You clearly are a 'sant' follower. Why bother putting faith on a human when guru told us not to follow dehdaris. Only sant is used for guru sahib and nobody else. -
Of course you can eat jhoot from your spouse. We are not brahmins! I wonder how this hindu mentality has crept into our sikhs. There was I time when I was misled and ate only from amritdharees and out of Iron; never would consider jhoot from a non amritdharee as it would supposedly affect my naam kamaee :stupidme: Now I have learnt my lesson. If the rehatnamas were so important why not put them in the GGS? Clearly they were not important to do so.

Don't you believe that red will get you punished by the messenger of death according to bhai nand lal's rehatnama? Also please explain the contradiction of the use of colour red in gurbani according to your understanding from the tuks I posted?

You need to control your emotions but my interpretation of guru ji's shabads are different than yours. Remember Gurbani is our guru not rehatnamas

If gurbani hates the colour read (which it doesn't) as you suggest then it makes gurbani contradictory, which we know isn't the case. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਲੋ ਲਾਲੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਉ ਰੰਗਿ ਮਜੀਠ ਸਚੜਾਉ ॥ गुरमुखि लालो लालु है जिउ रंगि मजीठ सचड़ाउ ॥ Gurmukẖ lālo lāl hai ji▫o rang majīṯẖ sacẖṛā▫o. The Gurmukh is the deepest crimson of crimson, dyed in the permanent color of the Lord's Love. crimson is a deep red colour. In the above and below tuk gurbani loves the colour red? :biggrin2: ਸਬਦਿ ਸਚੈ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਲੁ ਕਰਿ ਭੈ ਭਾਇ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਬਣਾਇ ॥ सबदि सचै रंगु लालु करि भै भाइ सीगारु बणाइ ॥ Sabaḏ sacẖai rang lāl kar bẖai bẖā▫e sīgār baṇā▫e. So make the True Word of the Shabad your red dress, and let the Fear of God, and the Love of God, be your ornaments and decorations. Why the contradiction according to you?

The red color is vain and useless; it cannot help you obtain your Husband Lord. ਇਸੁ ਲਹਦੇ ਬਿਲਮ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਰੰਡ ਬੈਠੀ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ॥ इसु लहदे बिलम न होवई रंड बैठी दूजै भाइ ॥ Is lahḏe bilam na hova▫ī rand baiṯẖī ḏūjai bẖā▫e. This color does not take long to fade; she who loves duality, ends up a widow. ਮੁੰਧ ਇਆਣੀ ਦੁੰਮਣੀ ਸੂਹੈ ਵੇਸਿ ਲਭਾਇ ॥ मुंध इआणी दुमणी सूहै वेसि लोभाइ ॥ Munḏẖ i▫āṇī ḏummṇī sūhai ves lobẖā▫e. She who loves to wear her red dress is foolish and double-minded. ਸਬਦਿ ਸਚੈ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਲੁ ਕਰਿ ਭੈ ਭਾਇ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਬਣਾਇ ॥ सबदि सचै रंगु लालु करि भै भाइ सीगारु बणाइ ॥ Sabaḏ sacẖai rang lāl kar bẖai bẖā▫e sīgār baṇā▫e. Thats the full shabad above its talking about a women who prides her red dress when she got married to her huband meaning the union with God (as thought in the hindu religion). But just have a red coloured dress is not going to give you union with God. It says the colour will fade in the next tuk and she becomes a widow meaning when her husband dies where has her union with god gone now? Showing that this is false marriage and is lost in ego, Please try to understand the meaning of the shabads.

I had darshan of the shabad which is guru. PERIOD. Rehtnamas are written by others who could have misinterpreted guru ji's words or they could have been tampered with.

If gurbani has a problem with the colour red it makes it contradictory and superstitious the red is used as metaphors like in 1 tuk its a metaphor when the day turn twilight and in another it talks about hindu marriage doesn't mean reaching god.
