Wot worries more is no one in Panjab seems to care about Sikhi....

All these Christian Missionaries are making more n more schools in Panjab speak in english ONLY... how are they gonna learn about Sikhi? How are they gonna learn Gurmukhi to read Gurbani or will they just rely on english and the real meaning start to get lost?

And that is no joke its real serious my relative just came back from India who was speaking to a teacher in a small PEND... imagine what will be happening in the cities?

And not to mention more and more Christian churches are getting built and Sikhs with turbans sing in the choir to decieve other Sikhs into coming to the Church and they called Jesus Christ Sat Guru...

The Christian missionaries are decieving ppl with these pill stuff which i think i read on this forums...

Sikhs dont even understand the value of the Kesh no more, just cutting there hair, drinking alcohol and saying its acceptable and having no knowlege about Sikhi and having images of Hindu God's and Godesses in there homes.

Theres loads more stuff happening in Panjab... and soon Panjab will become a differnt place altogether if we dont stop this now! And i dont think im exaggerating... coz all this is happening every day and even while i type!

I think its bout time Sikhs in Panjab wake up!

All this proper upsets me but wot can we do, if they dont seem to care, but i feel like making them realise whats going on n if they dont want to know then if they wanna through diamands thats up to them.

    I was another Sikhi forum....

and i came across the question:

Can Sikhs deal with ppl with no belief in God?

    Coz according to:

    http://allaboutsikhs.com/way/amrit.htm

After taking Amrit you must not:

    1. Deal with persons who have no belief in God

    2. Take drugs, intoxicants and tobacco in any form

    3. Have any faith in magic, superstitions, charms and rituals

    4. Have any relations with mines (descendants of Prithi Chand, a brother of Guru Aijan who revolted against his father, Guru Ramdas, to have the Guruship for himself) Dhirmaliaa (descendants of Dhirmal, a grandson of Guru)

And i personally thought that Sikhs are allowed to deal with atheists but dont hang around with ppl who mock God, am i right in thinking this?

    Thanks in advance.

Kool question penji/paaji... its got me thinking now!

I've thought (for 5 mins) and ive tried to think of an argument for wearing braces...

And all i can think of is the fact that you are not actually changing your teeth to unatural... coz your teeth are still how God made them and your not actually changing them physically but they change by themselfs by the braces naturally arranging them slightly differently- not too sure on that making sense- unlike for example if your had a plastic surgery you would be actually changing the face unaturally coz its not how God made you.

And you could make your teeth more effiencient (if that makes sense) if you straighten them... and you wear braces for them purpuses instead of wearing them to look better- So it could be acceptable for taht reason.

Lol, i know it doesnt make sense but thats all i can think of to ware braces.

    I'm pretty agnostic.

Dont worry paaji... everyone goes through this phase of questioning about the existance of God once in their lifetime.

    I Define reincartion as...

Energy is never destroyed, always passed on.

    e.g

when a person dies, if hes buried, his body will slowly rott and become a part of the soil, then a tree might come along and grow off that soil, the tree could be used for paper, or used to make a wooden table, then that could be burnt and used for fuel and so on, so that person or material, is re-created again and again.

Buuuutttt, I dont see how it has anything to do with karam? are the conseqences meant to be experinened in this life or the next?

    What does Sikhi say?

And the Soul..What is it man, the conscience? heightened emotions? an energy?

Sorry if I offended anyone.  But, I'd really appreciate some deep and meaningful views.

Karam... this is simply explained by the saying 'what goes round comes round' and a verse in Gurbani which has a simular meaning... 'what you sow, so you shall reap'.

    Whats the soul?

The soul is the part of everyone which never dies... this body is temporary, once this body has died its died... but there will be part of you which will live forever, your soul.

So where does reincarnation fit into this?

The consequences of your karam (actions) in this life... will be in the next life...

A better way to think of this is of the Christian view of Heaven and Hell- Christians believe what they do in this life will decide where they go... Heaven or Hell...

Simulary in Sikhi we believe what we do in this life will affect where we go in the next life...

Mukti (this is simular to the Christian Heaven... being one with God... like droplets of water (humans) emerging in the ocean (God)... free from birth and death)

    Or...

Reincarnation... this is like Hell to us... since we are away from God.

The best way to think of it is reincarnation- unlike the Christian Hell, gives us another chance to go to 'Heaven' again... whereas the Christian Hell is for eternal and there is no chance given again to meet God.

    I hope that made sense.

I tried to read all of it... but i cudnt concentrate reading it coz ive got the flu lol.

But anyways i think i got the message this persons trying to point out.

Anyways i must stress the fact that this is my own personal take on this (lol it might be abit confusing):

I believe in most of the Granths in the world as revelations of God (but they could of been changed or altered slightly since none of them were written by the prophets themselfs unlike our Guru Maharaj ji is written by the prophets themselfs which is why some beliefs might differ)...

Ie I'll start talking about the Quran first... the Quran talks about the previous revelations... it says that ALL the nations of the world have recieved Granths... (divine revelations of God)... (the Quran also says theres no doubt that the prophecies/ signs and warnings are in the previous scriptures)

Now to the Bible and Torah these are also considered to be revelations from God by Muslims since the Quran says this... but the Quran also says that its been changed.

Zorastrians are also considered by Muslims to be the ppl of the book...

And now the Vedas... Hindus also conder this shruti (the revealed book... which was revealed to the Aryans... which is considered to be the literal word of God)... some Muslims also have looked for the Kitab-al-minnur (summet like that) which means the hidden book which the Quran talks about... some Muslims have translated the Upanishads (a part of the Vedas) and they think that this is the book the Quran talks about as the hidden book.

By the way the Vedas also says there is only one God (Brahman) who has no shape or form (but Hindus believe the 333 million Gods to be manifestations of the one formless Lord). And the trimurti (Vishnu, Shiva and Brahma) are considered to be the 3 angels the Quran talks about.

By the way the Vedas also prophesised the coming of prophet Muhammed aswell.

Now the Siri Guru Granth Sahib... also considered by Sikhs to be the word of God... is also prophesised in the Vedas but the Gurus are mentioned as there is going to be a Guru Nanak, then 9 progressors and then a silent stage (the Siri Guru Granth Sahib ji). Guru Nanak is mentioned as an incarnation of Vishnu in the Vedas... however since Sikhi doesnt believe God to have human manifestations... i think of it like all the Hindu 'God's' as prophets of God... which is why the Hindu 'Gods' made mistakes in there lives.

Since the Quran says that the prophet Muhammed is the last prophet but it also says that its been no doubt the signs and warnings have been revealed in the previous scriptures (i.e. in the Vedas which mentions Guru Nanak and the other 9 prophets and Siri Guru Granth Sahib Maharaj Ji).

To the reasons why there are some differences in all these faiths can be answered by using the Quran... the Quran says something on the lines of God could of made all the nations one however he never (i intepreted this as God could of made all of us follow Islam or just one faith if he wanted to but he never).

Now to the question why are there so many faiths... the Bhagvad Geeta also says when ever there is a decline in religion and a rise of irreligion then God 'i' (presumably the Hindu 'God' who said this is referring to himself) descent myself. This verse also backs up the fact that the circumstances of when all the religions have begun. Which can also explain why some of the teachings are different and contradict each other... depending on the circumstances and the day and age the teachings differed but the basics of religions is the same.

This also explain y there have been miracles in ALL religions to this day.

If anyone wants any links to anything ive said, pm me, and ill try to find the links from which i reached this point of view (but half of my views came from the fact of reading other scriptures as the dasmeh pathshah had told us to).
