The five thieves cannot survive alone, they live in conjunction with each other... They need the ego(mind) to survive. Once the mind(ego) is eradicated, they disappear and as the mind is the only thing that keeps us from realisation, once entanglements(attachments) are cast off, we realise Him:

Mohi jam dand na lāg▫ī ṯajīle sarab janjāl. ||3||

The club of the Messenger of Death shall not strike me, since I have cast off all entanglements. ||3||

He is what we all really want, maya is just an illusion. Most people live in ignorance- This is what guruji was saying when he said the whole world is deluded- every single moment without god is painful, the people of earth run around living their daily 'lives', becoming darker and darker and more involved with each other in the darkness of attachment.

Then comes the anger, the lust and desire for others, the jealousy(every jealous thought feeds this theif weather it be envy of comeones house, clothes, looks, relationship etc) and the greed which is apparent in every moment lived without contemplating the lord. These theives all work in relation to each other, in self indulgence(greed), the lust arises as does the anger and ego and attachment. This is what the people assume as Normality. To the gurmukh, we are a bunch of depressed nutjobs.

So of course you cry when you read the words of gurbani, you want freedom from this bulls**t and mental illness that the world is suffering. Can you imagine a life never having to feel angry, greedy, jealous, lustful or attached to any dark being of earth? And not pretending to be happy when really you are living in slavery to these dark feelings(thieves.)

We have in reality, never felt happiness- we have been in incredible pain since the day of our birth......

Happiness is the state of the self realied Gurmukh- and bhagti is the way to get there....

I don't know why such gurdwara are named 'Guru Ravidass' because he was a bhagat not Guru. I think people from a ravidassia background want to fit in and because bhagat ravidass' was from a chamar background they use that to open gurdware after him. I think they don't say Guru maneyo Granth in the ardas and they have their own jaikara the reason I know this is because I attended an akhand paat and it was at the guru ravidass gurdwara in soho road Birmingham.

Yes he was a Guru, he was a Brahmgyani- a Brahmgyani and Guru are one in the same, no different to god as describes in Sukhmani Sahib- God makes the world for his brahmgyanis and they rule the entire universe...

No it doesn't- Yes All is Him, But to discover himself/this he sat through millions of ages- He discovered himself to be Truth. Truth is Nirboah and Nirvair, Beyond Image, Beyond Death, All pervading- The frequency of a balanced gyan that lives to discover while remaining detached from the nashas of the highs and lows(the light of truth in form(image) and the darkness of ignorance) that applies across a universal spectrum.....

For us to realise Him/Truth- we need to know his qualities just as he Discovered them Himself, or there would be no point in living.....We are here for the sole reason of discovering Him/ the Gyan he discovered to realise himself, we are following in His footsteps, realising who we truly are- Really we are Him discovering himself all over again through Us- He wished to share his discovery with another, so here we are, drops in His ocean...

We need this to go back to/ realise the Balance, which is Him in His true form (No image, beyond the highs and lows(pleasure and pain) in a state of Nothingness). Without physically applying and realising the gyan of Gurbani, we are simply ignorant/full of darkness, and without going into Samadhi(the state He is in- but he is in the deepest state), we cannot get past the image, even of truth in the form of light, darshans etc...

If bani is Guru and Guru is Bani, the gyan is Him, He himself is the teacher of the gyan- Yes he is everything but Gurbani and gyan is there for us to apply it and physically realise it ourselves so as to merge with Him/Truth, for it is only in ignorance(5 theives) and attachment(still one of the thieves-i.e attachment) to image that we percieve ourselves to be seperate from Him....

I am very ashamed telling that I have not been keeping my rehet seriously which includes: no amritwela, no nitnem, no respect for kakaars, no naam no bani, no carefulness while eating at outside places, remain indulged in maya and padarath and vikaars. This is the worst that possibly cud happen to someone. It is like I am amritdhari only because I am wearing a SRI SAHIB nothing inside, no pyaar or shardha or fear of maharaj for not following rehet. No inner desire of seva and simran. Knowing everything that this is wrong and this is what i shud not do I have been doing these things. I can tell my self ok now u cannot do this and u have to wake up early and do ur nitnem but i am not being able to do that. Amritwela will take time but I want to start the basic things like nitnem and I need mind shaking advice. You all can say whatever bad words you want to say to me for doing all above mistakes. and advice me to start it all over so I do not mess up in my life again.

