  1. people who commit acts like this are not true muslims... i've met true muslims and they always condone violence like this.....

dont go beating the hell out of muslims.... thats pretty stupid.. u've gone down to their level.....

instead try to educate people that are like this.....  try to find out why they did this.. what motivates them and go to the root... if u beat the crap out of them.. next day they'll go after u again.. and it'll continue.... instead use our guru ji's words to fight them... they are stronger then ne force in this world.

    Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh

After taking Amrit I am thinking about changing my turban style from the tradidtion Punjabi pug :T: to the round dastar :e: . Can you guys give me some pros and cons about the styles?

    Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa

    Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa

    Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

The five Ks given to us by our father Guru Gobind Singh Ji, are still very important.

The Kara, in a wedding ceremony the ring is worn to symbolize the link between husband and wife, in the Amrit ceremony the Kara is the link between Sikh and Guru.

The Kesh, it seems like it is even more important today because everyone just blindly follows the norms in society. Man cuts hair on head but not on body, woman grows hair on head and cuts on body. !???! Our Guru wanted us to keep our body "natural", as God made them.

The Kanga goes with the hair, obviously to keep it neat and clean.

The Kachhera is a reminder to us to always be pure and fight temptations against lust.

The Kirpan, the Sikh ceremonial sword, "Kirpa" means act of kindness or seva and "aan" means honor and respect. The Kirpan reminds us of the countless Singhs and Kaurs who gave up their heads to fight for justice. Even in the darkest times the Khalsa sword (Kirpan) never stopped shinning.

Our Guru is saying that sovereignty is a must for religion to survive, or it perishes.

Sovereignty meaning self government becasue at that time the Mughals were controling everthing even the Gurudwaras.

  7. Then why don't you advocate for the dismantling of the seperate nations of pakistan and india? That would be a start, there probably use to be no border per se between any country in asia, the middle east and europe. You would advocate for the dismantling of all those nations too right?

    Great reponse Buddasingh Ji.

Question for untitled singh ..what do you do when the verse Raj Karega Khalsa comes up in Ardas? Do you just keep silent and miss it out of your Ardas?

    Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa

    Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Buddasingh I know this answer will be very surpassing, but Yes I believe there is no need to put borders all over the world. Just imagine a world like that, free of borders, just one world flag. Because of these borders that people create there is false pride everywhere.

Birkramjit when I hear the words RAJ KAREGA KHALSA I dont think to myself that one day the Sikhs will have power of the entire world, Raj Karega Khalsa means that the Sikh(Khalsa) way of life will be successful.

Yes, I think everything that happened in 84 war horrible and at that time Khalistan would have prevented many deaths. But before 1984 why was Khalistan important, many famous authors and web sites say that it would help the Sikh religion to flourish and become pure. I for one am glad that we did not get Khalistan, Guru Nanak Dev Ji taugh that religions can and should live together. If we got Khalistan how we will be no different then the Hindus or Muslims. I believe God chose the Sikh people to live with everyone.

I believe that you should not have abandoned your K's NO MATTER WHAT. Have you taken Amrit? If not, and you think you are ready, then I think that you should go do the ceremony, because the 5 ks and Amrit go together.

All I can tell you is that the Sikhs choose death/torture instead of dropping their faith. Even in the darkest days the Khalsa sword never stoped shinning.

Make sure that your mom knows that you will not abandon your faith NO MATTER WHAT, then let her make a decision.

    Harjit,

The first thing I got to tell you is that you have to put your anger away, anger leads to hate. Namdharis, Nirankaris, and Radha Swamis all proclaim to be Sikhs, the funny thing is they are not. How can they be a Sikh, a Sikh is suppose to think of the Guru Granth Sahib as their last Guru, but these people have their own Gurus who give them instructions. The even funnier thing is they use parts of the Guru Granth Sahib, even though they are going against the Rehat. So Harjit, if you incounter any of these people, just treat them as you would anyone else. Over the years I have developed a helpful way of thinging, I dont care what others think of me, and I dont think of others or judge them. I try not to.

    Sat Sri Akal.......

  12. "IK ONKAAR

    There is One God

    SAT NAAM

    Truth is “His” Name

    KARTA PURKH

    “He” is the Creator

    NIRBHAU

    “He” is without fear

    NIRVAIR

    “He” is without hate

    AKAAL MOORAT

“He” is timeless and without form

    AJOONI SABHANG

“He” is beyond birth and death, The enlightened one

    GUR PARSAAD

“He” is realized by the Grace of the True Guru

    JAP

    Repeat “His” Name!!!

    AAD SACH

    True in the beginning

    JUGAAD SACH

    True throughout the ages

    HAI BHEE SACH

    True here and now

    NAANAK

    Oh Nanak

    HOSEE BHEE SACH

    Forever and ever true…"

For me these words are like fuel for my brain, this is what keeps me going everyday. Please, tell me what you think of this powerful message that our Guru gave to us?
