The thing is that it was not my choice to marry him. My parents decided it, i was just okay with it and pressured by the situation.

Please realize that many a times, thus always, when things happen without our chioce or wish , then that is called destiny karam, so once in it, one should try  to get away with the flow of Nature in which we find ourselves; otherwise our struggles, our discomfort, will exhaust in trying to get which is not meant for us.... thus it will never happen, and so if we try to reverse the situation, we shall get drowned, means,  we shall  loose our goal from our sight, the one of reuninting ourselves with Him through His kirpa and bhakti.

What comparison has any worldly love or call it attachment, to the one with Wahiguru?

You see, while one is limited, blind,  binding and painful, the other one, the one with Him, is the one of freedom from all bhandans, bondages,  and true bliss attained.

Pen Jee, I am not trying to say neglect life or relations, but, to be mature that much, to see where you are now, and try to  just adjust yourself in those circumstances where Nature has put you, for if you do so,  then He will see it and bless you for sure, to overcome all adversities and discomforts, at the same time fill you with His kirpa and pyaar.

    Stay blessed.

    Budhi

Wisdom. He becomes a Brahm-Giani: one with the knowledge about God - a realized person. This confirms the practitioner into -

    • Bharosa - faith. A deep faith and dependence on God. A firm faith in Waheguru (God) is the first and the foremost experience of the practitioner of the Naam-Jaap. He becomes a firm believer that God is one and there is none other like Him, He is the Creator, Doer, everywhere, Omnipotent and every thingis under His will.
    • Leenta - an absolute attachment (absorption) to God.
    • Santokh - contentment (on destiny).
    • Detachment - from the dear ones and the worldly possessions.
    • Hukam - acceptance of the will of God. It is total surrender to Him.
    • Sehaj - equilibrium, equipoise.
    • Anand - perpetual delight, permanent joy.
    • Vismaad - ecstasy: Joy plus wonderment, forgetting the self.
    • Nidar - benevolence of God. He believes in the mercy of God as an instrument of his attainments, and that his own efforts mean nothing. This attitude keeps him free from ego. His efforts are needed to make him fit for the mercy of God.

     ????

The virtues mentioned above, are the outcome of true devotion, by practicing  the Truth  as per Gurbani alone.

All  such virtues and more are summarized in the following utmost beautiful Shabad :

    Pauri
    Pauree:

Ja Tu Mere Vall Hai Ta Kiya Muhchanda !!
When You are on my side, Lord, what do I need to worry about?

Tudh Sabh Kich Meno Saupiya ja Tera Banda !!
You entrusted everything to me, when I became Your slave.

Lakhmi Tott na Aaveyi Khae Kharach Rehanda !!
My wealth is inexhaustible, no matter how much I spend and consume.

Lakh Chaurasi Medni Sabh Sew Karanda !!
The 8.4 million species of beings all work to serve me.

Ae Vairi Mittar Sabh Kitiya Neh Mange Manda !!
All these enemies have become my friends, and no one wishes me ill.

Lekha Koe n Puchayi Ja Har Bakhsanda !!
No one calls me to account, since God is my forgiver.

Anand Bhaya SUKH Paya Mil Gur Govinda !!
I have become blissful, and I have found peace, meeting with the Guru, the Lord of the Universe.

Sabhe Kaaj Sawariye Ja Tudh Bhavnda !!
All my affairs have been resolved, since You are pleased with me..

  3. Pen Jee,

this is how our kaam vasnaas (panj chor) make us dance to their tunes.

First they make us prey of their amoral  force, then they make us feel guilty, they never  let us live in peace, and make a hell of our lives.

Of course, what you did is not correct, but keep in mind Wahiguru is more important than anything. If you married accordingly to sikhee, remember you made vows before Him to be faithful to your husband.

So, it does not matter much what you did in your past as long as you abide with morality  in your present life.

Remember also, bodies are just pieces of flesh, they will be left behind one day, and when you will have to account for your actions, neither your husband nor will your cousin will be there, you alone will have to account for your actions, so why blacken our faces.

It is a sin, to be unfaithful.

So refrain from it, and remove all these things from the root of your mind howsoever difficult it may be, but the thing is, to live with dignity and self respect without any remorses.

In the beginning it may cost you to get out, but with your sincere efforts, He will surely shower grace on you, to make you peaceful, here and here after.

    Stay blessed.

    Sat Sree Akal.

  4. Brother,

do take a chance to go through the paviter Bani without any rush, and try to sip and savour each boond of Amrit in it, then look and get your own quotes from the Bani, mark or save them in a document such as word for example, and then you will always have them at hand when in need for any ocassion.

In other words: Instead of waiting to get a loaf of bread from others and being dependent, learn to bake the bread by yourself, which is not that difficult at all, then you shall always have fresh baked bread at hand when needed.

    Sat Sree Akal.
