Why do they deserve too? Akal Purkh decides who deserves what. Nobody inherently deserves Sikhi it is only received by doing good Karam, what karam.have these people done to deserve Sikhi?

Maybe they don't have Sikhi because they don't need it.

I bet you my house that them peeps are less greedy, lustful, egotistical, angry and attached to less than we are.

Not at all saying thems the only that make a perfect or better person. But I am wondering, what wonderful Karam did you do?

I told her its her duty to make wholesome, tasty food for her husband (me). Thats the least a husband expects from wife. I also said if she can't do that I will start eating in restaurants. All this discussions happened in front of entire family. I was crying a little.

Honestly though, I deserve good food with a wife. What's wrong in this ? I know toxic feminists will say your housewife isn't a domestic thing, I would like to tell them then I ain't an ATM either. I never b*tched about having to earn for her.

Don't tell my dad that it was mom's duty to cook for him, he been doing over 40 years now

Seriously though, Sounds like something my Muslim mate would say.

Can Harinder provide a historical source, that states that Guru Ji was kidnapped and murdered. Has Harinder read SGGS? If so, he would know that Guru Nanak is the embodiment of the creator. Does Harinder expect us to believe that the creator, who creates maya, is incapable of the powers of Ridhi and Sidhi?

Does Harinder expect us to believe that Guru Nanak, the embodiment of the creator, could be kidnapped and murdered.

Brother, can I ask you please, were the other Guru's that came after Guru Nanak Dev Ji, also embodiments of the creator or Just Guru Nanak Dev Ji?

same thing could be said about the 1000 year old Brihadeshwara temple of South India built by the Chola empire, its built of 80 tons of granite and is 66 meters tall

Image result for brihadeshwara temple granite

80 tonnes? My car weighs over a ton. I think you got that wrong.

That piece at the top is about 80tonnes. And to get it on the top, elephants pushed it up a ramp using logs as rollers ?.

Or you can believe it was giants or aliens or giant aliens ?

  5. My parents are over 65 and Amritdhari. Makes me laugh when we are watching Sikh program on sky and someone with a certain style of dastaar is on TV and mother always has to point out that the person is a Mistry. Or she says 'tarkhan lagda aa'. Then I'll be like 'oh so he doesn't look like a Sikh then? Why you be treating man's differently?' then she be like 'they say themselves they are different with their Ramgarhia gurdwaras etc.' lol

When I ask them why they still believe in castes. They say people who are amritdhari don't have caste but everyone else we should treat accordingly. But then they still point out so and so was this caste before Amritdharis chak. Old punjab folk like my parents are really petty when it comes to things like this.

Another thing just to give an example of their way of thinking. They'll say it's okay, or even good for us if my sister ties rakhri on my wrist because I'm not amritdhari. But for them it's a strict no no. But then they try encourage us to do. Same with Lohri and other things.

We've had plenty of conversations about this and I know they will never change their thinking. Many of the older generation are like this. Some changed but others refuse to.

  6. you want positives

    1. they make dastars visible and more commonplace

    2. they break cultural expectations i.e. sikhs are only indians

    3. They have translated Guru ji's bani to spanish (quality of translation I'm not sure of maybe someone can elaborate)

    4. They know how to tie a dastar properly and when they keep kesh they do it fully not trimmed beards etc like some desi guys

    5. There is a high proportion who try to learn and perform kirtan comparitively to average sikh population

    6. More likely to immerse fully into Sikhi if gets proper exposure

    7. Like to promote themselves and the sikh lifestyle

    8. Laid back and not testostrone driven mostly

    You should add

    9. Don't care about caste?

  7. no matter in what way you think

this thread is useless and how much time have you wasted and how much time have you wasted for others

    taking actions means helping !!

no matter in what way you think "Church" is a christian term , and we are not stupid enough to call our gurudwara's church

if that was the case all religions afraid of being judged like islam would call their temples church , do you have any idea how absurd this sounds?

    this is psychological aspect

people who are afraid of their own image or things so that others should not harm them suspect these changes

the same way many of punjabis started shouted "hindu sikh bhai bhai " wherever they went after galughara ,it literaly means "we are afraid and we dont want to fight , please spare us"

are you that big of coward to say we should change our own name of temples gurudwara's to churches? NO !!!

guru sahib gave us a different look , khalsa is nyaara we are not here to go with the ways of the world, we make our own ways !!

if everyone followed this cowardly idealogy then people wont be fighting for wearing kakkars or turbans abord they would be cleanshaven , like most of the people who have accepted it as a defeat !!

    stand your ground !!!

Hence this is a stupid topic , which serves no purpose !!!

you want to help , contact basics of sikhi, establish a team . do street prachar !! talking on forum isnt going to do anything !!

I did not say anything about Gurdwara, Church, ideologies or whatever else your chatting about, yet you are asking me if i'm a coward for allowing Temples and Gurdwaras to be called Churches?

    What you talking about?

I simply pointed out, after I saw your post on the first page crying to the mods to close the thread, that this is a place of discussion. If you don't want to contribute something to the topic of conversation you don't have to. No one is forcing you now are they? I replied to your post on first page where you were crying to the mods to close the thread because it's what you want. Dude the world doesn't revolve around any one of us, you get it?

this thread is useless and how much time have you wasted and how much time have you wasted for others

How much time did you waste writing that crap you came up with?

Anyways, IMO (well everyone has an opinion don't they), the word Gurdwara should be as well known as Church, Synagogue, Mosque etc. People should know by now Gurdwara in Punjabi = Gurdwara in English

We keep calling them Temple's which has a Generalised meaning.

  8. Hi guys I was talking to a 14 year old Sikh named Navjot Singh on facebookfrom Jammu whose family took in his best friend who is a non-Sikh after his parents kicked him out of their home and he told me his parents have forbade his best friend to cut his hair and have forced him to wear a patka. What do you guys think of this.

Why was he kicked out in the first place? Was he doing putte kam?
