  1. and if you think that was just a joke do us all a favor and get some new material cause that was not at all funny! I still cant believe I read this on a Sikh forum
  2. WOW I NEVER EXPECTED THIS ON A SIKH FOURM!!!!!! SIM DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THE KIRPAN MEANS, LET ME ANSWER THAT FOR YOU: NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. One more question, how do you change or remove the music from a video?
  4. Say "SIX SICK SIKHS" three times fast lol (btw I pronounce Sikh as SEEEKKHH I think its cause I grew up in US)
  5. Very useful software http://www.boilsoft.com/download.html
  6. That one didn't work for me but this one did http://www.boilsoft.net/download/avi_mpg_splitter.exe
  7. So I guess what I am asking is, How can I edit WMP videos, and only record the parts I want?
  8. My friend has to do a powerpoint project for school about bad leaders in history, and I want him to do Indria Ghandi cause I have so many videos. But I dont want to play the entire video just the part about Indria Ghandi, so I was wondering how to only play a piece of the video in a powerpoint? Fateh
  9. lol if Japman is busy you can take these guys
  10. Manleen sis, be strong, be a Kaur. I really really doubt they will touch you hair, because they are girls they probably think hair is really important. Just tell them, " I am really sick of your joking around, (lol btw when speaking english Sikh should be pronounced *SEEEKKHH*)I'm Sikh, and as a Sikh I am not suppose to cut my hair, or get tatoos, or piercings because we believe the body is beautiful as is(I usually find that non-Sikhs understand better when you tell them about the tatoos or piercings part also). So can you please respect my beliefs." After that just go back to your seat and relax, the rest is God's will. Remember IF they do cut your hair its not your fault, you didn't do it. And IF they do cut even a piece of your hair off, let them have it, just tell them loudly: "What do you think you are doing, stop trying to convert me into one of you, I dont follow societys norms like fools, I am not forced so shave my legs or cut my hair because of society, I am a Sikh. Look at you (and then laugh), you are like objects to these men, who put you on high heals, make you go though so much trouble for removing every single hair from your body, and metal through your skin. You guys disgust me." or something like that lol, I just want you to be confident and strong like the Kaur that you are. Yo bro foeva: Gurjeet VJKK VJKF
  11. lol on the net all these KKK/skinheads have big mouths, but on the street around the so called scum (minorities) they are silent VJKK VJKF!!!!!!!!
  12. Just wanted to add, if more people know about Sikhs or even become Sikhs it wont affect the religion. Even if there is not even a single Sikh in the universe, or even if a single person doesn't know about the Sikhs, it wont matter. People benefit from religion, religion doesn't benefit from people. Maybe down here some people dont know of the Khalsa, but "up there" Akal Purakh knows all. VJKK VJKF
  13. Thanks for the replies, I am glad to see that I am not alone. VJKK VJKF
  14. I am sorry Khalsa Ji but I think that is a translation error, it says "Oh Nanank, by God's Command, we come and go" I completly respect your views on reincarnation and Heaven/Hell but my view is that the Guru used it in a metaphorical mannar. I believe that Gurbani doesn't want us to worry about the past or the future but focus on this life, and not do good to get into heaven but for the sake of good. I believe that when refering to for an ex. the 8.4 million reincarnations the Guru used exaggeration as a metaphor to show how it is very important to live a good life, or you will regret it. I mean why not 8.5 or 10. Khalsa please dont get me wrong I completly respect your views and have no intention to change them, but I just want to put my view out there as well. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ke Fateh
  15. well that is a completly different topic you just opened up, Guru means teachers, and Waheguru is ahh, like an experession, (wow God). Guru Gobind Singh Ji Said, "Those who worship the stones are think they are Akal are fools, those who think I am Akal are fools..." Also just look at the fist page of the Guru Granth Sahib written by Guru Nanak Dev Ji him self, " Akal Murat Ajuni Shaibung" (God is above births and death, timeless) Through out the Guru Granth Sahib Maharaj we see that the Guru express so much love for God, they thrist God, they claim to be the dust on God's "feet". Anyway I guess people will always have their own views, you are are entitled to yours as much as I am to mine. And I decided that I will give my mom a little hint about the picture praying but ofcuorse I cant stop her from practicing religion the way she want to, because after all a picture can only show the physical features of the Guru and not what the Guru is saying. 16. Actually it is called a Kachera, you wont think twice when take of an pair of underwear, but when taking of the Kachera you will think twice. And also lets not change the traditional dress of the Khalsa, or one day people will be saying instead of a Dastaar cant we just wear a hat.(actaully people have started that) Fateh
  17. I am very sorry to hear this sister, but like namg1 said "she is in PERFECT hands" dont worry sister. "Just as the ocean releases a wave out to shore, God releases souls on Earth, and just that wave falls back in to the ocean, the souls merge back into God." Weather you decide to bury or cremate, you must remember sis your daughter has already gone, only her body remains.(I realized from experience that it is more comforting to refer to her or him as (her body) or (his body). "Up there" with Akal Purakh there is no such thing as age, because the soul lives on, only the body has an age. When it comes to life after death/ reincarnation/ heaven/hell Gurbani uses metaphors, Gurubani's message is to focus on this life, and please dont think that God made a mistake "He" can never make mistakes, it was just "his" will. I know you have so many questions about your daughter but nobody down here will have the answers, only God does. But down worry sis you daughter is in PERFECT hands. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ke Fateh
  18. thats cool rsingh, what country do you live in?
  19. I talked to a sardar a little while ago and he told me that I am going to have to take it off he said its the same thing as the airport, he also told me that when there are more Singhs and Kaurs in LA the situation will get better. I am getting a little worried cause I got to go in 4 days, I really dont want to take it off, and if I wear it and show them, and make an attempt to educate them I will probably be arrested. (BTW I find when explaining to friends about the Kirpan, I find they understand very easily when I give them an example of how a King gives kightship to somebody(he touches the sword on the shoulders of the person maknig him a knight during the ceremoney)
  20. Why not ring them up and find out? 136093[/snapback] Ring Canada up? I live in the US. lol and I hope you didn't mean call the court to find out how their metal detector work lol
