  1. To Guest Reet and Guest XYZ, I would strongly advise you to stay away from suicdal thoughts. You must bear in mind, this life and all lives are based on past karmas. So, if you end your lives, before that set of karmas are cleared, means, you carry on with them in the next life, plus you add the heavy karma of suicide on your head. That is not wise. Karmas can not be escaped nor cleared by suiciding, rather they are increased by doing so. It is like, for example you have to pay $500 hundred USA dollars, and while this amount is not paid off, you still aid $500 dollars more to that debt. This means, you are your own enemy, in the sense, you doing bad to your ownself. By this, you head direct to hell(heavy karam). Let me tell you one more thing, no matter how bad your karmas are, no matter how bad you may be going through life, in any odd circumnstances, if you ever have to die in a natural way as per destiny, just keep repeating the sweet name of Wahiguru, Wahiguru, Wahiguru.... Then what will happen? That even if your store of karmas are huge, heavy and dark, even then, His Name, will be your shelter here and hereafter. His Name will be like small sparks, more than enough, to burn the huge mountain of dry grass(karmas). Then not only that, but with His apaar kirpa, you shall get a better human birth with better conditions, to do His Bhakti with more zeal and love, thus fulfill your purpose of coming into existence, and reach His abode, Sach Khand. With each step, with each breath, just keep on doing His shukraana, and keep repeating Wahiguru, Wahiguru...and you wil be ferried across. Stay blessed. Sat Sree Akal.
  2. A man went into the confessional box after years of being away from the church. Inside he found a fully equipped bar with 'Guinness' on tap. On one wall, there was a row of decanters with fine Irish Whiskies and Waterford Crystal Glasses ... On the other wall, a dazzling array of the finest Liqueurs, Cigars and Chocolates. Then the priest came in. And the man said : "Father, forgive me for it's been a very long time since I've been to confession, but I must first admit that the confessional box is much more inviting than it used to be." The father replied : "You <banned word filter activated>, you're on my side."
  3. *Become a true prayer.* *The pseudo prayer is very prevalent because it is cheap, it costs nothing.* *The true prayer demands much from you. It demands surrender, it demands a state of let-go.* *The false prayer is parrot like: you simply repeat a certain formula given to you by the priests, by the parents, by the society, and you go on repeating it every night. It becomes only a habit.* *If you don't repeat it you feel you are missing something. But although you go on repeating it for years you never get anything out of it.* *When you don't do it, the feeling certainly arises that you are missing something, because an old pattern is not fulfilled and mind is very mechanical.* *If you miss anything, the mind goes on goading you: Do it! The mind feels completely at ease if everything goes ritualistically.* *The mind is very ritualistic and all the religions have become ritualistic because of the mind, the domination of the mind.* *True religion is not a ritual. It is a feeling, it is love.* *Prayer is not something that you can do; it is something that you can be.* *Prayer is not an act but a state of being.* *It simply means to be so utterly silent that God can speak to you.* *The untrue prayer means that you speak to God; the true prayer means that you listen to God. The difference is tremendous.*
  4. In 1881, a professor asked his student whether it was God who created everything that exists in the universe? Student replied: Yes He again asked: What about evil? Has God created evil also? The student got silent... Then the student requested that may he ask a question from him? Professor allowed him to do so. Student asked: Does cold exist? Professor said: Yes! Don't you feel the cold dear? Student said: I'm sorry but you are wrong sir. Cold is a complete absence of heat... There is no cold, it is only an absence of heat. Student asked again: Does darkness exist? Professor Said: Yes! Student replied: you are again wrong sir. There is no such thing like darkness. It's actually the absence of light. Sir! We always study light & heat, but not cold & darkness. Similarly, the evil does not exist. Actually it is the absence of Love, Faith & True belief in God. The name of the student was... Vivekananda...!!!
