Everyone who watched the programme on MATV knows his name, I didn't name him as that is against forum rules so I described him, there was no offence intended. I have no need or intention to speak to this person on the phone or in person, it's been how long since the mata sahib kaur gurdwara closed and no one has come forward to give answers on a public platform or accept responsibility. After speaking to local singhs and others involved in the Gurdwara, singhs from both sides it was portrayed that the person you have named was solely responsible. I trust the integrity of the singhs I spoke to and know they wouldn't lie or make up false accusations so the collective word of various people involved is good enough for me. If that person feels this is wrong then I suggest he makes some kind of public appearance like he did on MATV too clear his name because I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been left with this impression. Just like Baba Ranjit Singh appeared on tv last year too clear his name despite everyone knowing he was in the right he still saw it as his duty to inform the sangat of what really hapened. Like we all feel pain when beadbi is carried out against mahraj then I'm sure the closure of a gurdwara is equally as painful to us all.

If the mods feel I have spoken out of turn or disrupted the stopping of beadbi against our guru then I apologise and ask them to remove my posts. Nothing is more important then the respect of mahraj and like I have said various times already, kudos to the singhs fighting against beadbi, you are truly blessed to have been tasked with this seva.

Mahakaal96, You have raised asked some interesting questions. A group of Singhs and the Sikh channel (who first covered the news live) provided evidence of beadbhi, can you do likewise to support your comments? If you raise the matter by starting a new post, I would certainly read it.

This issue seems simple enough, has a beadbhi occurred? In light of the evidence (and numerous independant statements), yes.

So, what's next? Despite efforts to resolve the matter particularly from Khalsa Diwan Afganisatan and the Afgani community, progress has stalled. Subsquently, there has been no public statement by the Gurdwara committee or alleged perptrators (who only seem to be a few). Whereas, an apology (via Akhand Path or Ardas) would have closed the matter.

As someone, that does not know any of the individuals in this matter I have seen the Sikh channel present an issue (and report) on a beadbhi, breaking news live, and then go completely silent while honouring one of the alleged perpetrators. As a donator/ viewer its not unreasonable to ask why?

What message does this whole saga send out to the Sikh youth?

Its in everyones interest for all parties to resolve this situation quickly and not make matters worse.

Instead, after pushing Sikh channel into a corner Dr Gurnam Singh made an extraordinary defensive statement which didn't address the topics and is unbecoming of a public figure.

If you want proof about that person then ask about him to the east london sangat. Or better still ask them why the mata sahib kaur sikh academy had to close? Or you could ask the man who lost his family home because of the rat(s) who were running the academy and why he's also been left with thousands of pounds worth of bills to pay on top of losing his house, I'm sure you will get your proof!

I find it funny that when the mata sahib kaur sikh academy needed to raise money that rat hid behind other people, getting other people to do speeches asking for donations, getting other people to appear on sikh channel and even going as low as getting small kids to ask for donations at east london nagar kirtans whilst he stood in the background orchestrating everything. And now this beadbi issue has come up all of a sudden he is at the forefront like some crusading savior appearing on TV??!

I am going to be honest and say I am not a big fan of any of the sikh channels we have. Yes they have had moments of brilliance but I think overall there is a lot more they could do but maybe in time we will see changes. I haven't watched any of the channels for the best part of a year now and was only alerted to the MATV programme via a text message. I was disappointed to see that one individual I mentioned earlier was on the show, after the role he played in Gurdwara closing down he should be locked away in quiet dark room somewhere contemplating his hand in a massive beadbi that took place, what bigger beadbi can there be then mahraj having to leave a Gurdwara, their asan being removed and nishaan sahibs being taken down? This is the biggest beadbi that has happened in the history of Sikhi in the uk!

Like I said earlier, respect to the 'true' singhs and sons of mahraj who stopped this beadbi taking place, just in future be vary of the rat(s) amongst you and keep them off TV where all they want is undue praise so they can fix their ruined public image.

Isn't he the same Singh who asked for donations to be made for Mata Sahib Kaur Sikh Academy but then quietly disappeared when the gurdwara doors were closed and nishaan sahibs removed?! What happen to those thousands of pounds from the sangat? Where was the apology to the sangat? Why was no sikh media called to cover the closing of a gurdwara? Where was an akhand path to ask for forgiveness held? Where were the sikhsangat posts?

Isn't he the same person who locals say stripped the gurdwara building to a bare shell before they left? Even taking radiators of the walls and going as low as removing copper wiring?!

Isn't he the same Singh whose actions resulted in a person losing his family home?!

Yes what the Singhs did in stopping the beadbi was 100% correct, but in future consider what sangat your keeping and who you stick infront of a TV camera. The 'true' singhs and sons of mahraj no doubt refused being on TV, but those with broken reputations to fix jumped at the chance.
