  1. KopSingh Phaji...

Today is Sangrand and the month is Chet. This is the first month in the Sikh Calendar. Vaisakh is the second month. It is quite a big misconcepton that Vaisakhi/Vaisakh is the Sikh new year.

Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jee and Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Arjan Dev Jee both composed Barah Maha (talks of each month) which are in Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee. See http://www.sikhiwiki...x.php/Bara_Maha for more info.

And MrKhalsa007, Maharaj dee kirpa naal, all is well. We've also had many compliments from Sangat worldwide including Israel, Australia, America, UK etc who say they have in the past struggled to get Sikhi Items and thankful SikhiStore has started to allow them to now get what they need. Asee ta kuch vinee karan valey, Maharaj na aap seva laye athey aap hee karai jaogeh.

  2. If you have been to Harmandir Sahib you'll know that sometimes you can be waiting in a tightly packed queue for easily more than an hour at times to get inside.

Having spoken to Singh in Amritsar, they say you sometimes get Sangat fainting from standing in the searing heat in the summer. When it rains everyone gets drenched and when you are in a tight queue. Whether hot or raining, it's not good as its not easy to get out of the queue or get taken out if you faint/have problems.

So chaninees are put up now anyway as required and have been for some time, which are temporary structures and do not look that good. What they are proposing now are permanent poles with a clear motorised retractable top which can be used as and when required. As chaninees are used as temporary measures anyway, this would probably look better and do a better job.

  3. Thank you for such an amazing seva... We used the article on www.kclsikhsoc.wordpress.com yesterday as a basis of a short talk at a local Uni Sikh Soc Simran Session about Baba Deep Singh Jee.

Couple of suggestions though - could you make the font easier to read in the PDF (maybe different font) & maybe also have the article on your website as actual text rather than a PDF.

    Thanks again.

  4. I would like to make one suggestion.

Please make sure sarbloh utensils and kakaars are of pure sarbloh only ie they should rust.

As per vichar of sarblohi Gursikhs rust free sarbloh utensils are not suitable.

Other than this, you are doing great seva for the panth, its about time we had such a store that can provide essential items such as bana, kakaars and utensils, this should have happened a long time ago.

Do you have an actual shop or is the store online only. If you have a store please provide address.

Dhanvaad and may Guru Sahib bless your Gurmat shop.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

    VJKK VJKF phaji...

Thank you for your kind comments and feedback. Apart from the rust free sarbloh bata all of the others items like our Sri Sahibs etc are all proper Sarbloh. From some feedback we have had including yours, it is likely we will not be restocking the rust free sarbloh bata once it sells out and will only stick to normal sarbloh items.

It is with Maharajs kirpa that this store has launched and we have aims to expand our product range to include all the things a Gursikh should need to buy. As Sangat is ordering we are re-investing this into increasing our product range.

And we are based in Nottingham, England but this is an online store only.

    Thanks,

    www.SikhiStore.com

  5. I wanted to order the custom made Kurta Pjyama but wanted to ask if they would be able to make one with the collars instead of a round neck? Also if possible upload a picture like you have done with the custom Taksali Chola please?

VJKK VJKF phaji... Yes you can.

    On the product page http://www.sikhistore.com/products/custom-choley/custom-kurta-pyjama/

You need to enter details about your Kurta Pyjama. Along with the sizes, enter any other preferences like collars instead of round neck etc. We have updated this page now on the website to make it clearer for customers in the future.

And we are awaiting photos for this, maybe yours could be the one photographed :)

    Thanks,

    www.SikhiStore.com

  6. Can you ship kirpans internationally? Or is it too much of hassle with customs

Thanks for your enquiry Phaji. We are able to post any of our items worldwide with no problem. Each country have their own laws/regulations about customs and imports though (for example, England does not allow curved blades over 20inches) so that may be something you would like to check.

  7. We'll start by first thanking you all for the many warm wishes, support and encouragement.

You will also be glad to know that many products have arrived and more are set to arrive this week. We will have a variety of Kakaar and other items at great prices that we are sure you will love.

  8. Will you selling non sharp edged shastar like jangi karay ?

Think from now on, we'll make you all just wait and see what we have when we launch :p (regarding this one though, my brother who has done all the ordering and is still in India has also sent a variety of karay, not sure on types yet though. We're expecting the big delivery to arrive here over some time next week :) )

Everyone please spread the word about SikhiStore.com to your friends and family though, this can only be a success and long term viable solution with the Sangats support.

And don't forget, if you sign up to receive emails before we launch via www.SikhiStore.com, we'll also send you a 10% discount voucher by email to use on launch day!

  9. Will you guys be selling mal-mal cloth for dhamalas? I

Live in US so it's hard to find them online for a good price because of shipping. Hoping yours will be cheaper!

To start with we will only have Full Voile cloth.

Other members of the Sangat have also given various good product suggestions. which have all been noted. As soon as SikhiStore launches we will be re-investing the income on increasing our product range so if something you were looking for is not listed for sale on SikhIStore at launch, don't worry, contact us about it and you may see it listed a little later on.
