Sorry Confused, I can't find the link, but I have read a detailed thread on www.tapoban.org a while back . From what I remember many go there to get rid of "spirits". I think there is a place called Baba Wadhbag Trust in Greenford (Southall, UK). I found this on tapoban.... Bibi Taejinder Kaur jee was not married yet, but in 1948 she received amrit at an amrit sinchaar organised by the Jatha. Her family was against her wearing a keskee as well as her rehit and began to bother her. Bibi jee felt as though she had no choice but to take off her keskee. Bibi Taejinder Kaur jee wrote a sorrowful letter to Bhai Sahib Randheer Singh jee in 1951. She had a sickness of the throat and one lung and sometimes she would cough up blood. She also began to have a light fever. Bibi jee's older sister decided to take Bibi Taejinder Kaur to the Dera of Vadbhaag Singh to have her fever treated. (Dera Vadbhaag Singh is in the mountains and is a place where people who are "possessed" go to be cured of various diseases, etc.) A false Baba there tried to put her under his control using different mantars and tried to make her do as he wished but Bibi jee began to meditate on Naam very forcefully and he could not do anything. The Baba then gave the Bibi some water he had read a mantar into and she drank it. The fever was lifted but inside she began to feel sorrow that after drinking the amrit of the True Lord Satguru Gobind Singh jee, why had she taken the water from this Baba? She then sent a letter telling her story of pain to Bhai Sahib Randheer Singh jee. The following is Bhai Sahib's reply: Bhai Sahib's Loving Letter to a Troubled Youth By Bhai Sahib Randheer Singh jee Translated by Admin www.tapoban.org Ik Oankaaar Vaahiguru jee kaa Khalsa|| Vaahiguru jee kee fateh|| Kumaarhatii 15.9.51 Asthirr raho dolho mat kabhoo gur kai bachan adhaar. Jai jai kaar sagal bhoo mandal mukh oojal darbaar (p. 671). My suffering, most beloved royal child! I have received your anguished letter. I read it and my heart was saddened to no limit. My consciousness was moved and immersed itself in ardaas. From Nitnem, naam abhyaas, and in keertan, my consciousness was very saddened and I was lost in compassion for you. Whatever gurvaak's struck me as being suitable for you, today I have written down. The humble thought that kept arising automatically was that nothing bad can happen to this "bachee raaNee" (royal child). So I've sent all the baaNee with this letter. You too should read this baaNee attentively and let it reside in your heart and go in Chardee Kalaa. Child, Satguru jee will give his hand and protect you. Shaabaash! You didn't bow before that fake Baba. Wherever you went, you did not falter. This is a sign of your solemn and deep Gurmukh-nature. But child, you showed a weakness: after receiving Khanday Batay kaa Amrit of Guru Kalgeedhar jee from the hands of the Punj Pyaaray, you still drank the mantar-water from that Baba, which you call "amrit". Nanak Amrit ayk hai dooja amrit naahi (p. 1238) The Guru's tyaar-bar-tyaar amritdhari souls should not be satisfied with this type of lowly water. Child, if you hadn't already shown weakness by removing your keskee, then Sree Dashmesh jee would have come to your help and you would have remained every breath in Chardee Kalaa. You would not have even gone near these false-hocus-pocus hypocrites at the advice of your family. Sukh dukh tayree agiaa piaaray, doojee nahee jai.3. (p. 432). This means, sickness comes to all bodies, which are cured according to his divine will. But that massive pain which you have felt, and hearing from you child, I too have felt now, is that you consciousness has stopped from naam abhyaas and won't do it at all. This is due to some hidden mistake of yours. But child, don't become overwhelmed with too much pain. However your naam goes, make an effort to do it. If it doesn't happen automatically, then repeat it with your tongue. Day after tomorrow, on Sangrand, I'll do an ardaas for you. Satguru jee will help his child. May Satguru jee give me the chance and fortune to hear loving and vairaag filled keertan from your voice again. Satguru jee will help you and and fulfil you. The fact that you didn't bow before that Baba and didn't eat meat or eggs at the advice of your fallen family members [which they believed would help her health] and didn’t falter is a sign of Guru jee's great happiness with you. Child, a naam-abhyaasee's lungs can never be weak. May Satuguru jee give you wisdom so that you can engage yourself in naam's khanda again. No pain or disease will come near you. My blessings are with you. You should not worry. All these sorrows and tortures will be eliminated. May Satguru jee give you faith, conviction