  1. It's good to see that there's some of you who's minds aren't clouded with that Khalistan propaganda.... anyways, I think the youth should aknowledge that if Sikhs needed their own state, it woulda happened in guru gobinds times. This stuff about how we lost families and innocents in 84, and we're being treated like <banned word filter activated> by Hindus is the exact same <banned word filter activated> Muslims in Kashmir hear/heard.... Terrorism is a result. Our youth should be taught how to live with Muslims and Hindus ( which is the lesson behind guru nanaks teachings) , and not taught why we need to Be divided from them.
  2. Rambo's his new album comming out.
  3. Why do we matha tekh to the guru? like i know The Guru is our Guru and we're not allowed and shouldn't matha tekh to anyone else, but Why is that? - i was asked this question by a non-sikh who i brought to the gurdwara with me, i said i do it out of respect to the guru. but that isn't a good enough reason...
  4. No clue if there's already a thread on this. Anyways, isn't it a good thing for Pakistan if Musharraf to stay in power and not any of the other extremists? what's your intake on the emergency and the political state?
  5. i havn't found any topics on today's news or maybe its just that i havn't looked hard enough, but on the radio all day they were talking about Gurmit Ram Rahim and something to do with him in court. i've heard about the CBI's investigation on him about the rape and murder... but i asked my dad a couple of times what are they saying on the radio cause they were talking fast punjabi which i had a hard time understanding. My dad said he's arrested. Is this true, my dad wouldn't tell me anything else ony "its politics, you wont understand." SO my question is, is he arrested? and what's the recent news on this guy. also they kept mentioning the name Nagra, is he like the prosecutor or something???
  6. when there's a emergent meeting, who all attends it?? i guess leaders such as baba ranjit singh and jathas... im guessing bhai davinder singh sodhii????
  7. its not the case of agitation in the sikh masses, even if there was, there is no need for khalistan. i was a strong supporter of khalistan when i first came to know of the 1984 massacres. yet when i learnt more about sikhi, i realised that sikhs don't need thier own nation of land and water and resources, but a nation of a united khalsa. If khalistan succeeds, then we have no right to punjab in Pakistan, or our gurdwaras in delhi. Sikhs aren't fit to a peice of land... we are not like those muslims who need isolation, but we are sikhs who fight for our rights and destroy dictatorships and tyranny. instead of running away from the hindu government into isolation... we should show them our real power and become lions, not cowards.
  8. You make a good point Harmeet Singh in that investing is like owning a business. investing in stocks is investing in a company, so it may not be like gambling, but i think what our gurus really meant in not to gamble is that gambling requires no hard work, no physical labour, no sweat, but just luck and money, if someone else can elaborate on why we're not allowed to gamble, i would appreciate it. Anyways, The real question is does investing, owning bussinesses, owning property satisfy the our conduct way of making money and are we not suppose to make our money out of only physical labour? Or is mental hard work like trying to research a company equal to kirat di kumai????
  9. SSA, Most people know that Gambling is prohibited in Sikhi, in other words sikhs are suppose to make thier money from Kirat di kumai. Would trading in the stock market be going against the sikhi way of making a living?
  10. sorry i just read the last couple replies, they're more sensable
  11. i'm from canada, i dont know much about the uk, but ur questions were so retarded and biased... u should stop asking so many questions and go do something about the problem.
  12. hey guys, im confused on some stuff and wondering if some of u can clear some stuff up for me. can a sikh call himself jatt? if he cant call himself a sikh jatt then i guess he cant call himself a punjabi sikh? sounds confusing??? well let me put it this way. i believe that if u call yourself a sikh, then u shouldnt believe in status and call urself a jatt or dharkan even if jatt isnt a caste. what someone said to me was that u cant call ur self punjabi sikh either. i dunt think anyone one should catergorize(if a word) into any sikh but just a sikh. eg. sikh jatt, sikh dharkan, sikh ramgharian, sikh nirankari, namdhari and so on...... and what's it say in the maryada? sikhs cant believe in castes? whats the actuall word cause i know its not castes? the reason im asking is cause theres a debate on dholis.com lol i'm fully against naming urself sikh_______ if u consider urself a sikh, then stay sikh and not jatt sikh, if ur a jatt stay jatt nd not sikhs.... its just hurting the sikh khom.
