Penji absolutely sympathize with you, i kinda feel the same way, took amrit etc, no singhni friends, they just dont wana know. theres some chardi kla ones, igo past say fateh and i get Blank stares........no reason, dont get it At all, my brother gets quite surprised so we just hang around together,

the lucky thing is ive got a brother who's that and a friend and my sangat. we go most smagams etc together, so im just saying thanx to guru ji for at least making giving me such a sweet bro.

THANX to some real helpful guru ke pyare's who offered some sound advice and im feeling alot better today, was bigtime in despair coz i fell in love with a guy and was to marry him.............but yesterday he told me it wasn tgona work..................and i was well

OMG!!! ive told panthic guy already that i AM attending classes just dont know what they're guna do about the issue, although did receive a call from a goree today askin me to csll her, shes from tvu, so that cud be the call.

true. i was asked same question by a singh, saying r u into akj, taksali.....

i was like hmm....im an amrithdhari, we're all one the khalsa fauj, thats what i think in my mind but i didnt know up till then that this is what goes on. i was shocked coz amritdhari belong to the one khalsa family, or used to, these days thats hardly seen.

Penji im in exact marriage situation, just turned 26 few weeks back.

im amritdhari and however do feel close to guru ji and in my experienc edont rely on others, camps etc when it happens it happens, have faith in guru jee. He will sort out your affairs, no one else panji ,trust me.

I thought it was all bout being in the right places, but in my experience thats not the case, coz we dont look at each other that way, and yeh sumdays i may get abit worried like i gota get married but i just keep walking, going uni and see what happens in meanwhile.

my parents are looking, they want to put my name in gurdwara list i just need to get time to give em a photo too. dont know if that way will happen, who knows.

ive had experiences where ive been introduced to guys and they kinda say no nicely (could be that ive got the most boyish looks haha ), i just think chalo singh pajee ho gaye, yeh it gets to me abit but guess what we're not living for others itsj just this game we're in and ultimately we gota play it, just remember that and keep saying , vaheguroo, vaheguru, try it it gets easier with practise, you'll find peace like no other.

guru jee knows all, what we may think or do , He still knows more!

ssm penji, yeah it is under clothes but half was not coz not to do beadbi to the kirpan. i am pres. of the sikh soc and have not seen ne amritdharis there, not many proper singhs too, me only singhnee, im strange for many poeple, especially the japanese, chinese students who always seem to want their pic taken with me to send home for their parents to see ..... hmmm.

il keep sangat updated on further developments, hoping i wont get more problems tomorrow

im in yr 2 now, and there was no problem with my kirpan last year, think no one noticed it, but as soon as i went for my first lesson today the module lecturer asked me to talk with him outside and said this.....some members in the class have expressed "concern" over my kirpan and (my kirpans bout 6/7 inch). Went to the dean with him who was polite but said its a knife and is illegal?!!! , i smiled and said sir its a kirpan, a symbol of my faith and i cant remove it ever to which he said, hmmm...i have no knowledge of sikhs! and will talk to the health and safety at the uni.

Now what i wana ask is if things dont go well what shud i do? Who can help me fight for the right to wear my kirpan at uni. I go to thames valley uni btw which is like soo near southall (little india) and you'd think they wud know evrything bout sikhi!! Any suggestions and support will be appreciated people, im a little worried :doh: .

I didnt want to sya this but i think i shud mention it now coz sum poeple are saying its okay to be just like society (randip singh) i'd just like to add that i went to my enrolment on wednesday and made my new nus card etc. They gave me a goody bag, i bought it home , didnt think much of it, later cheked to see whta was in it, there was mags, postcard, sweets and then.......a bottle opener!! why wud i need one??!!.

Cnat wait for freshers day where i'm guna do sumthing bout it being yr2 student president of Sikh.S, no1. get as much of those misled new students signed up to the SIKH SOCIETY, NOT any pub/club society!!!

Kids wud think hang on so its NORMAL to drink, unis and society here finds it normal doesnt mean its normal for sikhs. Do you want iskh students to think its fine to drink and get drunk whilst studying so they stay and "fit" in with society. You say go evrywhere but dont try anyhting, offcourse you'll try it when your in that company more and more each time.

No offence paje, but bani does say to watch the company you keep, and you can never be sure when the sangat will influence you. Why go to those places when theres so many other placs to eat out or take lucnh from home, you dont ned to go along with them , the only resason a person would is to fit in wiht them , the sikhs stand out when they dont follow, they are leaders who follow the true path, the path laid down by waheguru.

today was my enrolment for yr 2 at uni and that well i'l make it back in good time to hear amritpal ji's katha. Went to uni at 2pm, thought would be finished in hour, no chance!

the queues were out of this world, we were standing there for nearly 3 hours an dwhen i got out which was now 5.40pm , i thought yeh still got time will go straight to gurdwara. Nope, traffic absoultely blocked up from hanweell down to norwood green. I got out of it at 6.30pm and was in a mad rush to see bhai sahibs katha from beginning. The carpack was packed out too, by now as you would guess i was pretty miserable for not making it in time, was entering carpark and a friendly gursikh with long flowing beard come past my car and said , coz my window was wound down, ' penji im jus going from here, here take the free space' (vaheguru).The space was so close to the gurdwara, wud never get any from the no. of cars there!!!

vaheguru... is amazing and with his kirpa enjoyed amritpal pajees katha, which was how we shud make time for our guru and if we keep the pyar guru ji will make sure we recieve His darshan even thru the frustrating moments.