My schedule is wake up at 5:45am because it takes me 2.5 hrs to get to my work. so i have this 2.5 hrs travelling time in bus/trains where i cannot really concentrate and keep falling asleep if i start nitnem. and same on my way back to home. I reach home at 8pm.

so please someone guru ka pyara help me like his own brother to manage my day according to gurmat.

My friend, do not just read Nitnem- Apply it physically to your life...

Embark on the path of bhagti, for this is how Brahmgyanis are made- this is the aim of our lives and our birthright- so take it.

Clean yourself and mind from within, no point in taking amrit and showing the world you are pure when you are not- that is the guilt you are feeling. Guru ji says we can take as many cleansing baths as we like but can still have alot of sh**t inside (Kalyugis are literally full of it), some of our bhagats did not even wear a pagh yet were immaculate within- that is a message of Truth, that it is the inside that must be pure....

Naam simran- attuning oneself to the frequency of God/Truth- the balanced gyan that applies across a universal spectrum is key- attuned to it, you live in truth and with each discovery you make when in truth, your frequency becomes finer and finer and more aware. Pure Truth is what God realised himself to be after many ages and he wished to share it with others- hence he discovers through us....

3 years ago, after being paralysed, beaten, levitated and almost kidnapped and tormented by demons at night I had an important darshan of The most reverred Satguru Nanak Dev Ji...

This was not the first I had had, I had recognised him as my saviour since the age of 3yrs when I would call on him and he would appear in white light and the fear of the Kal would leave.

The next 17 yrs of my life I had many darshans and many of my beloved Satguru Nanak where he would come(while awake) and get rid of demons in my room who were trying to kidnap and levitate me, with the beautiful vibrant blue lights that came out of his eyes and the waterfall of white light that the angels of Sachkandh threw down into my room- I saw him in a gurdwarra in Sachkandh where my heart stopped upon seeing him. His Virtues are such that amrit poured out of his eyes even in pictures. I loved Him and still do.

This time I called on him while being attacked, he came in white light and the most beautiful(worldly language could not describe his beauty), loving, happy presence.

The importance was that He gave me naam. He said, say 'Satnam' and that he would be there.

Since this, I have been doing bhagti and the rewards have been beyond belief, the gyan came from nowhere and once the darshans stopped and I realised the siddhis I had gained were not important as the God lives in no image and is found through the nothingness(Samadhi is required)- the discoveries continued and still do...

Waheguru simran led to me being blessed with 'Satnam' from the mouth of God Himself and on practicing this naam the bhagti sped up times a trillion and more. Satnam is Truth, it is the frequency of God, of what he discovered himself to be. It is of a balanced gyan that applies across a universal spectrum that lives to discover while remaining detached from the nasha of the discover, be it a high or low. Attuned to this frequency one not only discovers truth, they begin to become it, the frequency gets finer and finer with each discovery.

Noone is punished for saying Satnam, it is in the first line of the mool mantar and desbribed as the Mahamantar which takes us across the suffering world ocean in Sri sarbloh Granth- it is named the perfcet primal name by the Gurus themselves and as the True name by Bhai Gurdas Ji- how is reciting a naam(Truth) described as such by God himself (Gurus) confusing a population of Truth Seekers.

The deluded in ego will always claim to be right, but the Gyan of Gurbani is Truth itself, so who cares what a bunch of people say....Akal Takht is corrupt, it's leaders are corrupt and have been for years, sikhi has been tampered with by a bunch of fools who read the gyan and expanded it by twisting it to meet their own criteria, needs and wants, they soiled Truth with the excretement of logic(mind/ ego/ worldly knowledge)...

