Here is the initial source code for the app . Looking for volunteer developers (react native)

If you can donate some money that will be great as well - we can hire professional developers

Why not approach one of the existing Gurbani App makers? I think that would be better idea than creating something more 'niche'

Existing app(s) could add your idea as a new feature to their app

The Punjabi community in the UK is celebrating the success of former Army man and influencer Inderraj Singh Dhillon who has recently broken a European powerlifting record by lifting 375.5 kg in the 120-kg category. An elated Inderraj, who posts his training and contests as @beardedwarrior1 on Instagram, after his sterling performance in Poland, said,” My first international and I walked with a gold deadlift medal, a silver squat medal and a European Deadlift Record. Going from nearly pulling out to hitting the podium twice was surreal…”

Edinburgh cabbie who asked women for sex after they couldn’t pay fare has conviction reinstated

Faisal Aziz will now have to sign the Sex Offenders Register as his appeal against his conviction is dismissed.

The conviction of a Scottish taxi driver who asked two young women for sex after their failure to pay the fare upfront has been reinstated.

Faisal Aziz will now have to sign the Sex Offenders Register as his appeal against his conviction by a lower court is dismissed.

The women, aged 18 and 21, hailed him when he was driving his Volkswagen Passat in Edinburgh city centre in the early hours of October 5, 2019. Aziz pulled up and picked them up despite his licence being restricted to pre-booked passengers. But when the duo said they could pay the fare only after reaching their destination, the cabbie said, “What else can you offer…sex?”

Following the argument, he drove off leaving the passengers in an empty street but the duo managed to snap a photo of the car’s number plate.

In August this year, appeal Sheriff Alasdair MacFadyen ruled that Aziz’s remark had not been sexually motivated and reduced his conviction to a breach of the peace.

As the case was taken to the High Court appeal court, Lord Justice General Carloway disagreed with MacFadyen’s ruling that the taxi driver’s proposition was “different from obtaining sexual gratification.”

Lord Carloway said there was a “significant sexual aspect” to what Aziz had told the passengers and “that is exactly what his request was.”

He said young women who have been drinking are entitled to protection from “predatory males seeking sexual favours in exchange for fares”.

“Whether the expectation was for immediate, or deferred, gratification does not matter. The only defence open would have been to raise the issue of a reasonable belief that the complainers consented”, he said in a written summary, reported by the Daily Record.

“That might have been open had the communication been made in a social setting and between persons known to each other. It could hardly have been available in a situation involving strangers in the relationship of potential taxi driver and passenger in the public street where the passenger’s obvious desire is to go home and not to indulge in sexual activity,” Lord Carloway said.

East London man who posted his girlfriend’s nude photos online and set her clothes on fire admits harassment

An East London man who stalked his girlfriend and posted her nude photos online has pleaded guilty to harassment.

Anhar Hussain, 33, who has been remanded in custody, will be sentenced on December 19.

Snaresbrook Crown Court heard that his relationship with the woman which began in 2020 soured the following year. Following a heated argument, Hussain posted her nude photos online and to her family after cropping himself out of the images.

The incident triggered outrage between Hussain and the woman and her family because of their cultural and personal beliefs, the court heard.

Hussain later created a fake social media account in her name and began communicating with her family when she was no longer in contact with her family.

She discovered this when she spoke with her mother in April this year. As she was told to leave her family home, she moved in with Hussain at a Romford address, where he subjected her to coercion, shouting at and screaming into her face. Hussain would also keep his girlfriend locked in the house when he went out.

Hussain once threw the woman’s clothes out of the flat and set them on fire. As she moved to another house, Hussain began to harass the woman by constantly calling her.

He also tried to manipulate her in a bid to get her to return to him. She eventually approached the police.

Investigating officer Cathleeya Kittisara said the woman showed sheer courage and unwavering strength as she supported the police during the protracted enquiry.

“She has moved from her position of loss of faith to now attempting to move on, with her perpetrator no longer harming her,” Kittisara said.

Although Hussain was bailed out twice, he showed no regard for the justice system and continued to harass and threaten the woman, the officer said.

“It has undoubtedly been a huge challenge for her, facing turmoil in her relationships with her family, whilst all the while being tortured physically and emotionally, and in fear for her life,” Kittisara said.

Psychic who forecast Harry and Meghan Oprah interview reveals 2023 predictions

Self-confessed psychic Nicolas reveals his 2023 predictions

A psychic who claims he predicted the coronavirus pandemic, the Notre-Dame fire, and Meghan and Harry's Oprah interview has revealed more predictions for 2023, including a malaria outbreak, celebrity heartbreak and turmoil for the royal family.

