  1. Dear Bhajneet Ji, I am not getting the clear idea of what you are trying to say, Please my dear brother just explain your view point in bit more details. Dear Smart Singh Ji, I never said to ignore the Science and your comments (“but to ignore science is to ignore reason”) some how imply that I am hinting toward that. All I have said that there are other ways to look at things, not always you can see from Science, Some things are not area of Science as, Love, affection and devotion.. If I have missed something then please point out my comments where I have implied that , I do and can make many mistake so please just indicate that to me. Thanks Kulwinder Singh
  2. Dear Khalsa123 Ji. Educate your parents. Most people are able to see the merits of Sikhism. I will be very surprised if they don’t understand where you coming from. Be more nicer then you are, Forgive everybody and stay humble and mean it. At the same time try to learn and educate your near and dear ones with mild healthy discussions. Never loose the temper or disrespect anybody even if they do it to you. Mother fathers are valuable so are the siblings and friends, so don’t forget to value them , yes they can be ignorant and lack understanding but that is not a reason you should become hostile to them. Slow and steady education will do wonders. If you have any particular issue then don’t hesitate to contact me via email You seems wise enough to handle most of the things. But help is available if required to deal with any particular issue. So dear Ji don’t lose heart , stay in Chardi Kala and think it is an education for you and your surroundings. So enjoy the learning process you will come out as refined person once you have gone through these tough and long uncomfortable times. Feel free to email me in any case. Don’t let the negative feeling grow inside you about your family, they just have not realised what is right yet, so their crime is not a crime. They are guilty of not knowing that’s all. Rest is just side effects of it. So as I said be kind and stay kind it will work. Thanks Kulwinder Singh
  3. Dear Bhajneet ji and Parwinder Singh ji God did not make us with cloths, but we do wear them , so these kind of arguments are emotional and sentimental but they don’t come near the Valid reason which is, it is a stamp of Guru Sahib and this seal of Guru is more worth then any other argument. It is not essential that every thing we do in life have to be just fit with the science. Love, affection and devotion are not concepts of Science they are human needs and attributes so don’t just try to see things from one angle, Neither Sikhism nor life is one dimensional there are many dimensions and point of views you can see things to have just one view of purely science will be a great mistake for anybody to make. Thanks and bul chuck maf. Kulwinder Singh
  4. Dear Khalsa123 Ji, There is no, absolute no conflict between Science and Sikhism. You have said hairs are made up of dead skin but have look at the another site on the net and it explain in bit different way. As:::::::::: A Hair is basically composed of a structural protein called keratin which is also a constituent of our nails and the outer layer of our skin. Each strand of hair consists of three layers: • Innermost core known as medulla found only in mature thick hair • The middle layer or the cortex, the main body of the hair which besides providing the colour and texture; provides strength to hair • The outermost colour less layer or cuticle, the main function of which is to protects the cortex. Above is taken from: more information is details info is available on the site http://www.hairtransplantadvice.com/biolog...ir-follicle.php Also have a look when science actually look for God’s particles it is bit off the track but have a look. Storing CERN's Search for God (Particles) http://hardware.slashdot.org/article.pl?si...22&from=rss http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4229545.stm I don’t know what book you have read but there are other ways to explain the scientific facts about hairs. Some lotions make hair grow faster , does not sound like increasing the dead things in body. Some Vitamins can make your hair shine better. Too. These are just few things I have listed , there are number of things which can be said about hairs. On the topic of hair : for a Sikh. In Sikhism hairs on the head are the stamp of Guru Sahib, i.e. it is an identity, there are other arguments in favour of importance of Hair, But for a Sikh the most important and valid one is that it is a one of the Signature of Guru Sahib on a Sikh to identified from outlook that this particular person belong to Sikh Guru Sahib. No other arguments are required for a Sikh to grow hair. That is the end of the matter as far as a Sikh is concerned , yes other arguments are out their but they are just complementary the main and only valid reason is that Your Guru want you to have long hair on the head and that is the end of story for a Sikh.. I hope that clear things a bit for you, now you can search on what is the importance of Signature/stamp/Seal have in our universe. If you have any other doubt then let me know , either on the forum or send me an email. God bless you my dear. Kulwinder Singh
