VJKK VJKF We have launched a new way to listen or download keertan from EktaOne.com ! We HOPE its made it easier to find what you are looking for. There are still changes being made to it so do bare with us and any errors, please feed back to us. As well changing the DOWNLOAD system, we have also launched a STREAMING system called EkStream which kinda acts as an online jukebox. The structure is identical to the downloading system so its easy to preview the shabad before you download or just listen to it online. All audio files have been moved around on the server. We understand you are trying to run a fair business and it was booked with wrong information provided to you by a renegade priest who has no credibility in the Sikh community. We run a website which reaches millions worldwide and we too are joining in the campaign, not to organise a protest, but to convince you before it gets to that stage to withdraw this ceremony from taking place with Guru Granth Sahib Jee present. I am sure you have been told the reasons why this is not acceptable in our community, and we are asking for you to listen to our request. The matter is drawing attention from Sikhs worldwide who will do everything in their power to stop this event from taking place and I am sure you can do without the protests taking place next weekend at your hotel. 3. The servers have multiple domain names pointing to them such as Sikhifm.net, Sikhone.com and others which is why you see "sikhifm.net" from time to time. 4. The name was also changed so it meant something and raised awareness of an important issue, which is unity. Sikhifm had no meaning to it, per se, and also, the website confused people who expected to find a radio station on it!

VJKK VJKF 1. Funding was a problem for us in a big way. IN february, we were locked out of our server because we were using an account on a server which was taking up too much of the CPU activity. They told us they cant allow us to continue unless we use dedicated servers - which booted our costs from 70USD(£35) to (190USD) £100 a month. We pay american servers. This got too much for the sevadars when by June and it was shut down, because they couldnt afford to keep paying for it themselves. However, after getting much response and requests to bring it back, we had, in particular, one sevadar who rose to the seva of donating a set amount of £40 each month. This gave us a bit of hope and something to work with. We looked into how we could get more donations and start raising funding for the website and these projects will be revealed very soon. However, we know that as more n more stuff is added at least once a week, and more users log on every single day, the costs will increase when reach our disk space or bandwidth useage again so we need to keep appealing for donations. 2. There are new sevadars on the team. Originally, the original sevadar who started it all off said they would take a step back however, they since are back full speed and combined with sevadars in the North (eg Leeds) and South (eg. London), the seva is continuing.

Sikhifm was "discontinued" in June, due to problems with funding and other reasons. EktaOne.com was launched as the new face after huge pressure and demand from the sangat... the sevadars were unable to say no to seva, and we try n scrape by with the funding us students have :-) But its all good...
