  1. I am older than you and not married. I will not marry til I feel grounded in the truth of all that is.

It is so easy to get caught up in marrying, kids, job, mortgage and pretty soon your whole life has passed and your left wondering where did the time ago. My advice would be to trust yourself, don't rule out marraige but don't blindly fall into marraige just because your parents/relatives think is the right move for you. Only you know you.

  2. Maybe I should have posted this thread here from the start so here it is.

I finally found a cd where I had a few audios I have been desperately looking for. I have combined a few seconds from each track into this clip:

Does anyone know who the keertanis are? I downloaded these audios from sikhifm a long time ago. the only thing I remember is that they are from Taksal.

    Thank you

  3. I used to have a drive where I had all my inspirational kirtan, I cannot find it but I want to continue feeling empowered. The type of kirtan I like is energetic and passionate, I remember an album released a few years ago, I think it was called 'Awaken your soul', can someone please point me to it?

Can you please suggest you favorite kirtan tracks in the following categories:

    Naam Simran:

    Energetically Empowering Shabads:

    Restful Peaceful Shabads:

Thank you, I really appreciate it :respect:

  4. First of all OM doesn't have nothing to do with hinduism and second, if someone chants OM then that is undermining Gurmantar? Where do you get that logic from?

If you find more peace by chanting OM u should follow hinduism....... you might be  enlightened by that...... but for a sikh undermining our own gurmantar is wrong in my terms.....

  5. Yes as a matter of fact you did, calling yogis clueless and joking about my opinion on gardening. You say you are here to learn but where is your open mind? I recommend tapoban.org for you, you would find many like minded individuals there.

First of all we are spiritual beings having a human experience NOT human beings having a spiritual experience so what is there to attain? What have you attained? what have others you are observing attained? According to you there is a tiny box called "sikhi" and everything outside of the box is oh so wrong, what a pathetic limited definition.
^^ dude get real, you can wait for your kirpa but allow others to make strides as well. If there is a physical exercise that also helps you spiritually then why don't you accept that? Gardening can seriously help one spiritually as can many other activities.

You should get off that high horse and revel in your humanity, that is the highest form of spirituality there is. Unity in Diversity.

Can you please enumerate OTHER activities that can help me spirituallly... maybe i should start gardening early in the morning. I've been in darkness all this while. I guess all the gardners have high spiritual level blush.gif

I am waiting for my kirpa, but i'm not stopping anyone.... if someone wants to practice yoga, be my guest... I might learn for physical fitness, but attaining spirituality is different..... the siddhas and yogis guru nanak devji met practised yoga, but still they were clueless about GOD. I guess they should have tried gardening.

Did I mention gardening is wrong?

Did I mention Yoga is wrong?

Oh wait do they come in "SIKHI"?

Because of my Pathetic definition I am here to learn more, to learn sikhi not yoga or feng shui.

Intellectually understanding Gurbani is not Sikhi, looking towards what Gurbani is pointing to is Sikhi. Just my opinion, argue all you want.

  8. Don't knock yoga til you try it. I find that Hatha Yoga releases the knots in the body and the mind settles much more easily after the tension is gone and you breathe much more deeply. Then try sitting for naam simran and I'm sure you will agree that hatha yoga is a very powerful tool.