and confidence and may he never let you falter. Child, never forget baaNee: jai tan baaNee visar jai. Jio(n) pakaa rogee villai. May Satguru jee give you even more keertan than before. I hope Satguru jee will make you able and healthy to come to the Delhi Samaagam. I, then, will be very fulfilled and you too will be happy. Child! If you give up worry of pride and honour in front of the world and the nonsense of the faithless, your keertan will go in even more chardee kalaa. Do ardaas and adorn yourself with a keskee again. Become the wise daughter of Sree Dashmesh jee. Don't keep any other hope in yourself. Satguru jee will give you a Gurmukh husband. Don't try to be too smart [i.e. taking off my keskee will help me find a husband]. Now, with total concentration, repeat the shabads I've attached and also do the khanda of naam. Keep this list of shabads with you at all times. Nothing bad will be able to come near you. On September 26 I will be leaving Kumarhatti and the next morning I will arrive in Ludhiana. There, in Model Town, house number 126, on September 30 and Octobers 1st and 2nd, there will be an akhand paath smaagam for the birth of my new-born grandson. This will be at the house of my son, Balbeer Singh. The Sangat will gather there. There too your ardaas will be done. On October 6th, with the entire Jatha, we will arrive in Delhi. From October 6th to the 14th, there will be a non-stop smaagam in Delhi. May Satguru jee give you the ability to come and join the smaagam by that time. Now you should return to your residence in Delhi and stay with the Sangat. Aap daa att piaar kuthRaa, Randheer Singh ****************************************** Bibi jee reached the Delhi smaagam that year and Bhai Sahib jee went with her before the Punj Pyaaray and testified that this child has made a mistake, but she will not remove her dastaar again in the future. This was the first time Bhai Sahib jee made such a request before the Punj Pyaaray. Bibi jee's health became much better and until her final breaths in 1997, she did not take off her keskee. She was one of the first Bibis to do keertan in Delhi and would do keertan filled with vairaag. My first trip to the land of our Guru Sahibs was last year with Waheguru's kirpa at the 400th anniversay celebrations - it was amaaaazing! As we made our way to Amritsar I saw a couple of kesri coloured gatherings of Sikhs on the road sides near Jalandhar. We didn't quite know why, then we soon realised that these were langars and shabbeels that Sikhs were organising for yatrees on their way to Darbar Sahib. Practically the entire road from Jalandhar to Amritsar was lined with shabeel after shabeel, langar after langar. The roads were blocked with coaches, jeeps, cars, scooters (some were carrying 4+ people! :wub: ), autorickshaws, tractors and carts all adorned by kesri flags, kesri banners and posters portraying the first parkash in Amritsar while Nihang Singhs were making their casual journey on horseback. It felt like the whole of Punjab was going to Sifti Da Ghar! The roadsides had posters, hovering above the road were banners giving vadaiaa on the 400 year parkash utsev and people even decorated their dastaars with kesri strips saying "Lakh, Lakh Vadai hovai"! The journey that should take approx 2 hours ended up taking lose to 6 hours due to the huge amounts of traffic and sevadars hailing down cars (by force sometimes!) so that the langar that they had lovingly prepared was distributed to all! Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji! When we entered Amritsar city my stomach had butterflies, the first time for me to have darshan of Harmandar Sahib was nearing, I was feeling nervous. We checked into the hotel and I switched onto the live telecast of Rehras Sahib at Darbar Sahib on Alpha Panjabi. This was a strange feeling, I was used to watching the telecast with a 4 hour delay, sitting thousands of miles away in London. But today I was sitting in a hotel room perhaps only 1 mile away! After freshening up we made our way to Darbar Sahib! The old walled city had been blocked off to cars, so we began the walk down the narrow bustling bazzar alongside many others who were singing kirtan. We had finally arrived! ddit(h)ae sabhae thhaav nehee thudhh jaehiaa || I have seen all places, but none can compare to You. badhhohu purakh bidhhaathai thaa(n) thoo sohiaa || The Primal Lord, the Architect of Destiny, has established You; thus You are adorned and embellished. vasadhee saghan apaar anoop raamadhaas pur || Ramdaspur is prosperous and thickly populated, and incomparably beautiful. harihaa(n) naanak kasamal jaahi naaeiai raamadhaas sar ||10|| O Lord! Bathing in the Sacred Pool of Raam Daas, the