Hollywood astrologer Nicolas Aujula, 37, predicted an 'influenza disaster' dominating the world in 2019 – a vision he now thinks predicted Covid-19.

The therapist, originally from South London, said he also forecast Donald Trump losing the US election and the Black Lives Matter global protests, which both occurred in 2020

"I remembered my past life - I was an Egyptian queen, a lion and a teacher and I was in the French Revolution. And I think that was a real turning point because that's when I left school and trained as a hypnotherapist in regression therapy."

Since then, he has had regular visions - some come to him through dreams and others strike when he is out and about.

He believes his gift has helped him to predict some of the most newsworthy events of recent times.

Nicolas explained how he feels when his visions come true, saying: "So for me, on the one hand, there's that element of comfort, knowing that we can see the future.

"But, on the other hand, we can't change it because no matter how much I tell people, people's behaviour doesn't change."

Nicolas has now shared his forecast for 2023, which involves celebrity heartache, more royal family turmoil and a British sporting triumph.

He predicts an increase in mass flooding, malaria and power outages on a global scale, and has had visions of a royal palace or presidential building on fire, which he thinks could be symbolic of people wanting a change in who is in power.

Nicholas thinks 2023 could be a poor year for the royal family.

"I think the royal family's income and popularity will go down," he said.

"So they may sell their properties, or they may turn something into a hotel, or they will have to diversify.

"I also think that King Charles will be having health issues. Maybe it has to do with his heart or with circulation."

In politics, Nicolas believes the cost of living crisis is set to continue for several years.

"I think the economic decline is going to be very long-term and could be something that lasts six or seven years.

"I think the worst will come at the end of the decade - we'll go into recession, and things will get better, then we'll have another.

"I think there'll be a double recession globally. As a result, we'll see many job losses and companies closing down.

"I feel that the Conservative Party will have another crisis in the summer, between June and August."

However things are looking up in the world of UK sport.

Nicolas predicts a win for a British cyclist in 2023, saying: "I see someone with a British flag on a bike that's broken some kind of record."

In celebrity news, he forecasts an all-male celebrity brawl at a film festival or award show, whether physical or verbal and heartbreak for Madonna and Beyonce.

The first lesson regarding charity that a Sikh must learn is from the first Bani, Jap ji:

    Pilgrimage, penance, compassion and charity,
bring only a sesame (tiny amount) of honour (merit), if any.

Whoever heartily hears, believes and loves in his mind,
obtains salvation by thoroughly bathing in the shrine within himself.

So, the first thing to know about charity is that no charity is above having love for God in your heart via Gurbani.
    Charity is useless without Gurbani.

Therefore you need to sing Gurbani every day with love. Once you do that, you can give donations.

If you're asking about specific charities, I would recommend asking family in Punjab and giving money to specific individuals (such as a poor Sikh whose ceiling fell in due to rain).

I would recommend giving to Sikhs, not to United Way and other general charities. Those get plenty of money from Western governments and corporations, meanwhile some of our people are starving or in debt.

Also, Dasvandh is an integral part of a Sikh's way of life.

    Sangat Ji,

According to you whas the best way of giving of desvand?

With God's grace am thinking to start putting 10% towards charity from my monthly income.

I could select charities and give away?? But too many problems there "The CEO is corrupt" or "Company uses donations on rock n roll" etc.

Any good advise for that small first step?

    Your Seva

And, charity starts at home. Don't give to the big National/multi-National/'climate' charities as their CEOs etc make much higher amounts of money than average wages.

We Sikhs have to rise above the falsehood of the British. The thikning of these peeps when dealing with ethnic minorities is of superiority. They killed over 400 Ghadar revolutionaries around 1916.

Even today the very concious of the common man is being tested because of the lies of the British. But what is more dangerous is our own people siding with them.

The super powers don't want to admit the lies put out by the British. We infact are governed by power in 2022. Anyone challenging them is wishing for a death wish. Look at of Saddam and Gadaffi. Sant Bhindranwale challenged the Indian Government.

And they have downplayed the role of the non-British from the colonies who were in the British Army in the World Wars and made great sacrifices.

Why is the Hindu fanatic group RSS so concerned about Sikh conversions in Punjab to Christianity?

What about the Sikh genocide in 1984 in Hindustan.

In reality they only care about Hindu Dalits in Punjab who in large numbers are converting.

Be beware of both of these groups Hindu or Christian. They want to finish Sikhi in Punjab.
