  1. Science is incredibly important. I love Science (and History). Look at all the good things we've done with science. Eradicated some diseases, reduced the number of babies dying. Sent men to the moon, man made objects are going to leave our solar system.

A philosophical question, isn't it the responsibility to protect people persecuted by religious fanatics even if they are atheists? For example people exercising free speech and logic in middle eastern countries, isn't it the duty of the Khalsa to even protect atheists because we don't discriminate at all and see Vaheguru in all.

Regardless of whether you believe in waheguru, you are still a human being, and you deserve to be protected. Aren't we failing in our duty then. It doesn't say "protect the weak and oppressed, but if they are athiests let them be killed".
  2. - What is the reason for standing and folding hands?

You are standing before a king and asking him things. When you go into a king's court and want to say something you stand up. The folded hands is a a sign of humility.

    - After 'sarbat da bhala', who are we kneeling to? Since I have only been part of ardaas at the gurdwara- I have assumed this is matha tek to Guru sahib who is present, is this correct? Or is it like muslims bowing to God during their prayer ritual? When ardaas is performed outside the gurdwara and whenever Guru sahib is not present, does one still do matha thek to the floor?

In a gurdwara you kneel towards Guru Granth Sahib. But when they aren't present matha tek towards a gutka or where ever, God is everywhere/

    - Why do we kneel and stand up twice (before and after Fateh)?

I assume that is towards the end. Lots of people don't stand up after the fateh, but I guess they stand up again bcause the ardas isn't finished yet.

    - When is 'Sab sikhan ko hukam hain..' to be said? I cannot find this hymn in my gutka sahib.

Some gutkas don't contain this. Try learing all of the "Dohra" bit yourself.

  3. Let me be clear, would she have non-sikh lady would you show the same attitude.

    Answer is no.

The article painted it as attacks on sikhs.

I would. An attack on a woman is wrong. It would still be disgusting.

And it probably was an attack on Sikhs. Have you heard it on the news? Did the rail guards help? Also what was the need for the turbans to be removed and why randomly assault a young girl?

  4. I personaly don't think we keep hair because it is the "natural form", this form would then include uncut nails and running around naked. We came into this world naked. I believe we keep hair because they are Guru's stamp to show who we belong to and to show we are following a certain path. Also hair helps with spirituality, they are like little ariels.
