  1. hmmmm...well, how could I slit my own throat and then eat myself? that doesn't make sense to me...
  2. here is one of the documentaries i first watched where a lot of my knowledge about Guru Nanaak comes from...
  3. I came here to gain knowledge but seems I am being shut out...did I come to the wrong forum? Is this place like "base"* ? Is there another sikh forum I can go to that might be more willing to answer my questions and maybe a little nicer? If Sikhism really is a true religion and is right for everyone in the entire world, why be selfish with the knowledge? Why not share it? We should be more like this guy: He has complete faith in what he believes and isn't afraid to tackle the tough questions... *Base- When we were kids and played tag, "base" was the place you could touch and be safe where you couldn't be tagged
  4. Haha! i'm sorry but anyone who makes a serious life decision based on fb needs help
  5. Oh and one last thing, am I not allowed to ask questions? How am I to come to a better understanding of the Sikh religion and possibly a better way of life if I can't ask important questions... To me only a coward would avoid the question before trying to answer it...someone who doesn't have the answer....and I'm not trying to offend anyone, but that is the way it is coming off to me, like you are trying to dodge the question rather than explain to me in a loving, convincing way that what I have been taught may be wrong and then let me make my choice. Just because you've had to defend your beliefs in the past doesn't mean you should never have to again in the future and I don't mean everyone here, thank you for your answers to those who have given me answers about Sikhism, I truly truly appreciate it
  6. I have already watched these peta videos....but I know in Native American culture, we hold the animals we eat in the highest respect freeing their souls to move on to the next life in peace. There are places to buy free roam native american meat too..... but this is beside the point, I mean, I'm not talking about the way the mainstream food processors raise and kill animals, yes it is cruel... And besides, I'm not even sure that eating meat IS right, I have considered vegetarian for a long time, but when I try it feels like I am missing something so important in my diet. and I get sick more easily when I don't eat meat thats the issue I am raising, not whether eating meat is right or wrong for sikhs, (stop taking everything so personal) it's whether there is a time, people, and place for eating meat. But also, I have done research that says that if everyone stopped eating meat, we could almost eradicate cancer altogether. but I just wonder if that is because of all the steroids and other artificial things put into meat in the big business because I know my people have been eating meat for thousands of years and it never affected them negatively until recently.
  7. Animals don't suffer when you eat them, they just die, like swatting a fly, even though in my personal opinion, swatting a fly is worse than killing for food because at least when you kill for food, there is a greater purpose in motion than just temporary discomfort
  8. Oh and my last part was deleted becauseI posted too many threads too quickly, so please get your facts straight before tossing blame around like a hot potato
  9. man you guys seriously need to stop I'm truly trying to learn and speculate and find answers and besides, I haven't promoted eating meat, did I once give an excuse why you guys should eat meat? No, I am simply trying to contemplate the meaning behind creating us vegetarian, then allowing us to be omnivorous, then turning us back into vegetarians. I mean, seriously no offense to anyone, but when I look at a cow my first thought is to eat it But maybe there's something I am missing?
  10. Well now elephants are a different story, if be terrified of an elephant! Even if it was nice!
  11. scared? I grew up on a farm and we had cows and bulls and I remember them escaping, and rounding them up, but I remember most vividly that the cows and bulls are more scared of us than we of them, they were easy to control if you showed force and domination
  12. I believe that before the great flood humans only ate vegetation...this is what the Torah tells us, "And gave him all the vegetation of the field to eat" but I do believe that after the flood, God commanded Noah to make a sacrificial offering and eat the meat making an allowance for the eating of meat. Now there is all kinds of restrictions on the eating of meat, but it is allowed, in Abrahamic faiths of course...not talking about Sikhism here.... But in other parts of the world there is different belief systems on what you can and cannot eat, such as Sikhism, only vegetarian I have been meditating on why this would be, why would one set of people be allowed to eat a certain kind of food, yet another set of people a different kind of food. So here is my conclusion: Sikhism recognizes the different belief systems right? So to me that sounds like Guru Nanaak knew something he didn't completely reveal. Maybe, now this is just speculation based on my research and personal opinion. Here is what I get from it: Sikhs have a purpose to fulfill, Muslims have a purpose, Christians have a purpose, jews have a purpose, Hindus have a purpose...and so on and so forth. So Maybe, each set of people, to fulfill their purpose, may need a different set/ type of nutrient intake. I don't know...what do you guys think?
