just use translations etc. the paper has quite indecent images, not of an pornagraphic nature, but bollywood actresses with mini skirts etc.