sins are washed away, O Nanak. ||10|| The beauty of Harmandar Sahib looked particularly dazzling with all the lights adorning the complex on that night. The queue on the dashani deori was long but went so quick as we listened to the beautiful kirtan and sang along. There was alot of pushing and shoving as sangat was longing for darshan. Each time the pole held by sewadars to control the sangat rose, each and everyone of us wished to pass through. Indeed it felt like the entire sangat did get though at the same time as me! Waheguru did mehar, I entered Darbar Sahib. I clinched onto the golden rail and thought it was inevitable that I am going to fall down from the pressure of the sangat bursting into the Darbar Sahib. Then suddenly, it felt like the sangat in front of me, behind me and to my sides had disapeared. My Guru allowed me to matha tek in complete peace, no pushes, no shoves, no rush, pure peace. After getting up from Matha tek I moved to the left and just stood and listened to the kirtan. It was an amazing expereince - Guru sahib is so meciful. :wub: When I was ushered to move along, I simply sat outside the door and was allowed to re-enter for the samapti Ardas. I am thankful to Waheguru to have given me this opportunity. :wub: :wub: :wub: :doh: :doh: birathhee kadhae n hovee jan kee aradhaas || The prayer of the Lord's humble servant is never offered in vain.

Has anyone been to Gurdwara Vibhore Sahib? It's where Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji did rachna of Chaupai Sahib. It's in Nangal which I think is on border of Hoshiapur and Himachal Pradesh. It is soo amazing, the place is quite high up and has beautiful view of R. Sutlej (I think). Lots of cheeky monkeys too!

SSM ji I felt like that with India as a whole. But the moment I'm back in London, I felt I need to go back! Where did you guys stay during the Hemkunt Sahib yatra and what was it like? I would love to go but know the trip up is going to be ermm...rustic.

It made me wander and try to imagine how Gursikhs may have celebrated Gurpurbs during the time of our Guru Sahibs? I thought Khalsa Camp was brilliant. :wub: First time I have been to any camp and I am now thinking I have missed out on alot. I think it should become complusory! We were blessed with darshan of lareedar saroop of Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji! The feeling of walking to the Darbar Sahib in the Amrit vela hours, the sight of other Singhs and Singhnia also walking there, greeting each other with Guru sahib's Fateh and then being able to matha tek to Guru sahib while beautiful naam simran is being sung by the sat sangat! Waheguruuuuuu! I think the lecture about the meaning of life was the best for me - made me realise the value of life heerae jaisaa janam hai kouddee badhalae jaae ||1|| Human life is such a precious jewel, but it is being lost in exchange for a mere shell. ||1|| Like a diamond that it is formed after thousands of years, so we too have been going through so many reincarnations to attain human life and now that we have got it we decide to forsake it for worldy enjoyments, we get attached to maya, when in fact we should be using this precious opportunity for maximum naam abyhas. On top of this we have been blessed by Waheguru to have been born into Sikhi - how lucky are we? So stop watching TV guys! As NaamRas said workshops were great - the only problem was that they seemed to fly by and you couldn't attend all the various workshops. I wish I could have gone to Bhai Kulbir Singhs grammar class - I hear it was great. Maybe a sewadar could put this on the web for everyones benefit? I would have preferred shorter activity times in turn for more workshop time. I miss camp!

I listened into the programme and have to say a big WELL DONE to the respect guys and all the Singhs and Singhnia who attended the various places to avoid any beadbi happening. :doh: Overall, it was great to hear so many callers who support the campaign but I am shocked at the few callers who just don't understand that it is disrespectful to have prakash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at hotel/hall venues. One caller suggested that in Ilford nothing should have been done except take photos and video film, then show this evidence to the police, who would then escort the campaigners to take Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji out of the so called Giani's house. Which country do we live in? Would the police seriously assist in this? MP Rob Marris when interviewed on BBC radio said that the whole Respect Sri Guru Granth Sahib campaign is an internal religious matter - I don't think the authorities will assist us in this, maybe I'm too pessimistic?
