Well things wont change as long as no harm comes from what modern day Sikhs do. If things get harder, Sikhs will either have to start doing things or face the consequences of their interpretation of 'hukam'.

I seen some religious sikhs they use this "hukam" concept as a scapegoat for their own shortcomings and lethargy !

Its a shame that people rely on hukam for what they cannot do !

But , I think all religions are same !

So , as per SGGS , there was no matter or energy endless eons ago . There was no universe or space . God was in his nirgun ( without attributes ) saroop . Gurbani says he was in a state of sunn samadhi , in a self absorbed joy ! I don't know what joy that may have been !

I speak on behalf of many Indian sikhs ... Majority of Sikhs in India are busy in earning their daily bread and butter and poorer one direct their efforts to become richer .

Besides , there is too much stigma attached to word "Khalistan" itself . The first thoughts that came into mind of many Sikhs in India when they hear the word Khalistan is 1984 and unrest ..

So , in short , in India no one really cares for Khalistan ..

Cos they enjoy taking on battles that they cant win and then running away in the opposite direction with their jooreh open.

To be fair, I'm not excluding myself from the potential shittar either. If I have to go down with the rest of mankind, then so be it. If Waheguru is gracious enough to save me from jootiya because he thinks I don't deserve them, then I accept that too.

The problem is, things have gone too far now. It is not enough to be an honest, hardworking and just person these days. People want a bit of masala in everything, and the most corrupt and dishonest people in the world are the one's that seem to be in positions of authority. People from the "sweat of your brow" ilk get nowhere. The balance must be restored and that can't happen with the same, bent people running things.

Wrong or right, natural or unnatural or whatever various arguments or points of view might be; the fact is that gays are discriminated against and oppressed and hated as human beings. Even if one is to disagree with that one aspect of their identity, the hate is not warranted. The discrimination is not warranted. Dehumanizing them is not warranted. We should be prepared to protect all human beings against such hate and discrimination. Only then do we have the right to agree or disagree with them.

Every third male and every tenth female student has taken drugs on one pretext or the other and seven out of 10 college-going students abuse one or the other drug, High Court told.

The secretary, on behalf of the Punjab Government, submitted that "the vibrancy of Punjab is virtually a myth.... many sell their blood to procure their daily doze of deadly drugs, even beg on the streets for money to continue their addiction... The entire Punjab is in the grip of drug hurricane which weakens the morale, physique and character of the youth. We are in the danger of losing the young generation. The vibrant Punjab that had ushered in the green revolution is today living in a dazed stupor as 67 per cent of its rural household has at least one drug addict."

More than 70% of Punjab's youth is addicted to drugs.

Glut means to flood (a market) with an excess of goods so that supply exceeds demand.

Either the Pakistani govt or Indian govt is responsible for drugs in panjab

I hate to burst bubble of a lot of people but how many of you have actually spent time in India? I spent close to 15 years in India and I can tell you that these blanket statements that an average Sikh has to hear racist remarks from average Hindus are simply not true. At least not in Punjab anyway. Most people do not want confrontation and like to live in peace. I had many Hindu friends and they had nothing but respect for Sikhs.

While I agree that there are certain elements with in that society that are hell bent on destroying Sikhi. But it is simply not true that every Hindu (as it is being implied) is out to make Sardar jokes and take a run on Sikhs. By making such statements all you are doing is inciting hatred amongst Sikhs for Hindus. That is extremely bad.

Let's try and be realistic about the facts
