  1. I cant believe my eyes and what i have just read. We as a religion are supposed to be tolerant and forgiving. HELLO, wake up and smell the coffee, we are in the 21st Century now, not in the post Darwinian era of developing our brains and thought patters. I live in a predominantly Muslim and Sikh area and in my 25 years of living here have not heard of a single case of Sikh girls being 'groomed' by Muslims. This is utter madness and insecurity on behalf of those peddling these ideas. Maybe they are jealous that they cant get a girlfriend, and it hurts even more when they see a Sikh girl with a Muslim guy. Tell me Singh, do you feel the same when you see a Sikh girl with a White or Hindu person. I expect not. this is Islama-phobia which has been going on for centuries and has been passed down from generation to generation. My own parents were very careful in pointing out that what happened between the Sikhs during the Mughal era and the subsequent partition should bear no part in how we view Muslims today. Take each one on a individual basis without prejudging or bias. I often come onto this site to see what is happening in the world of Sikhism today and on the whole am pleased to see a progressive and intelligent bunch of people, but occasionally i read something like this 'tosh' and it makes me fear that we are still stuck in the dark ages. There is no 'grooming' of Sikh girls, its just a term that has been carried on from other forms of 'grooming' which i dont want to get into, to justify paranoia and divert our own insecurities and hatred towards someone who is embedded in our psychy as being an enemy and someone we cant trust. If a Sikh boy or girl wants to have a relationship with a person from another religion, that is their choice. If they feel they want to change their faith, that is also their choice. Trust me, no one can force anyone to change their faith. If their belief in their faith was not strong enough and they feel more comfortable with another faith, that is their choice. We often hear stories about what terrible things the Muslims did during the partition, delve a little deeper into the archives and take of the blinkers and you will find that we the Sikhs were no shrinking violets during that episode. I am very disappointed at this thread. Wont be visiting this site again.

  3. Fellow Brothers and sisters. What do the Sikh scriptures say about theft? what is the punishment in the afterlife? Do people who steal go to hell and are in eternal misery paying for their actions?