  5. Dear talikhaak Ji many thanks for you kind words. I will try.
  6. My Dear Vir Akritghan Ji ( I am just addressing you with your chosen name I don’t think for 1 micro second that you are Akritghan at all, I believe you are quite the opposite of it), You pierced my heart with 100% true statement. Of course Guru Granth Sahib ji is our leader in every walk of life. Apologies for not writing correctly. Please read my comment “Of course we don’t have a good leader right now” as modified to Of course we don’t have a Sikh as our good leader ( who most of Sikhs agree with) in person to interface with world to address our issues and issues concerning humanity. My point is related to the need for a good political and social leader in human form,. Guru Granth Sahib ji is of course Pathshaw of Pathshaws. Just our community don’t take a lead from Guru Granth Sahib, if we did then it would be fantastic. But In the present time there is a need for a great political leader who can address our social and political issues. I agree with you but I also hope you get the main thinking behind my post. Thanks Kulsin
  7. Dear Bhajneet ji, --------------Though your pride in your religion is admirable, some truths don't have a language or script.---------------------- You are 100% right on this ------------------God is truth. I'm sure God can inspire manmukhs like me through various methods. -------------------- Your sentiments are 100% right and I sure you are a wise person who is also humble. Vir Ji I never said that apart from Reading Guru Granth Sahib in Gurmukhi and doing Vichar nothing can inspire anybody. My comments about light years away from that. I said “learn Gurmukhi and other Indian language and do Vichar on Guru Granth Sahib ji's updesh ( word of wisdom) you will be inspired for sure.” It is saying that if you do as I said above then it is Sure that you will get inspired, and if you don’t then I don’t think anything else will inspire that person as I belive that once somebody have understood Guru Granth Sahib ji they will 100% surely will fall in love with Guru Sahib and nothing inspire better then Love. Which is very different from what you seems to imply that some how I have said there is no other way to be inspired. Dear Bhajneet ji, Napoleon got inspired looking at a spider. Bhagat Puran got inspired by looking at an ant walking on the Hot Piller. I once heard from Late Sant Singh Maskin Ji that Rabinder Nath Tagor once saw a animal Dung in a bright day light when rays of Sun was making the dung shine and Rabinder Nath Tagor could not contain himself with Joy of looking at the bright sun rays flashing in the fresh animal dung and he keep on saying , I have understood now how a GOD can be in even an evil person but still not get tainted by the evilness of the person as he saw that rays of sun was making this animal dung shine but the rays was not getting dirty. Thanks Kulsin.
