This is the post that started this entire thread. To suggest "a lot of US" learned and adjusted "THEIR" behaviour and not OUR, lays bear the true intentions of this person. This shepard needs a flock??? Clearly someone has waited all year to reengage this nonsense. As the original post clearly defines the posters position, it is clear to see the intention of stoking and creating arguments..........pathetic really. In just a few days I have had my fill of this topic, but imagine still ranting a year on?? Stagnation is the enemy of Gyaan. I may be completely wrong sometimes and genius others but my thoughts are never stagnant. This poster clearly feels that his point was either not appreciated last year or he learned nothing whatsoever and still assumes to be the authority on the behaviours of others. This member of the thought police needs exposing as do his obnoxious co-horts, demeaning the very essence of universal brotherhood with they're condescension and patronising negative reading of anything that differs from complete uniformity with they're own limited understanding. This is a theme that has been ignored by said poster......time and again. Personal attacks upon people for expressing a thought that may be wrong, not explained correctly or simply misunderstood appear to be common reposte among a select few. I have recognised this UGLY trend and now no longer respond to these fools. A word of advice to those of who we speak: Better to remain silent and be considered a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Oh jonny.,.....? Gyan is ultimate knowledge. One can only apply what he has learned and read. Therefore simply reciting Shabads and Gurbani without applying them to your very being and projecting them in your outwardly gestures is but a hollow gesture. This is but the plurality of Sikhi, our Guru is completed with Bhagats aswel, of all our Bhagats how many of us can say we know someone of that jhaat?? We read Gurbani yet isolate ourselves from our wider community. This is just one example, but it exists and thats an argument for another thread. Times that example by twenty little minute gestures a day, even a single prejudicial thought in a long hard week. What i'm failing miserably at, is to explain that i think your mistaking Mukhti with Gyan. You see, Gurbani will give the understander Mukhti by laying open the path to the world but that is a mental journey, your actual human body must relate that to the actions of the real/physical world. Most of us with me at the front of the queue, believe that we already do this, but actually don't. This process is not limited to time so charsi lakh jhoon should be ample, but your whole life getting Gurbani and ultimately Naam to be, not only our every thought but literally every breath and action......that is when all your pains are gone and life is tranquil and serene......heaven on earth until its time to leave......hence its only with Ghristi Jivan that Gurbani and Naam the true nector will be awarded you. Finally the simple TRUTH. TRUTH remember?? What our Sikhi is about.

Reading this Sakhi should have been easy knowledge for the lazy. Instead the diamond is thrown to sea. While we argue wether its real or not.....I am not jeweller but having read that Sakhi I fit like an absolute glove to the proverbial hand of everything Sikhi stands for.....in terms of humilty. It teaches us that Waheguru Sachai Paatsha wants us to remain humble within society but not to go beyond and humiliate ourself and putting ourself at a disadvantage in life. As, if Bhai Jodh had continued eating the leftovers, the energy spent dealing with ignoring the naysayers and the leftovers themselves would have left him malnourished both spiritually and physically. So how would he remain in Chardi Kalà?? Whats so dubious about that???

GPS Bhaiji you are absolutely correct, at Amrit Sanchar we have all taken amrit together as one soul and body, that of the Khalsa. However in this sakhi Guru Ji took the opportunity to reaffirm that jooth is not acceptable from the sangat/pangat of langhar because those eating the langhar were not all Gursikh. The langhar in those times was for all of the community without favour. Those who claim that the langhar is still that in the Uk are kidding themselves, the very people questioning the validity of this sakhi may well be the ones whose behaviour actually hinders outsiders/non Sikhs from partaking in langhar, with their attitude.

As per the impromptu history lesson, I am and have always been a Gursikh of Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh's Jatha. I was born in 1976 and my parents were blessed with the letter J therefore they chose to name me after Bhai Sahib Bhai Jivan Singh, after which I spent my formative years at his abode in Amritsar, often put to shame by his parrot who could recite Sri Japji Sahib with more clarity and purpose than me. But hopefully I have improved since. Bhai Fauja Singh's shaheedi is and remains misused in petty squabbles...........it is not for me to judge and there I shall not only leave this subject but this forum. There is a strong nazi mentality among apparent Gursikhs frequenting this forum. Sikhi is love. If you can't debate whilst remaining respectful and tolerant then you've lost the point. There is no history of Sikhs attacking or injuring anyone for mere verbal disrespect, Prithi Chand...Dhir Mal anyone????