  5. Funny side of Swami Vivekananda. When Swami Vivekanand was studying law at the University College, London, a white professor, whose last name was Peters, disliked him intensely. One day, Mr. Peters was having lunch at the dining room when vivekananda came along with his tray and sat next to the professor. The professor said, "Mr Vivekanand , you do not understand, *a pig and a bird do not sit together to eat.*" Vivekanandji looked at him as a parent would a rude child and calmly replied, *"You do not worry professor. I'll fly away,"* and he went and sat at another table. Mr. Peters, reddened with rage, decided to take revenge. The next day in Class he posed the following question: "Mr.Vivekanand , if you were walking down the street and found a package, and within was a bag of wisdom and another bag with money, which one would you take ?" Without hesitating, Vivekanandji responded, "The one with the money, of course." Mr. Peters , smiling sarcastically said, "I, in your place, would have taken the wisdom." Swami Vivekanand shrugged and responded, *"Each one takes what he doesn't have."* Mr. Peters, by this time was fit to be tied. So great was his anger that he wrote on Swami Vivekanand's exam sheet the word "<banned word filter activated>" and gave it to Swami Vivekanand. Vivekanandji took the exam sheet and sat down at his desk trying very hard to remain calm while he contemplated his next move. A few minutes later, Swami Vivekanand got up, went to the professor and told him in a dignified polite tone, "Mr. Peters, *you signed the sheet*, but you did not give me the grade
  6. Logic says, it could be better as you suggested. Thanks.
  7. Mangement and undermangement A king had 10 wild dogs. He used them to torture and kill any minister that misguided him. A minister once gave an opinion which was wrong and which the king didn’t like at all… So he ordered that the minister to be thrown to the dogs. The minister said, "I served you loyally 10 years and you do this..? The king was unrelenting. Minister pleaded"Please give me 10 days before you throw me to the dogs" The king agreed. In those 10 days the minister went to the keeper of the dogs and told him he wanted to serve the dogs for the next 10 days… The guard was baffled… But he agreed. So the minister started feeding the dogs, caring for them, washing them, providing all sorts of comfort for them. So when the 10 days were up… The king ordered that the minister be thrown to the dogs as sentenced . When he was thrown in, everyone was amazed at what they saw.. The dogs were wagging their tails playing with the condemned minister..licking his feet. The king was baffled at what he saw. ” what happened to the dogs? !!!” He growled. The minister then said;” I served the dogs for only 10 days and they didn’t forget my service… Yet I served you for 10 years and you forgot all at the first mistake!”… The king realised his mistake and replaced the dogs? with crocodiles ?!! Moral : When Management has decided ki tumhaari bajaani hai, toh bajaani hi hai ...that's final..

  9. Higher Deeper Beyond... Staying close to fire keeps you warm. Walking through fresh breeze, you feel refreshed. Being in running water you feel clean. Stay long enough in a rose garden and you start smelling like a rose. You inherit the traits of what you are connected to. Similarly, when you are deeply connected to God, you feel purified. In your thoughts, in your feelings and in your consciousness, you feel so pure. The drop of water falls into the ocean and becomes the ocean. You dissolve and you evolve. You disappear and God appears. In all, by being deeply connected to God, experience after experience, you experience the Higher, Deeper and the Beyond dimensions of life.
  10. ATTITUDE AND KARAM 1. Often we hear the line – “We choose our birth, our family members and all the situations that are going to come in our life to learn our lessons.” Choose does not mean we make a selection. If we could choose, we would never choose problems, disease or difficult relationships. 2. Choose our birth and destiny means when we performed our karmas in the previous lives, we chose the karma and thereby chose its consequence. Everything that is going to happen to us in this life is therefore chosen by us when we chose our karmas earlier. 3. When the consequences come to us in this birth, if we respond through the same negative sanskars like we did last time, it means the same sanskar will get re-enforced. We see same patterns of problems repeating in our life, it is because we are responding through the same sanskar. 4. ‘Learning our lessons’ means this time if we respond to the situation through a positive sanskar, then the similar pattern of problems in life will stop. Suppose we carry a sanskar of rejection, then we feel rejected in relationships till we learn our lesson, that means change the sanskar. Then we will not feel rejected irrespective of the other’s behaviour.
