WaheGuru Ji Ka Khalsa WaheGuru Ji Ki Fateh
Summer is upon us and that means only one thing:
Getting tanned … in the glow of Naam!
As most of you know, NaamNet organizes periodic Naam-Treks. Naam-Treks are a way of Gursikhs getting some extra Naam Kamai into their eternal bank account (you know, the one bank account that doesn’t close even when the lid on our casket does). Naam is the only thing that goes with us, so it’s probably a good idea to load up on it before taking the exit out of this world (you know, the one that we all have to take one day).
That reminds of the answer that a naami gursikh gave to the question:
“What is the difference between a dream and life?”
“When we wake up from a dream, we are exactly the same as we were before the dream. On the other hand, when we die, we will be richer (or poorer) depending on our Naam Kamai.”
Dunno about you, but I prefer to be RICH!!! So gursikho, letz git rich!!! Naam rich!! Glowing, Sparkling Naam Rich!!
The next Naam Trek is going to be from August 13th till Dhan Guru Raam Daas Jee’s Guru Gaddi Divas (September 16th).
Joining is as easy as 1 2 3 4:
1. Decide on what you are going to do on the Naam Trek. This should be something a little extra on your spiritual path. This could be anything from
doing daily seva
doing NitNem while sitting
reading an extra bani (with extra concentration)
doing mool manter a few times (with concentration)
reading a gurbani siteek
doing a few minutes of extra naam simran
japping 3 hours of Amrit Vela Naam Simran
going to bed earlier - if you promise to exit out of it earlier too J.
This would basically be tailored to you and your circumstances, something that you really want to do but just haven’t gotten around to yet.
2. Do a silent ardaas to Guru Sahib. Optionally (but highly recommended), send your commitment to guruz@razzolink.com (the NaamTrek co-ordinator) - making a commitment to others usually helps along the trek.
3. On Guru Raam Daas Sahib Jee’s Guru Gaddi Divas, offer your Naam Trek “Naam earnings” as flowers to Guru Sahib (and then bask in Guru Sahib’s blooming glow).
4. When you eventually do exit the hell (sorry, heck) out of here, do not forget to put in a good word for the good folks at Naam Net (they are banking on it!!)
Waheguru waheguru waheguru waheguru waheguru waheguru……..