Logic, falsity and ego will never outweigh Truth, Truth is beyond words, beyond ego, beyond image and form- beyond worldly conceptions and logic- i.e beyond the ego/ mind and all it knows. The heart contemplates Truth, not the mind, because the scum of the mind is what got us into Kalyug in the first place- he Lives in Nothingness- That is the Truth.

If gurbani states that Tuth is His Name in the very second line of Gurbani why do the people not accept it rather than live to the complication of ego and logic (Maya/ illusion)?

Although you talk in third person I'm sensing abit of attitude, which is okay, I'm used to that, I get that you wish to stir my emotions- but key to sikhi and gurbani is to remain calm and psychologically sound in all circumstances, hence the reason the Gurus and bhagats were able to accept matyrdom and remain in this state of bliss- another state of conciousness that mere mortals cannot comprehend...

This all wasn't me trying to come across superior or win any arguments, if I wanted to do that I would have disclosed my real name- but that would be ego/mind which is what seperates us from Him.. I was simply stating the Truth which I love talking about and spreading- why would I stop when it's bringing me so much shaanti...

No Satnam means: Truth IS His Name

It is written in the very first line of gurbani for a reason. But this is all His Hukam- ignornace is the opposite of truth, hence we discover what is needed to eradicate the false. What and who else could eradicate the falsness(illusion) of maya? Only the One Named Truth.

'Waheguru' praises the lord, calling Him Great.

Satnaam(Truth is His name) is the very embodiment of that great lord for it is Truth and Only Truth (Bani/Truth is Guru and Guru is Bani) that can eradicate ignorance(maya illusion). He sat for ages discovering himself, and when he did he realised himself as Pure Truth (puran Sat).

Ever heard of the stories of brahmgyanis who have heard chanting of 'Sat' in sachkandh? This is no cooincidence.

Dustofsaints seems to be petrified of the image. Satan is mentioned in Gurbani veera. But we have our own Satan within us, Guru Saab said even the most evil person has the spirit of Waheguru within them.

The five vices are a form of Satan.

Lol, petrified, no in all Truth, it takes alot more than that to scare me at this moment. I have already stated the fact that god is all, what is there to be afraid of when parbrahm ji is everywhere. What I am trying to say is best summed up by this:

They know not the essence of devotion (attributes of God), ever in Satan's company living.

Although even satan is god, he represents the darkness of ignorance(negativity) which is also the root of the 5 thieves. In symbolic image(all imagery in the world), Truth(Opposite of ignorance) looks like light, and ignorance looks like darkness.

On the path of bhagti, one steers clear of negativity(darkness/ignorance) as much as possible until attaining realisation. Once the lord is realised(physically realised by applying gurbani properly to ones life ie- truly knowing and experiencing the essence of devotion, not just reading it) satans influence is no longer there as he is expereienced in his true form(nothingness/ no image or form- the state of god).

Until Actual realisation we are just ignorant fools steadily working our way up the path of bhagti, deluded by maya and satan(negative force). Satans form and negativity is just really symbolic imagery as we all are- for we truly have no form, only Truth exists....

P.s I never asked you to change yoru picture, I was just wondering whatever possessed you to choose a picture of such a manmat being and call it a Saint when everything it represents is the anithesis of what gurbani describes as a saint/ Brahmgyani.

We're not stupid, of course anything can happen but i think nyung was probably trying to see what kind path sikhs will be on in 50 years regarding the current state now.

Lol and I'm saying who knows? Most sikhs now are only sikhs by name, not in action. The majority have gone down hill in the last few hundred years(all according to His hukam), but we have some gems who have become bhagats and are steadily rising and walking the path to becoming brahmgyanis. They are the teachers and associations we need in the future.

What do you think will happen to sikhs in 50 years time.

Who can tell what will be in the future? Only God.

We could be all be killed in a nuclear bomb or martyred in a war, half of us might become brahmgyanis, our skin could turn blue and we could fly off in flying saucers...the future is truly unreadable to our simple manmukh minds.
