I'd think insecurities of individuals is a big issue. When one faces criticism of a belief or idea, instead of debating/discussing (which they do not have the knowledge to do) they go for what they think is the next best thing. Fighting. Another problem i think is trying put Sikhi into a box thus making everything black & white. We have tried to set up many moral precepts in order to do this.