  11. AWAKENING..BEING DIVINE 1. Every thought we create, word and behaviour leaves an impression on the soul. This is like a recording on a CD. We need to be aware of our recordings which are uncomfortable for us, or for those around us, and then start creating a new beautiful recording. 2. Situations may not be pleasant, people’s behaviour towards us may not be nice - the only choice we have is what thought we create in response to them. Our thoughts and behaviours will become our recording and will influence our destiny in this birth and future births. 3. We sometimes create thoughts like – “they rejected me; they do not love me or respect me; I care for everyone but no one cares for me. ” These thoughts become our recording. We carry the same sanskar in the next birth and feel rejected even though situations and people are nice to us. 4. People’s behaviour towards us is a reflection of THEIR personality. If someone is abusive, critical, aggressive, manipulative - they are not insulting us; they are bringing their sanskar into action. When we remember this, we will not get hurt and the recording we create will be of compassion, not pain and rejection.
  12. PRECAUTIONS WHILE VOMITING A 16 year old boy recently died. He and his brother were sleeping in the same room. Late night he got up to vomit. His brother said he held his hand to his mouth and went to the bathroom. After vomiting, he complained of difficulty in breathing. Later died. Now it has been declared by Doctor that he held on to his vomit till he reached the toilet in order to not to spoil the bed or carpet, and that's what choked him. The vomit went straight into his wind pipe & the breathing tract. So, we should let kids puke wherever they want, and then go to the bathroom. We should never force them to hold on to their vomit till they reach the bathroom. The carpet can always be washed, but we cannot get a child back.
  13. Sister, if the children of those parents think or believe as you say, then, it is the moral duty of the children to lovingly bring out that situation and tell their opinions to improve it. There are quite a few cases, where parents are as good as children, and children are as good as adults, in correct thinking. But the main thing at all times, is to keep harmony among the family, and for that reason, there sholud also be a good communication between all the family members. Sat Sree Akal.
  14. ATTITUDE MATTERS An old man said: erasers are for those, who make mistakes. A youth replies: erasers are for those who are willing to correct their mistake.
  15. SIMPLE MATHS 2get and 2give creates many problems. So, just double it, 4get and4give, solves many problems.
  16. May I ask you some questions? According to your understanding: How is that path? Has it got some sign posts and in which languages? What is it made of? Who travels on it? Are there traffic officers, discrminating people to go through different highways or roads, according to their race, dharam, mazab, color of skin? Can we see large crowds going somewhere? What attires or uniforms one has to wear, in order to walk on it? If there are so many paths according to so many different religions, there must be different buildings, views, sceneries, and so on ..... how do they look like? What days of the week or year, is the traffic most horrible? Are there any stops to halt and go to restrooms, or have food? What is the path/road that takes one to God? Where does it start, what exists in the middle, and where does it finish? Please answer at the best of your ability, or, anyone else may participate if so wished. Thank you. Sat Sree Akal.
  17. Guest Female Jee, as long as you are not separated or divorced, please refrain from lustful thoughts. I understand, that to an extent, the body has some needs, like eating, sleeping and sex in normal conditions within marriage. Personally, I beleive the 99.99 whole world is under the nashaa of lust, nobody is out of it. And is a very pitiful scene. Then also, we are not like cats or dogs, who go with any first second or third persons, and so on to satisfy our excess of lust ... If we fall into this chakar, we are sure to degrade ourselves at beast levels, though we may have human form... It is time to change your attitude and thinking while facing this unpleasnt situation. Pray sincerely to Wahiguru and keep insisting at His Feet, to help you and show you the way with His Light. People indulge in kaam, as something normal, but the fact is, they are not aware of the heavy karam they are putting on their heads. Instead, turn you negative conditions, into positivity, by clinging on our Sachya Patshah Wahiguru Akal Purukh, through His Simran. The Bani says: Prabh ka Simran, man kee mael jaae. You see, all vikars are pollution product of the mind, which can only be washed by His Grace. Guru Jee is present with us, through His bachans. It is for us to take shelter in Them and get the love and help needed, without any other motivation, except for True love at His Lotus Feet. Stay blessed. Sat Sree Akal.
  18. First of all Sach Khand is where Wahiguru Akal Purukh, has His permanent residence, that is why the Bani says: Sach Khand vasay Nirankar. And there apart from Wahiguru in His Shabad or Naam swaroop, nothing, nobody exists. There are no people, only He. He is like an Infinte Ocean, where if any drop(soul) reaches by His Grace only, becomes one with the Ocean, without any distinction. Below Sach Khand, there are infinite universes, khands, brahmands, heavens, skies, celestial paradises, abodes of gods, godesses, angels and so on ...may it be Baikunt though... In all these places and others one may see others, because the mind is still there, thus variety. But there in Sach Khand, there is no such maya or mind, only One Supreme Being, Wahiguru Akal Purukh. There in Sach Khand, only Bliss(true permanent happiness) and Jot of Wahiguru exists, and thus, the soul is merged in ecstasy in Naam, and lives by continuous drinking the Amrit of Naam. Sat Sree Akal.
