  1. Ref. from 100 Sakhi:-

Signs of Guru Gobind singh ji Coming(even though GUruji is Omnipresent then, now and would be in Shabad form).

    1. Scissors will not work when used on Hair.

    2. Sunnat(Circumcision) will not take place.

    3. Dead would raise from their graves.

these miracles would happen to show sign of Guru ji coming.

lmao hahahahahahah omg #dead I laughed so hard

  2. Obeying the Guru's hukums, which include but are not limited to taking Amrit, make one a better sikh. This path requires sharda, prem, and OBEDIENCE.

Amrit is not mere sugar water and it's insulting for you to refer to it as that.

how dare u refer to amrit as some sugar water ???? :angry2: :angry2: :angry2: :angry2:

it is that amrit which transformed birds into hawks, jackals into lions, downtrodden Indians into khalsa......

What you need to understand is that taking Amrit is a transition you make in your life to become part of the khalsa and adopt sikh philosphy. Obviously I don't think Amrti is just sugar water, however the context of my post was to get people to think. Clearly your arogance didn't allow you to do so before making your replies. Anyone can drink amrit (water mixed with some patasay) but the physical amrit is just sugar wate. It is not what is vital in determing how well you mold your life according to sikh philosphy. The message of justice that the Khalsa empowred was what turned "Indian into Khalsa." Also, stop being so sensitive you guys need to chill and stop being such pandits about everything.

  3. I thougt Maharaj ji Guru Gobind singh ji told us not to keep any relations with Dheermaliye's .

I'm afraid the video tapes of Dasmesh Pita talking about this issue were lost somewhere....... We don't know what, how or to whom he has said something. Say I were to message you a story and you were to tell a person in your life this story and they were to tell another and eventually 100 people know the story. Think about how much this story is going to change when it reaches the 100th person, it's likely to be a very altered story. If Guru Nanak's purpose was to help people move away from superstition then we can lend support to the argument that Guru Gobind Singh probably wouldn't support dheray babay. (OBVIOUSLY NOT!)

  4. I've heard of these lot. Not too sure about the above videos though.

I met two brothers who use to be monay and they were in a pretty bad state. It took a few years but they said - apparently - by the time their health improved, they took amrit, and they are now proper amritdhari with dumalla, etc. So make of that what you will.

I'LL MAKE OF THIS. If they do w/e the unfortunate souls in the video are doing I'm afraid they've moved back several steps. Taking amrit and tying a dumalla doesn't change anything. These are physical things which don't reflect what wealth these brothers have actually obtained. They might actually be more in debt than before. (note I'm not using wealth and debt as metaphors for what some superstitious people like to call "kamai", take them for face value as progress on the path of sikhi)

  5. A person who tries to give and take with god can't get anywhere. God is not your accountant. Being amritdhari isn't going to make you a better sikh than anyone else. Do you really think you've come to some higher level of understanding after drinking some sugar water? Amrit is important but you are yet to understand this my friend.

  6. Throw it in the garbage just like how hair goes in the garbage then get a new one. People who can't use basic logic like this OP are prone to following babay. You should be able to use your own brain and not come on a forum to ask about some ritual you need to do or something. Sikhi is a way of life not a variation of HInduism. It is so sad how prevalent the Hindu thinking process is in our "sikh" brothers. If people tried to understand bani instead of doing daily nitnem without understanding a word I'm sure such questions would not come up, at least not this frequently.

  7. Who tells you these absurd things that kakkars can't come off? It's not an arm or leg. You guys need to think things through with some logic and not act like all hell is going to break loose if a kakkar comes off. Having a kakkar on or off isn't going to change who you are as a person/sikh. Wear your kakkars but don't treat these possessions like they have some godly value. You don't realize this because it's so well integrated into people but this is a form of superstition which sikhi philosophy doesn't follow. Take this comment to your brain then your heart.

  8. There was a Singh who had no beard. He asked Baba Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa as to a remedy since men should have a beard. He was ridiculed as a khoja.

Baba Ji said for 40days put sangat di dhoor on your face and a beard will grow. Apply this same remedy for woman

Another example of what is wrong with "Sikhs" today. Sikhi isn't about growing hair with whatever you're referring to.

