if you ask me, i dont understand why anyone should meet anyone else through pictures or whatever. i think people should find each other on their own, not through some pseudo matchmaking service set up by their parents. i also think its wrong to confine yourself to one type of person (whether it be religously, caste, race, etc. etc.) since you could be more happy with someone who doesnet just seem like a good fit, but actually is one.

im leaving this forum, obviously each of you are determined to give your "advice" to everyone. Some of you need to evaluate what you said here. Just because im an athiest doesent make me an easy target for you to blast and try to convert.

yeh maybe the conscience is clean but then again I dont know y i have the guilt in thinking I wont be able to keep my Rehit Maryada just because I'm being forced to eat meat. My mum alwayz complains how I'm trying to put on a diet and stuff (just because i dont eat meat) and how I'm looking so weak. But for goodness sake there is other food available that can provide more energy.

i hear you loud and clear, i was a vegetarian for a while for safety and health reasons, and my mom wouldnt let up until i stopped. Just try every vegetarian food there is, and eat loottss of roti.

i made my own beliefs after researching a bit. I'm only 15, so i'll probably change a few times before I choose a true religion. The only 2 I semi agree with is Buddhism and Sikhism.

That was my cousins ID first of all, i wouldnt double ID. They are on their way back to england right now, and when they reach there i can get a hold of them for you.

i dont think you understand, the hives arent even my faviroute band. I do think pop punk is stupid and i hate it, but dont you realize that someone can hate most of something but like some of it? I have critisims of the hives, like their lyrics and them calling themselves pop punk, (which i dont agree with) but i still enjoy them quite a bit. I used THEM instead of my faviroute band (The Who) because not as many would have heard of them.

I was assigned this caste, and this race, and i dont have to love it. Just because im brown doesent mean i have to love punjabi music. I dislike it and THATS THAT. I hate it, because it doesent make me want to move. ROCK makes me want to move. I've sat through hundreds of partys listening to the music and hating it.

and dude, im a jazz musician myself and I know about music. I've listened to the greats like Bob Dylan, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Jackson Browne, Joni Mitchell, Jerry Lee Lewis (i dont care about his private life), and Chuck Berry for years. Dont tell me i dont know about music. And if you think im just namedropping to sound important, then your as immature as you think i am

i have to make a serious attempt, because it all sounds like preaching to me. And i dont mean EVERYTHING, just when people tell me about their beliefs in religion. probably because i have firm ones of my own.

Just because you don't believe in God, does not mean there is no God.  There is a God...you want proof?...look in the mirror...don't you see that there is an obvious design in your body?  The way your body works is amazing.  You have eyes to see, a brain to think, you need food and water to live...HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT WHO THOUGHT OF THIS CONCEPT?  It didn't just come out of nowhere.  God designed the earth, the sun, animals, plants, and everything has a design behind it...Who ever thought that you would have 2 eyes, 1 nose, legs arms, a mouth to put food into...who thought of all this...EVERYTHING HAS A DESIGN, AND EVERY DESIGN HAS A DESIGNER BEHIND IT.

dont EVER CALL SIMPLE PLAN PUNK they are NOT punk, but at the same time neither are the hives. both bands are pop punk, but the hives are way better musically and have better messages in their songs.

When I was 13, I was at a gurdwara and was being told to take amrit by a person i dont even know! I am now 15 and am still being preached too by people and am seeing it around me. I want to say now, PLEASE dont do that. It just angers people.

You may ask why im here, and its basically to gain experience around religious people and learn a fair bit. I'm an athiest born into a sikh family.

I would like to hear everyone's opinion on this...

i was saying that preaching doesent work. inspiration does, at times.

thats proof that some people get inspired, not that people genuinly will change for good once someone close to them tells them too