  19. Is Krishna The Most Supreme God Worshipped In Guru Granth Sahib Also ? No, he isn´t. For if he was so, First Patshahee would have said : Ik Oankar, Krishna. And we all know, what He said. He said at the very begining of the Bani : Ik Oankar Satnam. Means, there is only one Lord, Satnam. Satnam is a word composed by 2 syllabels, which are Sat and Nam. SAT, means Supreme Truth, that which is permanent, eternal, and changeless under any circumstances, irrespective of the parameters of time and space; and that Power, that energy, that level of Consciousness, which is Sat, that is known and named by Guru Jee as : NAM. The rest of the qualities of this Primal Being, Nam, are described by Sachay Patshah Dhan Dhan Satguru Nanak Dev Maharaj, from the second verse onwards of the mool mantar. Sat Sree Akal.
  20. The best way is to be an example by ourselves to them in a natural manner, without fanaticism or blind faith, means, whatever we do, we must have logic answers to them if asked, they do not like to listen, that we do it because we have seen others, or our parents doing so. They should be made known about the treasure of true spirituality which is contained in the Bani, which is all Sikhee is about, then they will not go anywhere, cause they may have friends of different dharams, but nowhere will they ever get, the Gurparsad got in Sikhee, if put into practice, the devotion as per instructions of Guru Jee. Also they should know or be made aware, that we are not the body, but the Jot of wahiguru in us as jeevas, and while living and respecting the laws of nature, in order to not incurr in more karmas, at the same time, do His Bhajan bandagee with love and devotion, to become pure paviter and merge in Him. Then after all this said, ultimately it is His mauj what will happen, but if we do what He likes, there is no option, and He is bound to shower His blessings on us. Sat Sree Akal.
  21. Brother I will alawys say, do not pay any attention if any entity appears, maybe gods, godesses, or prophets may appear and say, come we will guide you.... You just ignore all this stuff, and continue non stop with your simran, cause we are to merge only in Wahiguru, and it is this very Simran alone, which can ever fulfill this our purpsose. The Bani beautifully and in simple words tells us: Jin Har japeeya se Har hoeeya. This is the key of our union with Him. Third Patshahee tells us in Anand Sahib : Naam jiskay man vasseya, vajeh Shabad ganere. This means, once our mind is stilled and filled up with his Simran, then the Shabad, the Naam, gets "pargat" within us. It is then only, we can see the Jot of Wahiguru, and be pure enough to hear that Anhad Shabad within us. No matter how many other tricks, methods, manmat, or our own additions as seen and heard of what others do, but ultimately, it is the Sat Bachan of Guru Jee alone, which is to attract His Daya Meher on us, and thus, our merging in Him. Sat Sree Akal. P.S: May His blessings be upon you, so you may go further and farther...
  22. Nice post Preeet Pen Jee. Congrats. From your post, the highlighted sentence, is the key, for firstly self realization, and secondly God realization. This is the unique beauty and real value of Sikhee. Sat Sree Akal.
  23. For sure you are progessing. Do not ever think, it is happening just like that. For this blessed moment, 2 things are required. One is His Grace, and the second one is, one´s determination and faith in doing His bandagee, regularly, without caring for whether one feels, one is progressing or not. Gurmat has no failures. The thing is, each one has a different thickness of the mountain of karmas to drill and go through. Each second of our bhakti, is put into our account, not even one, goes in waste. So, we should never feel disheartened, whether we see progress or not, progress is still there. If we stop doing bhajan bandagee, then we ourselves are an obstacle in our way. Persist, persist and persist in bhakti, one day we shall definetely meet our beloved Wahiguru Akal Purukh. He puts the seed of love for Him in us, then we water it everyday with bhakti, and the result is, we taste Amrit, we are transported to His abode, and there, merge in Him, like a river into the sea.. Sat Sree Akal.