  13. Have you heard that a daddy long legs can understand you? You pick it up, ask it, "which way are you going daddy long legs" and it will point in the direction it wants to go... I've done it in English and it works, but I'm sure it works in all languages...maybe they can read our minds....
  14. Its a theory that inter dimensional creatures have taken over the government system and infiltrated the media so to keep the common person more interested in menial happenings and keep morals loose and Morale low so it us easier to manipulate and use us hire they want as willing slaves That's why all the time there is menial changes in technology that don't really make a difference but someone will put all their focus into slaving away to buy it, than patty rent or send their kid to college...our even on the flip side train their children to be so focused on being educated to become rich and famous but forget to influence their children in the of God...so an entire lifetime is being used as a training ground to become willing slaves because this is what is being taught is important. And another strong point is immediate gratification. If you can let loose your morals to have temporary happiness them do it...this is what the media teaches our children and ourselves...forget eternal happiness be happy right now..steal that thing, have sex with that person, kill, cheat, gamble drink, is only hurting yourself and no one had the right to judge what you do to yourself, not even God...this is what the media tells us...and the entertainment business feeds right into this by allowing the outlets to fulfill these desires. The conspiracy, if tapped into deeply, introduces you to some unsavory characters who have immense power over your physical surroundings and things can get pretty scary if you oppose their system...they can harm you physically, send you to prison, have your family harmed and so on Sorry if you can't understand some if this I'm using Swype and don't have time to edit right now
  15. Yeah, seriously would wake up for work, assuming it was time or even on time, and all my clocks were either laptop or cellphone clocks so nothing that can just be like a dead battery or anything, so I would get to work and realize that I showed up two hours early! Our an hour late, but the clocks at home would say one thing and the clocks in my office said something completely different There was one night where I SWORE that I smelled fire and smoke and thought the house was on fire!I ran up to the kids, pulled them out of bed while my ex husband ran around trying to figure out where the fire was, you guys, I even saw smoke, and then....nothing. It was so real, and he even smelled and saw it so I know I'm not crazy, I just sat down and cried my eyes out I was so scared! I did some research on this and found out that when the reptilians are close, some people will smell a burning or sulfuric smell. I didn't smell sulfur, but I def smelled the burning
  16. oh man! but I think I got a little too deep a couple of years ago because strange things started happening around me, clocks started changing on their own and other crazy unexplainable stuff like unexplained presences and stuff, so I backed out of it until recently if it is just the camera does everybody use the same camera? it happens in so many videos of celebrities
  17. oh yeah been researching it for a while now
  18. Okay I know I'm going to get a lot of slack for this, but here goes...I'm a conspiracy theorist...total conspiracy theorist. I KNOW George Bush blew up the towers and it makes me mad that no matter how many of us accuse him, they won't take him to trial over it...the will IMPEACH Bill Clinton for doing the same thing every leader/celebrity/popular person/and random Joe does on the street...but when it comes to the serious issues...who cares? But yeah I believe in reptilians too...Do you? Oh and isn't this video creepy?
  19. No, Muslims have 160,000 according to the quran, But Mohammed PBUH was the last...and seriously I did see a couple of things int he article that were disturbing, but all in all it was pretty positive. Some people just may not understand the slang...sick, used in the context of the article is def a good thing
  20. I do? Wow! Didn't know that! The only protest I remember doing was against violence and torture...but I guess you know me better than I know myself Well thats what I was saying, if you have to take sikhi vows, then maybe he was a sikh at heart and just because his family is hindu was being judged a hindu, or maybe he was scared to tell his family that he wanted to be sikh and this is how he told them...i mean you never know, thats why I am a huge activist about not judging people...YOU JUST NEVER KNOW...only God knows
  21. The books that Guru Nanaak wrote while speaking with the Holy men
  22. Would love to help but I have no idea :-P
  23. Oooooooh cool :-) thank you for explaining that :-)
  24. Our dying for any other reason and eating meat could save your life? Sometimes I get confused between upholding faith until death, and self preservation. ie muslims are allowed to eat pork, if they are starving and can find nothing else to eat If there is no religious ruling, tell me your personal feelings on the issue and why you feel that way...please :-) *Mod Note* Topic closed. You should keep all your questions in one thread. No need to create multiple threads for them. Thanks
  25. I looking at it and I think I see swords, am I right? What else is in it? Where did it come from?