  9. This Nihung singh is very much COrrect. SIKHi doesnot mean it started only in Kalyug when Akal Purakh came in the form of Guru Nanak Dev ji till Guru Granth Sahib ji and Gave us Rehat Maryada i.e. 5 Kakaars.

THis 5 Kakaars Maryada was there since Satyug, But we foolish people donot remember bcz of Maya Effect. Only Satguru remembers what He had done in Satyug, Treta,Dwapar, and Kalyug; and Satguru was/is always there to guide us to correct path.

We people think We are sikhs bcz Guru Nanak Dev ji Started this Dharm in Kalyug and then only we became sikh......But What we tend to forget is Guru Nanak Were there since The Beginning(Refer to Bahi GurDas ji diyan Vaaran----Chati Yug Gubaar Varte)).....and when I was in CHurasi period....Satguru took me out of Churasi and Guided me since then(from Satyug to Treta to Dwapar to Kalyug.... to Sikhi Marg(True way of Living).

Not to offend anyone Sikhism is not a religion(as advocated by Many Parcharaks these days)......Sikhi is True way of Living in this Matlok....and Sikhi is not successful until you are guided by True Guru.

This user is a prime example of what is wrong with "Sikhs" today. I'm not even going to elaborate why. Read bani and understand it don't add your own mirch masalay.

  10. I heard a sakhi in a katha. It went a little like this.A Singh in guru gobind singh jis time was coming to meet him when Muslim soldiers captured him cut his hair, made him eat meat, etc. When he showed up in front of guru Ji he told of this ordeal.Guru Ji then asked "did you have sex with one of their women".The singh said no.Guru Ji then said you did not commit bajjar kruheits.

Then the kathavachak explained that if you do something by mistake then it doesn't need pesh but ardaas. If that singh had sex with the Muslim women then he was doing it for himself. He was getting the pleasure.

I heard this at the Gurdwara a long time ago.

What proof do you have about such a story... I can make up stories too. Stories are made up so kids develop a strong sense of faith. I'm just puzzled how gullible people above the age of 10 are.

  11. I think the views here are too biased. Colour shouldn't be such an issue and I'm not exactly sure from where people are getting these views. Singh, If you're a sikh and you practise nitnem I don't think the colour of your dastar is such an issue to be even brought up. I understand "colours of khalsa" , however If you're unawre the Akali party's colour is blue. So if you wear blue so you support Akali? NO. Users might see my views as too liberal but I think views here are too right wing.

  12. The movie does not mention how the British army tried to force the Sikhs to take off the turban and wear hats. Sikhs were beaten, court martial-ed, whipped to try them to give up their turbans. Finally the army had to give up (as WWI had started) and allow them to wear the turban.

All history is subject to bias.

  13. I would like to inform you that Harvinder Singh is bought. The "stunts" he pulls are backed by politicians. Last time he took his kirpan out and said a few worlds about the 9th guru, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and later about Bhagat Singh etc. In other words his image of a sardar is being used. The things he does are favourable in the public eye but the big picture should also be looked at.

  14. Have you read and understood all of Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji Maharaj? Your take on Sri Dasam Granth Sahib ji Maharaj is full of holes because a Sikh when at a young (young is meant literally and metaphorically here) age have not read all of Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji Maharaj and have not understood all of what is read, is told this is Maharaj, so bow and accept Maharaj as Guru. Here is another way to put it.....what does a son know about his fathers birth? A son from a young age knows, who his father is, but why are these same sons now denying who their father is? A father knows what is right for their young child and now these same young children are running around with their tongue hanging out and claiming i am the father!!! So i'm ask you again, what does a son know about his father's birth? A good son knows the answer to this question and accepts Sri Dasam Granth Sahib ji Maharaj. A bad son doesn't trust his mother on telling him who his father is and this son goes from village to village asking each village drunk are you my father?

Brother don't be the bad son. We are young and are ignorant, but never deny our father.

I agree with you there. Growing up a sikh and going to a sikh religious school in Canada, I've never heard of Dasam Granth till recently. So, as I stated earlier I can't make a decision since I haven't fully read Sri Guru Granth sahib Ji and have only learned about the existence of Dasam Granth.

I just want to make it clear that I'm not against "Dasam Granth" as I know most people on this forum are Pro Dasam Granth. Therefore, there must be something I don't know so I've began looking into it.
