Yes, shipping from UK to USA is expensive. However, even with that taken into account, for someone in the USA, it is still cheaper to buy from us based in the UK rather than buying form US based websites.

Reason i don't sikh items buy online because:
1. Quality not too good
2. Price too high (Shipping)
3. Not too professional (Many shop owners are not serious)

Maybe wait until they get a Hukamnama from the Gurdwara for the babies name and get that printed and framed for them?

Sikhistore ji, what brand or which company your turban stock materials come from?
Singh559, you are lucky to find a source who keeps one type quality. I know that the well known major players like 'Sardar Pagri house' in Amritsar and many others in various other cities always get different brands/quality after depletion of big batch.

I think I have a full voile and the color keeps fading !
Next time, try to get a 'colour fast' dastar. These are dyed in a way which means they are resistant to fading. All the dastars we stock at: http://www.sikhistore.com/category/dastars/ are 'colour fast'.

There are no brands when it comes to turban industry. Every batch is different and there is no consistency. You will be lucky to find a good material from a good batch. I always buy material from different places hoping to get at least 5 out of ten pughs in good quality.
Have you tried us? We at SikhiStore stock Rubia, Full Voile and Mal Mal dastars and we try to only supply high quality colour fast dastars.

For any books that are in English, I'd highly recommend that you use some OCR software that can 'read' the text and then save as an ePub file.
This ebook then has searchable text, bookmarking, remembers which page you were on, allows highlighting, chapters etc etc. It is the standard format amongst things like the Kindle and mobile devices.

Fully agree with this. I think actually taking responsibility for a certain Seva and putting some time and dedication towards it will definitely show results and it amazing what you can achieve and what we can all achieve together. We know this from our experience.

The material you use is just personal preference. The 3 main types are Mal mal (F74), Full Voile and Rubia. Mal mal is the lightest material, full voile is slightly heavier and Rubia is the heaviest. We stock all 3 if you wanted to try them out:

I personally tie a small dastar under my main dastar, both full voile. Normally I keep the main dastar tied all day. Sometimes though if just at home I will tie just the small dastar.