  8. 2desi Ji, Thanks for very valuable post. I feel you are Sikh with a very fine heart and great love for Guru Sahib ji, and I am genuinely touched by that. Vir Ji , Those who realised GOD even in the time of Guru Sahib they were Virlay ( rare) as I am sure you are aware of it. Some how we have bad Sikhs now is not right, only need to check the history of last 30 years and you can see for yourself how many gave everything for the principles of Sikhi. So when somebody say some how old time Sikh were on whole better then the current Sikhs, I don’t think it is fair statement. Sikhi is not diminishing, We have more Sikhs in the world right now then ever before. What we have is that Sikhism comparatively in his teen age and as you know teen age is a age of unsettling times and experimentations. But the Sprit of Sikhi is still as it was on the days when Guru Gobind Singh Ji was him self directing Sikhs in person. Of course we don’t have a good leader right now but the Sprit of Sikhi is well robust. It is a nostalgia in human nature to say the past was good and present is not so good. Their were Sikhs in Guru Gobind Singh’s time too who disobey the Guru Sahib and these Sikhs were also the same Sikhs who on other times gave their life on one indication of Guru Sahib ji, So Human beings are full of faults and contradictions, When these Sikhs made mistakes and did not obeyed Guru Sahib, Guru Sahib did not say to them that from now onwards you are not my Sikhs. Of course they were not very good Sikhs but they were not outcasted by Guru Sahib. When I said one Hukamnama can eliminate 90% of the Sikhs it was a hypothetical sarcasm. Guru Sahib himself said many times that Great Gurusikhs are rare, now if you going to set the standard as a model Sikh should be and declare all others as non Sikhs, the answer is clear to you , me and everybody who read this will be completely against the Gurmat, when Guru Sahib say that I am Sinner oh GOD save me with your kindness then how come Guru’s Sikhs can raise the bar so high to accept somebody as Sikhs that 90% can fail , Do you really think that is what Guru Sahib’s wishes are ? ( by the way above reference to history is given on the basis of after the war Guru Sahib asked few Sikhs to do the final rights of the dead according to their religion and few Sikhs even burnt the bodies of some Muslims, Guru Sahib was well upset about this and he used really harsh words to show his disapproval of this bad act of some Sikhs, Also their were many Sikhs in the Guru Sahib’s army who were not Amritdhari even after encouragement was given to them by many people . ) We don’t have good leader , and we don’t want to make decisions based on common sense, we want to ignore the history , we don’t want to take Guru Granth Sahib’s advise, we can not accept others , We just get temperamental on little issues and have no tolerance for anybody who says anything different from us even when the arguments are based on Gurbani we don’t want to change our stands as Some Joe Blog Said something mean much more then Guru Granth Sahib’s words. Embrace the world, and World will fall in love with you ( because Guru Sahib’s updesh is so great that you can not help yourself and just fall in love). Be a narrow minded and world will say their Guru must be narrow minded. I let you make the decision for yourself. Thanks Kulsin.
  9. Their is no better Inspiration then Guru Granth Sahib ji, if that don’t inspire somebody who read it in Gurmukhi and then do Vichar on it. Then I don’t think anything else can inspire that person. So learn Gurmukhi and other Indian language and do Vichar on Guru Granth Sahib ji's updesh ( word of wisdom) you will be inspired for sure.
  10. Very constructive suggestions ! 1 what are the objective of this ? then ask yourself five question a . is it practical? b. is it right ? c. any counter effects of it? d. Do we need this? e. would this benefit the Sikhs ? ====================================== Answers: 1 Think objectively what do you want to achieve Stop the anti Gurmat things in the Gurdwares ==>>>> quite a good mission. then ask yourself five question a . is it practical? 90% of Sikhs in UK are not kashadhari never mind Amrit dhari , out of them 50% will not even be able to tell you the first Five Gurus of Sikhs, Five Banis for morning and their are families who have not even 1 person in the family who have 5K’s. What we going to do about these people ? b. is it right ? Yes it is right / must be right / most of the Sikhs ( Ok pretending Sikhs) don’t even know what the hell this talk is about . c. any counter effects of it? Eliminate the 90% of Sikhs with one hukamnama from India , it is much better then KPS Gill, Indra or Arungzeb did . Yep get the Hukamnama ASAP. Shell I book the charter flight for all the Sikhs who want to go to India and get Hukamnama from Akal Takhat Sahib ji, ( How dare they don’t issue Hukamnama about this good deed). d. Do we need this? Well even if we have just 2 really pure Sikhs in the world that should be enough so yes we do need to kick the rest of the Sikhs towards may be Islam I think Muslims will be very happy to have all these dirty Sikhs. Then we will have fantastic highly spiritual Sikhs who will be so nice to look at themselves in the mirror and amazed at their achievements. e. Would this benefit the Sikhs ? Well it will certainly benefit , Hindus, Muslims, Christians and other Anti Sikhs organisations so we must implement it quickly. Let their be no delay, all the youth get their Kirpana ready and stand up and be counted as …… well something , as after the filter of this thing most of us will not be Sikhs. Thanks
